Aiba Kotoko, third year student of the affiliated high school of Tonan University, was always in the lowest F class. However, she has been in love alone with Irie Naoki, who is a handsome student in the A class with an IQ of 200. After she decides to ask him out, she sends him a love letter but is rejected by him immediately. She is very hurt by this incident, but what is even worse is that a meteorite hits the house that she and her father newly moved into. After losing their new home, Kotoko and her father decide to stay a while at his friend’s place..which turns out to be the house of Irie Naoki! A love story of Naoki, a cold and irritable person with an IQ of 200, and Kotoko, an always bright and cheerful person. What will happen next?

Yes. She is just not aware of it happening. At the first episode her friends mentioned that he hates girls and there's no single rumor about his love life. But as he got involved with her , he began to get interested in her than any other woman who wanted his heart. It's just like what his mom says that she fell in love with naoki's father. She is hardworking , always gives her best , and was very loving. She loves not his lineage , young age , status , or looks . She just loves him for who he is. Without sugar coating and without any secrets. Naoki said his love for her became a habit. Because he was used to hearing her says she loves him. that when she said she'll give up on him he got really mad instead of being relieved as what he initially thought he would feel

Because of him he tries to open up on things and he also for once had a dream for himself. He became a man because of her. That's why he said he needs her. And his need for her became a habit.

Probably at the first sight when kotoko confessed to him he already have special feeling to this girl but he feel impossible. Thats why eariler he tried to ran away and give himself a long time to think and figure out. But we can see how he treated kotoko is different to others too😊 He was very gentle too just bad at mouth😂
Now I understand, in this episode Kotoko always the one that sends off Naoki to whatever he does. But in season 2, Naoki sends off his wife to her exam place and he always accompany Kotoko whenever she’s outside. Really Naoki. ❤️

Naoki walked slowly so that he can check if kotoko really was sick and ask many times showing concern, brought her to the hospital and lastly looking for valentine chocolate. This means that he really by this time likes Kotoko.
But he denied the fact and his feel. But the people around Naoki always know he aim to Kotoko.
When Irie-kun said that he was sick and that everyone start to panick.I couldn’t help but laughed my ass to death😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣and when she gave him the wrong medicine!!
But it's so cute right he didn't listen anyone but ate the medicine she bought for him intentionally or unintentionally 😂❤️
I realize she always thinks she's chasing Naoki and following Naoki, but he does most of the "following" in the end. He follows her to college, he shows up to tennis because he knows she'll go no matter what, he follows her to school during the summer, he impresses her with food when she was trying to impress him. Reminds of me of an expression my dad used to use about a woman we knew: "She chased him until he caught her." Here it's the opposite: He chased Kotoko and then Kotoko thought she caught him. 😂
EDIT: Well, maybe not most of the chasing, but a good half.
Fun fact: Kotoko is about 2 months older than Naoki.
Kotoko's birthday is September 28th whereas Naoki's is November 12th. Still......the actor playing Naoki is legit (almost) TEN YEARS OLDER than kotoko's actress.
IS THAT THE AGE DIFFERENCE?! I've been trying to find that out. In They Kiss Again it seemed they were born in the same day, but Xiang Qin says she's a Libra while Zhi Shu says he's a Scorpio.

That one morning that he saw her in the kitchen making coffee for him after he teaches her was his realization that he maybe kind of love her. I wasn't so sure at it at first because of his attitude on the later episodes of season 1 but I confirmed it when yuki was hospitalized and kotoko had to stay at naoki's apartment for the night. After he wakes up and realizes kotoko had left. He read a note thanking him for sharing his thoughts and for allowing her to sleep beside her given the circumstances. When he drank the coffee while overlooking the view outside of his apartment. His expression was the same as that when he first saw her making coffee at their kitchen. It's like he de stresses himself through kotoko's coffee. After it when he visited his brother in the hospital. He kissed her. So that means he really is in love with her.
I also think that naoki started to have feelings for kotoko when he drink the berg first coffee that kotoko made

The scene where the whole family got so shocked and panicked when Naoki coughed... That's so hilarious and funny at the same time 😂
I think this episode is the start of Naoki falling in love with Kotoko even he still being denial. He might said that he didn't really want a chocolate from Kotoko, but instead, he was looking for it. When he finnally found it, he ate it and stared at the chocolate emotionally. I wasn't sure about that until i see his reaction whenever Kinnosuke hanging around Kotoko on the day after he ate Kotoko's chocolate (on the next episode), i assume that he's already in love with her.

More like considering than denial.. Maybe, Naoki started thinking about her, since he read the love letter.. That's why, when Kin-chan asked him to stay away from Kotoko at Irie's family dinner.. He didn't want to promise that..

@@yeana.r.h. Yeah, the emotions he felt towards her too. It was all new for him, he felt strange and frustrated so he ended up being harsh to her.
He started liking her in episode 3. He went to tennis practice even though there’s no requirement for him to and I think it was too be near her cuz he knew she’d be in school. When he noticed her on the tracks, he made a way to talk to her by aiming for her. Since he’s suppose to be this godly tennis player, we can assume that he aimed for her to strike up a conversation. He finds it fun to tease her. So I think it definitely started in episode 3. And as people mentioned, he definitely did not want to completely reject the idea of him and Kotoko being together.
FL is a brilliant actress...! She fit kotoko's part like second skin. She is so pretty with a funny hilarious side... without appearing going overboard she had me laughing my guts out in the previous episodes.!
Watching this series makes me forget about all my worries...GOD bless whoever made this series❤☺😀

And all God wants us to do is change our minds about sin & turn away from sin and PUT OUR TRUST IN JESUS & only in Jesus.

Well, this drama was made earlier 2014 - 2015 if im not earlier, and he married just recently. Anyway hes older than her for like 10 yrs upon filming. Its cool that hes looking so young compare to his age and effortlesly acting the cool and formal vibe character. Fan here

It's been years, and I keep coming back to this series, and one of the most important things is Naoki and Kotoko. Both of them have a different way of expressing their love . I remember when I saw this drama for the very first time, and I got upset by the gesture of Naoki, but later, in S2, the way he was there for her every time . His way of expressing was different love, and her way of expressing was different, bit together, they both fell for each other harder every single time . I love them so much .
Him returning from somewhere because he cannot focus and is still worrying for Kotoko so he didn't take the exam on purpose. He can just leave her behind but still stay and say that he just got hungry so he ate but deep inside he's just so much into her. He's inlove na in this episode.🥰
all she did was melt the chocolate and put it in a heart-shaped mould. how is it awful?
sometimes if you heat up chocolate too much, it will become pretty grainy and it’s taste sort of weird. maybe she burnt the chocolate :)

I can't count how many times i rewatched this drama. I like how Kotoko like Naoki purely and wish for his best. I mean, thats the true love do, right? Wants to see our beloved ones become their better version of themself. Kotoko true love Naoki, not just because his handsome looks. To be able to do those things, Kotoko surely the best woman you can ever get. (Yeah maybe except those second hand embarassment things🤣🤣🤣)
And this series made my standard high. I want to be my own version of Kotoko for my future pair. And i hope my partner in the future is just like Kotoko, not like Naoki🤭

I was 16 when I watched this, Mischievous Kiss Love In Tokyo. It's really great series that it would make you coming back, I'm 21 now and yet this would never get out of style, Era no matter what. And also I also love the way Kotoko never gives up on Naoki little did she know that he's been falling in love but he doesn't realized it yet.
After watching this drama for the 4th or 5th time, I just realized that Naoki in Season 1 was more talkative, just like other normal human beings, compared to him in Season 2. He was meanest here, but at least he talked a lot more.

Aarh, that painfully reminded me at my final exams, more precisely my english Abitur. I didn‘t even had a Bad luck charm but that day I was so sick, I had to vomit in my schools wash room before participating in it. A friend of mine gave me some medication, but like him I almost fell asleep because of it. It didn‘t help anyway but somehow I finished the exam. Than, as if the day wasn‘t already horrible enough, my train got stuck for about an hour and I was trapped in this hot crowded Train and almost collapsed. Thank god this was on my way back home and at least I didn‘t fell down some stairs as well.

Fate and bad luck depends on perspective, and really she brought him good luck as in what he needed (a chance to rethink his life and be ok with the unknown excitement that she brings )
