bs, even if he didn't turn, Palpatine would have proceeded with order 66. Only difference would have been Anakin fighting against the 501st, and not marching with the clones. could it have been enough to avoid the fall of the republic? who knows.....

@@jjcleeton4798 so you think that palps didn't have a plan in case Anakin for some reason didn't turn? In my opinion he staged the whole thing with windu, and he was already scarred and deformed, even prior unlimited power.
Order 66 was inevitable, and that because the Jedi were blinded by their own arrogance (they literally accepted an army they didn't know about nor had commissioned themselves).
Hands down. One of the bests themes of all Star Wars, and all the movies story too.
It's definitely my favorite from all the Star Wars themes it never fails to make me cry
Yes, star wars wouldn't be star wars without the prequels and everything they brought ( the musics, the expansion of the universe, Anakin/padme story )
The same can not be said for the sequel trilogy

Specially after watch phantom menace , attack of the clones , clone wars and The revenge of the sith . It feels so sad.
Imagine an in alternate universe, where Padme and Anakin lived the life they always dreamed of.
Where Luke and Leia grow up with their father and learn all about the force. Where they defeat the villains and everything would be good and in balance like the force should be.
Always makes me sad. 💙

But that isn't as the force should be. To have the balance the jedi had to be mostly wiped out too. Ignoring the bullshit of the sequel trilogy. There is balance after ROTJ and anakin has been redeemed and the sith are destroyed, but there also isn't a complacent and corrupt jedi order

@@aidanremfry9097 The true tragedy is that there can never be a balance in the force so long as it exist. Since the force is connected to life and the universe, there will always be imperfections that cause the ebb and flow of the light and darkness.

I love to picture Anakin and Padme on the balcony where they got married, overlooking the lake with a twin in each arm. (Padmè holding Luke and Anakin holding Leia). They are fondly looking at each other and then they lean in for a kiss. The Naboo sunset is glistening upon them, and the babies are gurgling and making movements in Anakin and Padmès arms. Then they look out towards the lake smiling, while a mix of Across the Stars and The Force Theme are playing in the background. 🥺

@@razortosh Rogue One was amazing, with the Prequels... Force Awakens was good, could have been great with a proper sequel trilogy to back it up - which turned out to be garbage, sadly. I wish George was at the helm of his ship :(

This song was Anakin’s and Padme’s love song. It wouldn’t make sense to just use it wherever, whenever. Context matters
I saw on tumblr people noticed that the end of across the stars ends in a lullaby because Anakin and Padme's relationship ended with Luke and Leia 🥺

the prequels made me a star wars fan, and this song is my favorite soundtrack.
Revenge of the sith is such a gut wrenching movie to watch because of how close they were to having a good ending yet everything that could have gone wrong DID go wrong.
Anakin and Padme are kind of like Romeo and Juliet from a certain point of view
Finally someone see's what I see, I've been saying that since I first watched Romeo & Juliet.
I agree. Both are tragic lovers.
Definitely different stories but the tragic love that brings the death of both involved is the same the attachment of the man causing the death of both is the same, but the underlying tones are very different. Romeo hated his tribe and did everything he could to be with his loved one anakin betrayed his tribe and his love for power to become a mass murderer. The moment he choked her he showed his true love was his intoxication with power.his fear of the state of powerlessness to return to that little slave boy caused him to betray everyone who had saved him from that life causing him to be a slave again. Both stories tell the tale of self fulfilling prophecy where man meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.
@@Ancientneutralitydisagree. Anakin didn’t betray his tribe for “power” he did it because his attachment and love for Padme caused him to fear losing her and in trying to stop that from happening, he paved a way to gain so much power to prevent it. He only got corrupted by more power *after* he had gained it. Not before. And thanks to Palpatine. His love was not “intoxicant”. It was obsessive and passionate but that doesn’t make it “bad” or as people like to always assume “toxic”. Reality and fiction are different, and we have to remember to see the story through the lens of fantasy not reality. Though you could argue that Anakin’s love was used as a catalyst to drive him more into the darkside.
Check out the Love Theme from the Zeffirelli Romeo and Juliet. You'll notice it bears more than a passing resemblance to this theme.

I just wish for another star wars saga like this one. It is absolutely magnificent and the music is the best part of the movies 120% with the dialogue and everything it just gets 150% better.

what if anakin took palpatine in when he was told palpatine was a sith, some sort of proof had been recorded meaning the senate would fall onto the jedi's side, and palpatine gets sent away forever, even better executed. And anakin gets to reach his full potential and live a good life with padme, all the clones get to retire after the war
