The Mill - Wild waterside photography

There's nothing I like better than to spend a day on the lake. Wildlife photography is at the top the list followed shortly by relaxing in the hot springtime sun and topping up the tan.
Today we are exploring the Mill lake in Chelmsford, one of the many fabulous lakes on the Essex Carp Syndicate ticket. The surrounding are beautiful, the wildlife is awesome and the fishing... well, what can I say. I wish I still had my fishing gear but today is all about photographing and the vast array of wildlife on these stunning lakes.
Join me as I spend the day in search of wildfowl, insects and other splendid creatures that inhabit this truly magical place.

Very nice lake and very nice video, reminds me of the Passion for Angling series by Chris Yates when i was a kid. Refreshing to hear some suitable music as well as the wildlife. All goes together to really capture the atmosphere of summer fishing.

Nice video Simon. I too am a former lifelong fisherman that turned to wildlife photography, with an excursion for a few years in between into metal detecting. I,m loving my photography but often wonder if the fishing fire that used to burn away so intensely has been extinguished for good or is it still smouldering away unnoticed.

Pickup a rod, walk and relight that fire. It's a pastime that never diminishes. As they say; Once a fisherman always a fisherman. The photography and nature watch is always with you and goes hand in hand with the hunt.
