- Our brand new New Holland CR9.80 harvesters with 10.6m (35ft) headers. This is our second day out with both machines and so far they are doing an excellent job - we are thrilled with them.
In this video we are harvesting our biggest field on The Estate. The field is called Huggate Heads and it is 145 acres in size. The crop is winter barley and the variety is Craft.
The tractor leading the barley away is a New Holland T7.315HD. It is kindly with us on demo from Websters, who supplied us with our new combines.
It has been a long time since we've posted a new video to our UA-cam channel and we can only apologise for this. What you are seeing here is just the start of many more videos to come!
Warter Priory is a world class farming operation set in the heart of East Yorkshire amidst 12,000 acres. At Warter, we pride ourselves on our reputation for quality and efficient farming. The main crops we focus on growing are wheat, barley and oilseed rape. We also grow peas in partnership with Birds Eye and some of our land is used for growing potatoes.

Brilliant video and glad to have you back posting them! Interesting how NH make a single reel on their 35ft headers and Claas go for a split reel. What was the main reason you switched up your combine manufacturer? Crazy amount of bales from this field too!! Look forward to more videos!

Why did you go with new Holland rather the. Stay with claas?
We spent a few years trying the machines that the different manufacturers had to offer and we felt like the New Holland was the best fit for us. Websters put together an excellent deal for us and we are very happy with our purchase. The Claas machines are absolutely incredible as well and it was a very tough decision to leave their brand, especially with all the support they have shown us over the years. Who knows, our next ones may be Claas again... we will see when it comes time to change again.

But the T7 HD is the same as the Optum right? Or is the terminal/ controls different?
You are currently running 8000 Fastracs, Case Optums and Pumas right?
They are a little different to the Optum. Correct, we run Optum, Puma and Fastrac

What was the thinking of changing from fendt tractors? Price?

What is barley straw used for? in my area (north west ohio) we dont grow barley. usually wheat straw is used for bedding and oat straw is mixed into cattle feed.
It is also used for bedding

We've changed our Fendt tractors for Case and JCB. The New Holland featured in this video is on demo from Websters.
