Hey Parnell!! I am definitely dubbing you the KING of KOBBLERS!! Hehehe. You always come up with the yummiest ones!! I know I would just love this as I am a pineapple nut!! And with 3 ingredients you just can't beat it! Love the crusty part on top!
Hi, Parnell👋I love the dump cakes! They are so easy and delicious😋 I think other flavors of cake mix would be good in this, especially the spice. You do the most precise job with placing the butter that I have ever seen. I wish I had the patience! Lol I like the idea of grated the frozen butter! That looks so good with the crispy top. I think draining the juice was a good call. Yummy! Great job, my friend! Hope your summer is going well😊💛
Thank you very much! It does take a bit of time, but I think it makes the dump cake turn out a bit better. Sometimes a bit of extra effort is worth it 🍍🧈
@@ParnellTheChef Oh, I can tell you, it made a big difference, I’ve made many dump cakes in my life and none of them turned out as pretty and so evenly browned as yours! ❤️
Hi Chef Parnell, Look at how delicious this cake came out. I like the look of a little crispness. And I enjoy pineapple a favorite of mine. Your dump cakes are scrumptious so if you say this was better than I’m definitely going to make it. What do you think of pineapple cake mix. I have a box. Maybe it might be too much. I rather not experiment and follow your recipe first. Btw, I’ll be making the Rice Krispie recipe with PB chocolate chips this weekend. Had a busy one last week. This is a terrific dessert to make ….pretty quick and yummy. I think the hardest part will be cutting up the butter.😊😊 Thanks a million. Awesome recipe. Great tip with lemon juice which I use in past recipes to bring out fruit flavors etc. Have a wonderful n blessed week.
Hi, Kathy! If you like pineapple desserts, you'll like this. I have to be honest--I've never tried pineapple cake mix, so I can't comment. My gut tells me it might be too much of a good thing, like you said, but I'm not quite sure. And yes, the butter is the hardest part and the lemon juice is the secret ingredient. I'm excited to hear how your rice krispie treats turn out! Thanks for watching and commenting!🍍🍋🍰🧈
That's a good questions. Personally, I wouldn't put just a layer of brown sugar on the bottom. If you're thinking of pineapple upside down cake, I think most recipes call for a layer of both butter and brown sugar on the bottom, so I think that if you just put sugar on the bottom of this, you might end up with literally just sugar, not the caramelized brown sugar you're probably used to on upside down cake. However, I think that mixing 1/4 cup light brown sugar into the pineapple, or sprinkling it on top, would be delicious. If you make this recipe with a layer of brown sugar, with or without extra butter, let me know how it turns out! 😎🍍
That's a good question. I think it could work--but you'd have to be very careful about not slicing it too thick so that you could still get total coverage of the top. If you slice the butter the long way when you make your dump cake, let me know how it turns out! 🍍🧈
Just a hint slice cold butter before leave in refrigerator. Also I have made so many Bundt cakes and always add pineapple with juices hence it is called dump cake just dump everything in one pan. I have also used pineapple cake mix if you are a pineapple level As noted not adding liquid may make it crisper but dryer the purpose of a dump cake is a moist cake
I made this for the first time today following another slightly different recipe - 2 cans of crushed pineapple (don't drain), strawberry cake mix, one can of sweet condensed milk, 1 cup of melted butter + extra pats for any "dry spots". Bake at 350 for 45 minutes... I followed the video exactly & my oven is running properly but the cake came out a goopy uncooked mess. I ended up baking it for an additional 15 minutes & the top got too dark, almost burnt even though I covered it to help cut down on the over browning - UGH! What a waste of food & time! Your version turned out so much nicer. I am going to follow your recipe from now on and omit the sweet condensed milk & the extra pats of butter.
Hi! I'm so sorry to hear that the other recipe didn't turn out well. Although it sounds like it has potential, it sounds like that version has too much liquid (sweetened condensed milk and too much butter). If you make mine, I don't think you'll have the same problem again. Let me know how it turns out! 🍍🍋👨🍳
Good question! I thought that the liquid would make the top soggy and not as brown. I made a similar dump cake recently--I only drained one can--and it turned out great. So, if I were to make this again, I would recommend draining 1 can of crushed pineapple but using the juice from the other. Let me know if you give this a try 🍍

I like a brown, crispy top with a drier filling too. It looks perfect to me, Parnell. Thanks for sharing!
I made two of these tonight! Turned out perfectly.
Awesome! I'm sure they tasted delicious 🍍🍋🧈
🤤💯

Hi Parnell, this is a delicious and easy recipe. I love pineapples! You did an amazing job!
Good flavor❤
Thank you very much! 🍍👨🍳
Love the way you put the patties of butter all over the cake instead of melting the butter and drizzling over the cake mix! Beautiful!

Wow super tasty 😋
What about a 4th ingredient...
Brown sugar in the pan before the pineapple layer???
Serve with coconut sorbet?

Yes, you definitely can. I'll have to try that next time 👨🍳😀
It did come out perfect yay
Thank you! 👨🍳
It looks very appetizing as per usual 😋 thanks chef
Thanks for watching and commenting, Franke! Let me know if you give this a try 🍍🍋🧈
Excellent thanks 👍
You're welcome! 👍
I wonder will it work if you slice your butter the long way. It would be faster.

What size pan did you use?
Hi! 9x13 inches (about 23 x 33 cm) 👨🍳
I'm with you I'd rather have a crispy top

It was actually 4 ingredients but looks delish!
My mom calls this cake Pineapple Crumb Cake
I think that name would work very well for this! 🍍🍰
Yea faster!
😀😎
Iam making this right now with the strawberry 🍓 cake mix when let u know the results in an Hour 😂
I could definitely see strawberry cake mix being good in this recipe. Let me know how it turns out! 👨🍳😀
Why didn’t you use the juice

He sounds like a robot
Shouldn't take 13 minutes to dump things in.😂😮
Yea I’m no fan of pineapple. 🍍
Use a different fruit, cherries, peaches, blackberries… whatever you like.
I know you don't like pineapple, so thank you for still watching and commenting. I appreciate the support 😀😎
Exactly! I've made a lot of dump cakes, and they're all good!👨🍳😎
Your using 4 ingredients, not 3 ingredients. You need to change the title.
Karen he said the forth ingredient is optional. 😂
