So glad to hear you are fasting! I love Dr. Fungs books The Obesity Code, The Diabetes Code, and his fasting book! He has so much good information. I have lost 14 lbs, lowered my high cholesterol back to normal, and lowered my blood pressure and my a1c. All in 4 weeks of intermittent fasting.
Today is the first day of my weight loss journey. I'm happy to have come across your channel. You're inspiring me to eat more vegetables and less red meat.
Congratulations on being alcohol free and your seven pound in total weight loss!! Thank you so much for your motivating post! (seriously looking forward to your next workout video as well) 😊
Great job Holly! Keep it up. I'm on my journey. I'm doing it very slowly but keeping up the downward trend. I've lost a total of 14 pounds over 6 months. Thanks for being part of my journey!
Congrats! Thank you for providing this forum as an accountability thread. I’ve lost 5lbs in the last 2 weeks and around your same weight. It’s great to have a virtual accountability buddy ❤️
This is so motivating!! Especially with kids i struggle to balance work home kids and my HEALTH. Thank you for posting. This is motivation for me to keep going and NOT stop. And congrats on being alcohol FREE❤
I am doing great. I am currently working on my water intake kind of slacked off on it so here I am working on it faithfully. So happy to see you start up again. Here's to NEW BEGGININGS! Keep pushing forward no matter what!
Good for you Holly, I love doing your workouts and you are so motivating. There will be times it doesn't all go the way you want, but as long as you keep on going, you'll do great!!
with regards to the white fish i make a envelope with foil and leave the skin on the fish add a few lemon slices onto the cod and bake in the oven for 20 mins at 180c
Amazing holly! I started watching your videos yesterday when I was looking for some work outs. I have lost 52lbs since last may, gone from 212 to 160.. but I still have the fitness level of someone at 212 lol. I can totally keep up with your workouts whereas no other work out has worked for me before. I couldn’t even get half way through those 15min ones!! Thank you for posting and keep up the good work 😀
Thank you for posting and congratulation on the progress you have made. I am using your posts as motivational tools for my own journey. My second weigh in was Monday and so far I have lost 1/2 kg. Happy with that. I am setting myself short goals. One motivational tool that is working for me,- I have committed to fun or treat shopping until I have lost my first 5kg. good luck this week, I'll be thinking of you. and THANK YOU!!
Also nice in tortillas, cold or hot, with finely diced veggies, raw or cooked ones. Or white fish tacos. Here, White Fish is actually a specific fish but I think Holly means fish that is not salmon.
Congratulations on your nondrinking 😊😇 your such a inspiration of strength. I thank ya so much for your videos and shares .your such a down to earth relative person. I thank God above I found your exercise videos and your personal shares it is truly a blessing to me thank you 😇
Congrats on the weight loss and giving up the alcohol! This video really helped me because although I have been doing well, this week I floundered a bit, not exercising often and not eating well balanced meals. You have motivated me to get back on track!
Great to see how well you are doing Holly - Wonderful on the weight loss - I have gone about 95% plant based - I am trying to get my eGFR up for my kidney health and eating less animal protein is helping. I will be doing one of your exercise videos tomorrow morning.
Congratulations keep up the good work. Losing the excess weight helped me in every single part of my life!! Getting my tummy tuck in may to remove the excess skin
Hi Holly, keep up the great work!! Good for you 👍💪👍 After my one week vacation I was kind of thrown back 2-3 weeks in my journey, but hey, I picked up where I left and continue loosing weight again. I set a certain goal and I’m close to reaching that. Really looking forward to setting up my next goal.. it’s all in the small steps😉 Good luck with your new week. Foods on Instagram looked simply delicious 🌟🌟
Well done on the weightloss and week 2 of been alcohol free. Have struggled with my weight a long time and really never given myself the time to really put effort in.but I'm at the stage were I can really feel it on me now.im similar stats to you 5ft 1" and in the 230s aswell so need to lose about aswell. I look forward to seeing all your videos you really are a great inspiration.
Amazing progress! Great work Holly!! How are your hunger/cravings been during your fasts? I found that having carbs or sweets as my last meal makes my hunger intense the next day but if I have protein and veggies then I'm not hungry at all until after my fast is done.
🌹Congrats on your another week without drinking and your weight loss. I am about 6 years sober. I am also losing weight to get healthy. I am so proud of you, keep up the good work. I am a born-again believer and I find that my relationship with the Lord helps in all areas of my life. Remember one day and one step at a time. It is also best to stay away from added sugars such as white sugars, pasta, and anything with wheat, white flour, and caffeine. You got this girl.🌹
Hi Holly, I always like to see people look after their health and I know you are helping others too. I am looking at a plant based whole foods diet. I have not started that yet but seems like it should be a good thing health wise. A big adjustment I am sure! You are doing great. Best of luck! You CAN do it!
Cod...coat with a creamy salad dressing of choice or mayo or oil along with Old Bay. The dressing is just to keep the fish moist and the spice in place so you don’t need to slather it on. Cook at 350 until white and flaky. Time depends on thickness of fish. Easy!
I think you are definitely right in keeping chocolate in the mix. You can’t do it all at once. Wine, like you said, is sooo hard to cut out because of the sugar and just satiety it provides. Keep the chocolate up. I started craving alcohol again recently and I started making iced tea loaded to the brim with ice in the evening and it seemed to light up the part of my brain begging me for some sort of “treat.” Super strange.
I started back in August trying to get the weight off. I am a good bit older than you & of course don't have any kids to run after. I am using a tracker app & losing 1/2 pound a week. People may say that oh you need to lose more than that but this amount works for me. Had a doc appt in February & he bragged on me about the change in weight. He ended that with keep up the good work. So I will end this with keep up the good work Holly.
Great job this week ! You’re making good progress and even baby steps can make a big difference ! I’m so proud of you, keep up the great work ! I’ve made a goal to get back to moving around more during this pregnancy and I’m feeling a lot better ! Surprisingly, my nausea went away after moving around and exercising to one of your workouts ! Hopefully I’ll come out of this pregnancy 50lbs less 😃
You are doing fantastic, you should be so proud of yourself. Giving up any addiction is difficult and you are doing several at once. If you keep up with the fasting and salt reduction you will probably continue a 1-3pd weightloss a week for atleast the first couple of mths. You will be losing water weight. Keep up the hard work Holly😊
Funnily enough I do my weigh-in on Wednesdays. I decided that Monday was the day to be avoided for various reasons (history of eating disorders) & I thought a weekend weigh-in was a bit depressing cos it's the "weekend" Also, I tried intermittent fasting last year & I actually really connected with it. But I was doing keto at the same time & the diet restrictions of keto tipped me back into binge eating. So I'm doing Intermittent fasting with just a "healthy eating plan" But I'm NOT dieting & I'm NOT restricting. Just trying to keep stable on a 3 meals a day & trying to sustain that for longer than 3 months & not crashing back into binge eating for 6 months is the goal. But yeh, Wednesday's is also my day 😊 All the best 👏👏 We can do this 💗 PS... well done with the weight loss 💪
Wowza, Holly! Congratulations! You are doing so well. I admire the focus and one day, one issue at a time take on things. And the bits in the park made me laugh, cause "mom life", but you did brilliantly. Absolutely right on about the sugar in alcohol. Folks at the AA would file out to the cake cafe right after the meeting! I replaced my chocolate with dark chocolate, increasing the "dark" percentage as I went on. Didn't much like it at first but now it satisfies a craving. Also, if you want to, try Medjool (expensive) dates. They are mega sweet and have a creamy kind of texture. So great on the loss, but even more, the focus and clear head!
Hi Holly! Well done! I like your idea of using your video s as an accountability thing. :) So, in that spirit, I can say last week was a bad week for exercise - I had a few days where i did things out of my normal routine, so I couldn't fit it in. I didn't put on any weight at least :D but got back to the exercise today - reluctant my. :D in terms of eating, I've just been doing mindful eating and we decided that we're only eating meat at the weekends - been doing that since Jan and seems easy to maintain. Thanks for the inspiration! x
Holly! Congrats on the weight loss! I’ll do it with you! I need a buddy to get motivated! Your skin in purging...that happened to me when I stopped drinking Coke. I found that a benzoyl peroxide and adalapene (Differin Gel) combo zapped that. Baked cod with lemon and dill is yummo.
Congrats! And godspeed on your journey. I've been recently drinking a Pretty Detox juice (The Pretty Detox. Com) and I've lost 7 pounds this past week! Super excited
Look at you making 2 weeks & 3 lbs lost look easy! 😁 Maybe try the Stovers sugar-free chocolate bars in the future. Look for them at pharmacies in the diabetic section. They really help me satisfy a chocolate craving without the sugar.
My step goal has been going well. I'm up to 7.5K steps (though so far I've done over 8K the first two days). I started out at 2.5K steps. I'm still as big as a house but at least I'm able to walk more steps without my back having a tantrum on me which is the main focus.
I guess your doctor recommended fish because it contains Omega-3 fatty acids which is very healthy. If you don‘t want to eat fish you can also take Omega-3 tablets.
At the moment I am very happy that I have no health problems whatsoever apart from sore muscles every now and then. Then it has become relatively warm here in Germany, tomorrow it will be more than 10 ° Celsius colder, so almost from summer and without wind back very windy and such strange weather, kind of spring, but also kind of autumn and rain showers and everything 😅 😅😅 I don't get on the scales that often, so I can't say anything because I eat intuitively and do sport intuitively. but it all works very well, I like to do it and I do it every day and at the moment I walk 6-12 km every day and tonight I have 2 hours of dance unit with meditation on Zoom 💕💕💕 and that does I really have a lot of fun, that's the main thing for me and apparently I've lost weight in the last few weeks, probably also because we had to travel from work and I was with my in-laws for a week and they make an incredibly good and healthy one Diet, lots of exotic vegetables like purple carrots 🥰 I always think my husband and I eat a lot of vegetables, but that's really NXTLVL for my in-laws. In spite of everything, I actually have a small goal to lose weight, I want to lose some weight so that I can hold my balloons more easily and roller-skate better again. But the whole thing is not in a hurry. If it works in two months, it will work, and if it works in four months or even a year, then it will be so. The most important thing for me is that I am healthy, that I get enough nutrients and that I enjoy life and not all my life and all my thoughts revolve around the subject of food, counting calories and ways of avoiding food or sets of rules so that I can eat as possible on the way or have to earn food through exercise. My great achievement for me in the last few days was that I was outside every day and did sports outside and went for a walk outside, although regardless of weight I have always been in my life as someone who grew up near the North Sea with a lot of wind and mostly mild but not too hot temperatures. Because I'm very, very sensitive there, and of course I now have various strategies such as having a spray bottle with water with me and of course being in the shade a lot or having a fan with me, but I can't take heat really well and that I have now really pulled through for three days and haven't been in bed somehow with heat stroke or sunstroke, that's really good for me and a little motivational boost that I don't have to be afraid of summer 🤗
I wrote you a long post a few minutes ago but I also wanted to mention I am off all three of my meds and also off all my blood pressure meds and a few other things I'd like to talk to you privately if you'd like
Many many good recipes for all kinds of fish in bariatric cookbooks. You do not have to have bariatric surgery to use bariatric cookbooks. They focus on very very healthy foods with low-to-mid carbs and low to mid healthy fat since they are primarily for weight loss and healthy eating because Bariatrics is for to learn to live a whole new healthy lifestyle for those people to keep the weight off after they have had these surgeries and whether you Ponder with the idea of the surgeries or not isn't the point with the point is is the cook books are to help people to lose the weight and keep it off in different phases of their weight loss Journey it will tell you in these books how to cook and what to cook depending on how many calories and proteins you wish to eat with protein is key in weight loss I use these cookbooks regularly. When I'm feeling the need to find something new or make a recipe or try something out. You'd be surprised at things that you think you don't like but when you Doctor them up with different seasonings things are lovely I do love shrimp I must tell you in about once a month I do eat it but I usually eat it cold and just by itself or if I'm cooking for someone else I like to make linguine with shrimp in butter and garlic and if I eat it I eat a normal size for smaller portion with a large salad. I have lost 93 lb over a time frame and regain 32 over a two-year frame and I am now on my way back down increasing walking a lot. There's a lot of things I can help you with and I am also in recovery from drugs for over five years so I can talk to you on messenger if you'd like some help. I'm nowhere near perfect at all but everyone needs support including me and you always give me that support whether you're succeeding or not
Are you doing your workouts still because that activity will definitely add to your weight loss. You are surely doing well a pound to 2 lb or 3 is excellent each week or two. And between the salt and the alcohol yes salt retains water weight and the alcohol is completely empty calories and they add up completely quickly and if you are sitting around after you drink or drank I should say and eating that chocolate that's the worst thing and if you continue to eat it maybe you should break it up during the day and not be eating it after you are sitting down for the evening this way maybe if you're eating little bits at a time maybe you can cut out a couple of pieces of it at a time until eventually maybe you're just eating little chunks that don't even add up to a quarter of the candy bar and slowly cut those out as well as you choose or don't if you can handle eating a tiny bit of chocolate. If you are addicted to the chocolate as it seems you maybe then slowly get rid of it completely by eating a tiny bit each day and it will happen. So proud of you and sorry I keep cutting in on you video it just is that for me I talk so much that I have to say what I have to say when I want to say it or I forget that is part of my mental illness
LOL my daughter does the same thing with her keys. Inevitably Sheila ends up patting yourself down to figure out where she put her keys. Please do not cut out salt from your diet; introduce good salt such as pink salt or Himalayan salt something along that line. If you get a chance read The Salt Fix by dr. James DiNciolantonio; I have mine on Audible. Salt regulates our blood pressure, our bowel movements, and every cell in our body has to have salt in it. I use pink Himalayan salt because it has a lot of mineral content to it. The first thing they tell you when you're diagnosed with high blood pressure which I was is to stop eating salt which makes your blood pressure go even higher oh, you don't stop salt because your blood pressure went up that just makes it worse anyway do some research with your free time LOL I know that's hard to come by
Trying to lose over 150lbs. You inspire me! Thank you!!!

with regards to the white fish i make a envelope with foil and leave the skin on the fish add a few lemon slices onto the cod and bake in the oven for 20 mins at 180c

White fish is nice baked with veggies, steamed with herbs/spices and also grilled in aluminum foil with olive oil.
I thank God above I found your exercise videos and your personal shares it is truly a blessing to me thank you 😇

you're looking very refreshed💪💪👌👌Keep at it!
Yay! Just here to cheer you on!
@@HollyHonjo ,thank you sweetie. Keep up your good work and stay positive.
Mahi mahi is my go to white fish.
Thanks for sharing your journey!
Oh my goodness! Well done Miss Holly! So very proud of your good work.
Thank you so much!
Hi Holly, I always like to see people look after their health and I know you are helping others too. I am looking at a plant based whole foods diet. I have not started that yet but seems like it should be a good thing health wise. A big adjustment I am sure! You are doing great. Best of luck! You CAN do it!

Surely it is not all water weight for the first couple of months! I'm sure because Holly regularly exercises that it will also be fat.
So pleased for you. We now weigh the same. I have struggled this month, wish I had the willpower to stop gorging on chocolate.
Funnily enough I do my weigh-in on Wednesdays. Wowza, Holly! Congratulations! You are doing so well. I admire the focus and one day, one issue at a time take on things. Congratulations on your weight loss! I found your channel today and we can do this together!!

Hi Holly! Well done! Great job girl
Good job! I’m on this journey with you!
Great job!! 😀
Awesome. Well done Holly, 2nd week alcohol free, and weight loss. Me, well I went crazy with pizza this week, so my weight is up.
Way to go!
Hooray for you with your weightloss! I'm wanting to get back into exercise & drink at least 64 ounces of water daily and get more fiber in.

Sounds like you're doing great on your journey. Well done. Thanks for all the tips.
Haw much do you weigh
The first thing they tell you when you're diagnosed with high blood pressure which I was is to stop eating salt which makes your blood pressure go even higher oh, you don't stop salt because your blood pressure went up that just makes it worse anyway do some research with your free time LOL I know that's hard to come by
Glad to see you back
