@@CosmicSponge2004 I tried the Nicktoons game on my Leapster Explorer and couldn't get myself focused enough to want to beat the first level. The game is an extremely basic 2D platformer with insanely stiff controls and an awful framerate of about 2.5fps.
I can tell the devs tried though. The system they were working with had some terrible software limitations like the "curriculum wheel" that was coded into the OS and used in almost every game.
I hated that screen for the longest time up until I got a special cartridge that lets me delete the needs_repair flag. The OS is insanely buggy... Any time it detects an error, a needs_repair flag gets created in /flags/ on the root of the device.
I never had a didj but i had a leapster 2 and (to me) this system is slightly better because of how (unfortunately) obscure the system is as well as it's games. I don't know why this system failed like the concept is genius.
Unfortunately for me, both my childhood didj and my current didj fell victim to the "your didj needs a tune up" bug. Fortunately, I'm getting a leapster explorer here in the next 3 days and I can play my didj games on it.
Oh the tune up thing? I think I know how to fix this issue, i think you use DD and rewrite the kernel and rootfs to their partitions (Not tedted I do not have a didj)
There is a way to fix it, but it's difficult. you need a virtual machine with windows 7, a clean copy of the didj version of leapfrog connect, and your didj and a piece of software designed to grant access to the didj firmware and storage.
So basically I uploaded kernel.bin and erootfs to internet archive. So you mount the didj and I think go to the partitions where kernel.bin and erootfs.jffs2 go and use dd
I'll be trying to get all of the music besides Star Wars/Indiana Jones/Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Those last 3 just use music from the films/cartoons themselves which will get me a copyright srtrike if uploaded.
I'll get NickToons, NeoPets, DLC music from NickToons (that game only has 4 songs in the base game from what I've played and the micromods I got off of the LeapFrog servers reference "new music" but don't contain the said music)
For Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, just put "No copyright infringement intended." Maybe that'll prevent you from copyright strikes. Sorry to interrupt.

It means the system ran into an error and that the error needs to be fixed
