I had no idea you guys had a new album coming out sometime this year. I bought Gentleman when it was originally released and had no idea who you guys were i just bought it on a whim. Gentleman was one of the albums that really started to expand my musical tastes and opened me up to a different world of music when i was 15 in 93. I still have the album to this day.
I love Gentleman and it was always among the few from the early-mid 90s that I still played regularly. I’m using the past tense, because I love it so much it makes me want to drink, especially when Greg emphatically states “I’ll take whatever you got!” And I can’t do that anymore.
Brilliant. My father turned me on to Afghan Whigs/Twilight Singers fan as it was before my time. For the first time in a while I feel the same the intensity, swagger, and heart that the rushed through me with some of there older music.
I can't understand why this song doesn't have more views and likes. Absolutely the best song of this genre in a very, very long time, and it joins all my favorite AW songs of all time.
I saw you play in SLC in the early 90's at a club called DV8. I had a blast dancing the entire show up in front of the stage. My roommate swapped T-shirts they were wearing with Dulli after the show. Dulli asked me my name and when I said Dimitra he asked me if I was Greek and I said yes and he said he had some progenitor of his that was Greek.
Brilliant new song. I can't wait to listen to the new album, not least because there are two tracks on it that feature one of my all time favorites Mark Lanegan, who sadly passed away this year. God bless him and the Whigs.
I don't know what to say other than I love it!!! I have the impression of falling on a rock that suits me, a sound that carries me away, filled with strong and true emotion. We broadcast the song on our independent radio station
I don't know man... The last 2 Whigs album were among their best. Great songs, great band, great production. Everything was in place. This sounds like something Greg farted out with a drum machine and synthesizer during Covid. Sure, it's good. It's Greg Dulli. If this was an outtake from the solo record I would not complain. I dont think this sounds like The Afghan Whigs however.
I like it *because* it doesn’t sound like a typical Whigs song. To me, the fact that a guy in his late 50’s is still exploring and growing and taking musical risks is exciting. I respect your opinion, but I dug it.
My first thought. Very similar verse. But there are so many songs made so there’s impossible to avoid similarities. Anyway, this is a great tune from Whigs
Dulli's voice - or whatever's left of it - is buried deeper and deeper under a layer of synths. Sorry guys, this song is dull as dishwater. Where's the edginess, the sharpness, the excitement? :o(
A glorious thing to wake up to.
Jeez, the song as smoking hot as the heatwave outside!
And another gem! Dulli simply can’t write bad songs... looking so much forward to the full album
Plan to buy because I’ve gotten all of them so far dude, I have!!!!!!!!!!
First listen, right off the batt… this song has all the layers of a classic Whigs song…so Tight
Greg Dulli may be the best living songwriter from that grunge scene of the 90s.
Forget the word "grunge".
Greg Dulli is one of the greatest songwriters of your lifetime.
Period.

In my humble opinion, it is a powerhouse of an album. Something I still listen to regularly.
@@clifffield1 i agree and i still listen to it on occasion as well.
That album is a masterpiece

Same story here, internet homie.
My dad was the one who introduced me to Afghan Whigs & the genius of Greg Dulli. Haven't looked back since!
Time only improves the Whig's talent. Dulli is a musical Bukowski.
Bukowski is a tasteless incel, while Dulli plays in the same league as Leonard Cohen, Marvin Gaye, Dylan and others pop icons, cmon man
The Whigs yesterday, today and forever. Always amazing!
Dulli Deserved Desire! Truly the best in my lifetime.
Greg songwriting is simply unbelievable ….. what a band!
Had an amazing night with the Whigs in Brighton last night. New tracks went down so well. Can’t wait for the whole album to come out.
Cincinnati feckin' loves y'all! 👍
So nice to have the Whigs back. Thank you!
Great, great tune... honestly can't wait for the album, the 3 songs released from it until now are so so good
I can't understand why this song doesn't have more views and likes. Absolutely the best song of this genre in a very, very long time, and it joins all my favorite AW songs of all time.
Badass. Perfect
recently became a new Greg dulli fan within the last year. dulli should be up there with Damon Albarn- Pharrell - Kurt Cobain Etc. Dude's a legend.
It’s so awesome that he’s back with a new set of songs so soon after his solo album. Like clockwork, a new album to savor every 2-3 years.
Nice tune. Thank the algorithm for recommending it to me
Excellent stuff, as always

Hooray for Mr. Christopher Thorn!
I Will search anda destry every dont like yo this song
Dynamite.
As long as the AW exist. We are still alive.
Oasis - Who feels love?
My first thought. Very similar verse. But there are so many songs made so there’s impossible to avoid similarities.
Anyway, this is a great tune from Whigs
@@TheEdford no. There are artists who aren't able to be unique.
What is this???
Kind of sounds like oasis
Great music, but without Rick McCollum the Whigs are like the Beatles without Lennon. They should rename themselves.
I don't know. I saw them during their reunion tour in 2012. There was a reason Dave Rosser was there as a third guitarist.
Stealing the riff from Gary Numan "Random", not the first time someone ripped of Gazza though
Wheel chair ramp tour up next?

Yeah, well, you know, that’s just like, your opinion, man.
You may not like that and that's okay. I think the song title offers enough explanation for the sound. I enjoy it as it is.
