It would probably work in America, but not where I'm from where graduation clothes are loaned to you (no charges or low fee for cleaning depending on the Uni) and you have to return it. Better to have low costs in the long run.
Same here and different college and department of a uni would have a different version of clothing too. But I guess the hats are probably the same so u can just get one urself in somewhere else. I think I might do this next year in my graduation but not on the ceremony, maybe only for the photos.
It would be cool if with the third one, you added one last clipper on top, and after the ceremony, took one of all of you and your friends together in gowns and caps, and then once it came out, hung it on.
I just graduated high school and our principal said if we showed up with our caps painted they would take them and then we’d look stupid without a hat.
I know this one person who put a QR code on her hat and if you scanned it it read "Goodbye [Insert School Name Here]"
It was honestly pretty cool.

Nah, those cost a bunch of moolah (a whole lot more than the fees). For 1 occasion, its not worth it.
