      Propaganda... The biggest goal was to give the people reasons for all the suffering. So the USSR was always looking for the bold project. Science was less important and the proof is in todays Russia. They lack science skill. They are not inventing things anymore. The CPUs they have stolen the ability to copy are decades old.. This is why its important to spread the power out as thin as possible. Too much power in 2 hands leads to disaster 100% of the time.

    • @Argentvs
      @Argentvs 2 місяці тому

      @@Andresen.All?. Nuclear power is the safest energy ever. More people die in wind turbines and solar panels production and operation than in nuclear plants.
      Fukushima was japanese corruption allowing back up generators on an active refrigeration reactor to be below sea level right I'm the coast. And zero people died of radiation, all people died due flooding and the evacuation. Yes more people die during the evacuation to save people from the reactors that never killed anyone.
      Chernobyl was a dangerous design pushed to the limits by incompetent bureaucrats. The other 3 reactors are still operational .
      More people died during the emergency response that actual casualties from the incident (which was barely 48 people directly despite the nonsense propaganda that was burned in the common folk mind by sensationalistic press).
      Coal energy kill thousands of people yearly. Coal burning releases radioactive isotopes into the atmosphere causing thyroid and lung cancer to nearby communities.
      Oil killed millions of people in explosions, toxic waste, accidents, caused millions of cases of cancer around the world.
      France has 80% of it's energy being produced by nuclear power... Germany closed it's nuclear plants, opened new coal burning plants and imports nuclear produced electricity from France and Poland...

    • @AhmadRaza-z7x

    • @Here_is_Waldo
      @Here_is_Waldo 2 місяці тому +3

      @@Andresen. Compared to how many oil spills and fires there have been, nuclear really doesn't have many accidents at all. Human error is unfortunately the biggest cause in any accident.

    • @Argentvs
      @Argentvs 2 місяці тому

      @@AhmadRaza-z7x That is propaganda. The amortized cost during the entire life cycle of a nuclear plant is lower than all other energy production methods.
      Nuclear cost a lot to build (until cheap streamline mass produced 4gen small module reactors enter the game) but the massive electrical production on it's lifespan has a very low cost which turns nuclear plants cheaper on the same period of times when you add the cost of all other methods.
      And nuclear plants can be refurbished and extended 30/50 years past their utility design.
      Wind turbines are very expensive too, they required thousands of times the engineering works of a nuclear power plant to achieve the size to produce the same energy than the later. The wind turbines require thousands of tons of reinforced concrete under massive ground dig for their foundation. Thats a lot of concrete and steel production pollution.
      The blades are made of plastic fiber, with resins which are produced by very toxic methods.
      They have a short lifespan and must be constantly repaired until being decommissioned. Currently the older wind generators are being passed out and left abandoned. No to mention some of them kill endangered birds that use the same winds they are placed to take advantage off. Just now they are putting cameras to brake the blades if bird flocks are nearby.
      Solar energy has 20 years of life cycle, it's production is very expensive en terms of energy and to produce the panels they use large amounts of cyanide, arsenic and mercury, some of the worst and most lethal pollutants in use. Much of which end up in river streams and the trophic chain.<
      The giant surfaces solar and wind power need to produce the same amount of energy as a very limited and relatively small size nuclear plant is absurd.
      And recycling them is extremely expensive or impossible. Thus why the older ones are left abandoned.
      Plus spent nuclear fuel is so small in tonnage. Is very limited, lots of nuclear industry byproducts and waste is used in other industries and the new thorium and older breather reactors can reuse the spent nuclear fuel and turn it into more fuel for next generation reactors making nuclear fuel waste virtually zero.
      Nuclear waste in reality is a problem for the non nuclear items used in the industry, irradiated clothing, accessories, tools, containers, materials, robots. Earth itself is radioactive, we just need to bury them in very old stable geological formations or nearby subduction plates, so they get swallowed to the mantle.

      In this video, you have seen the dimensions of a mobile nuclear power plant. To make a Lada of this size... Of course, we are bad at the automotive industry, but still not that bad.

      @Silver_Prussian Місяць тому

      @Cougar4ik wtf do you mean by bad ? The russian automotive industry is doing great just cause your priority is in utility vehicles and not fancy expensive crap only the wealthy can buy doesnt mean your industry is in a bad position.
      Look at most western ones, they have killed off most of their beloved models, they make boring and expensive cars which in most cases are also super ugly.

      Nuclear Reactor produces alot of energy, but its downside is that it cannot be easily stopped and turned-on. It also makes sense to separate the engine that carries it around, and the reactor itself, so it can be moved without the nuclear reactor itself turned-on or have the fuel. Its mission is to be a self-propelled portable generator, not to be a nuclear tank.

    Other cheaper and safer power sources exist. Thuse no nuclear trains or flying aircraft carriers. The Roman idea of build a fort every 5 miles. Is a good idea. A better one is to tunnel under the artic ice sheet. This offers the advantage of insolated wind protection and eltric powered trains for cargo and troupers. underground reinforced living areas desined like vacuum tubes to keep contents in constrnt 70 degrees temperatures in the under ice sheet exploration community Cargo and troopers can travel on safety in eltric powered trains that lead back to a power plant. On the cost of Antarctica. With oil drilling and converting it to desile. To run generation plants on cost. Cheaper, safer is better. If anything like gold,or oil is discovered then pipes with outer vacuum tubes could be made to pump it back to the cost. Or gold trains.
