@@AncientApparatus I competed in a NZ quartet at the Pan Pacific Champs in Honolulu 98 The Gas House Gang were the guests...we took out the NZ champs which was awesome..but seeing those legends close up, the afterglow and whatnot was the main event...Dr Jim is a phenomenon
@@bobthegoat17 Haha no not really! I just know that any big barbershop fans would be listening for ringing 7 chords like that one! :) Also bragging that I can hear a Dom 7 chord really wouldn't be bragging very much haha, they're the most identifiable chord in all of western music. Sorry it came off that way! Tone doesn't quick come through in UA-cam comments 🤷♀
they did a calmer version if this (filmed in WDW I think) and that was good also but to do a different version is brilliant !!! better than hearing the same set every year sang the same way
God, I’m gonna miss this quartet. Thanks for everything, Crossroads.
Tricky baritone intervals and executed beautifully!
Man I was so scared for Fred when he started that post and by the end I felt like he could have gone another five minutes!
Yes. Sing, gentlemen!
Simply outstanding the blend you can hear every part without them dominating
And yet if they weren't there you would miss them
This AIC show had so many hits like this one
One of the best there has been....love these guys!!
And as I laughed at those passengers to Heaven..a great big..you know the rest..🙏
so much 'brilliance' and ring. Great vocal energy

It is an extreme pleasure to hear perfection.
MIND. BLOWN.

Fred Farrell! Wow!
Sweet song.. well done!
Man I can't believe he held that note for so long at the end!!
Very Cool!!!
Fred didnt need to belt that final B5 at the end..but what a performance!
@@SiFiClark Agreed, That's real talent!

I dont think theres a better quartet out there that this, buds. The balls these guys have lmao
Dang!
Okay so this song is all awesome but is nobody gonna pay attention to the crazy dominant7 at 1:22?? 😳 very wow
I feel like the only purpose of this comment is to show that you know what a dominant 7 is

Did Slamka lose weight??
I might be in the minority here, but I really don't like when their tenor posts. It always just sounds like yelling to me.
Sometimes its strays flat and comes out way too forced, but I thought he nailed this post, locks very nicely on the last chord
I agree, it does not sound healthy
@@trips644 Na he's needlessly belting his final B5..hes got the goods to not do that.
@@jeremyrodrigues2751 just let emotion in perhaps and certainly lost quality through belting the arrival of his final B5..
