John was fantastic with LRB and he gained so much experience. He said his LRB time grew him up. Love our John and his performances - he is the best ♥️🤗🎉
I love this one too, Carole. John sounds amazing, as does the whole band. You can't tie John down when he is performing, he usually needs the whole stage. His energy demands it. Taping his mike cord down to keep him in one spot is not going to work. I know John's time with LRB was not a happy place for him but they did produce some incredible music.
Happy New Year Carol. 💞 Actually, I think that is how it should have been promoted... John Farnham and Little River Band (such as Bob Marley & The Wailers, Bill Haley & The Comets), or as you said LRB featuring John Farnham. With John's background career at that point, never really saw how he could just be another bandmember, although we all know he tried. John was already an established artist at that time with multiple hits and 5 consecutive years as Australia's King of Pop. It's a bit like putting Lionel Richie back in the Commodores but only billing it as the Commodores, or Dianna Ross only being one of the Supremes, Michael Jackson only billed as one of the Jackson 5, the difference is that each of those soloists started as "bandmembers" before going Solo. Glen Shorrock was "the" lead singer of LRB, he never had a No. 1 in his solo career but returned to LRB in 1988, however, John's solo career took off again after leaving LRB, he is the only Australian artist to have a number-one record (album or single) in five consecutive decades.
Another great performance from John, Thankyou,
Yes ty John
