hi guys, thanks for making these video's it's really helping me out going through the process of getting my first kitchen, i have a question that i wouldn't mind a answer too, i've decided pretty much on a company to use for my kitchen going on quality, customer reviews & style, but would you advise going round to other companies purely for there kitchen design knowing that you won't use them, hope that make sense, keep up with great videos

Hi Paul. Good question and I fully understand why you are asking it. However, you say you have decided where you are buying your kitchen from, but I presume you are not completely happy with the design they have done for you, obviously, otherwise you wouldn't be asking this question. Which seems a little strange as one of the main deciding factors, when deciding who to go with, is the design they have produced for you. I would ask if they are the right people to place your order with if they can't design something you like.
There is nothing stopping you visiting other studios and getting further design input. But I would say, if you find that somebody comes up with a better design and they tick other boxes, such as, quality and cost, then consider changing your mind about where to place your order.
A quality design is a sign of a quality company and an inferior design a sign of an inferior company.

@@TheKitchenDesignExperts, thanks for the reply, the place i'm most keen on using is a online self design instead of sitting down with someone to design it for you, this is why i said about going around to get a few professional designs and submitting the best one, hope that makes sense

Now I understand. Yes, you really don’t have much choice. But, I understand the time it can take to prepare a full design with visuals and costings, so if I were you I would come clean. If somebody came in to me and said they just wanted a design, no costings no visuals just a plan , how much would you charge. I would work out a reasonable cost. That way you keep a clear conscience and everybody wins. Obviously some companies will say no but I’m sure someone would do it for you.

Hello. My hob is in the back wall of the kitchen and the cooker hood is integrated in the cupboards. What will be the minimum distance between hob and this hood? Thanks.

Hi, typically, if you have an electric hob of any type the hood should be 700mm above if it is a gas hob use 750mm
