C means Compression stroke. F, H and I these three letters do not have any meaning. In alphabetical F comes first, H comes after F, I comes after H. So F is the basic grade, H is medium grade and I is the higher grade. All diesel engines gets started due to Compression stroke. So CF4 CH4 and CI4 are for diesel engine vehicles. In 2 wheeler oil it's mentioned that SL SM and SN. 2 wheelers or petrol engines started because of Spark plug so S mentioned. L, M and N do not have meaning. N is the highest grade in 2 wheeler oils
