    Dzięki za filmik. Mojemu synowi przestały działać 4 kalwisze (2, F1,F2, i spacja) myślałem, że da się wyczyścić, a tu niezła akcja sie szykuje.

    Hello, this also applies to ASUS vivobook A515E correct? Looks very much the same but mine hasn't got backlighting feature? I bought it in Vietnam.

    it worked thank you! However, I have removed the conducting paste on the motherboard without putting new one. Do you think I should reopen it just to add some? I use the computer moderately. Thank again!

      Regarding your question, if you remove the thermal paste of the CPU and cleaned it from heatsink, i would highly recommend it to repaste it, but if you didn't clean it and your laptop is not shutting down out suddenly, then you fine.

    Is it possible to clean the keyboard while on the computer? I spilled coffee and some of the left side keys are sticky

      🫠Regarding your question, power off the laptop and use a soft toothbrush with 98% isopropyl alcohol. Spray the alcohol on the key and use the brush to get underneath and clean.

      🫠Regarding your question, you can't change the CPU or the GPU they are soldered on board. and the ram can be upgraded and you can place a 16gb stick if you wish, here is the video:

    Can I install a keyboard with US layout in a machine with another Layout? Let's say I want to replace my Japanese layout to the US one.

    Is there any possibility to unplug the keyboard but still being able to turn it on?
    I have ghost typing issues hence my question.

      🫠 Regarding your question, yes, you can turn the laptop on without the keyboard, but it won't be an easy task and it won't be done from the outside. You will need to short the ground on the motherboard to one of the pins at the keyboard connector, usually the third from the left. However, I must emphasize that this is not something you should do regularly. I would recommend purchasing a replacement keyboard from Amazon (link provided in the description) or finding a cheaper option on AliExpress.

      @@uFixTek I have Asus Vivobook MG1603Q ; i heard that it should be ok to do if there are other models that do have the backlit keyboard in that same generation. Is there nothing we can do or add to fix this? Personally I think its absolutely crazy that I purchased a laptop made for gaming and there is no backlit keyboard, because who games in a well lit room? haha
      please let me know anything i can do to upgrade the keys to have a backlight

      Regarding your question, Sure, you can do it. Just take your time to peel off the old backlight from the keyboard. Rip it off at a 45-degree angle, being careful not to pull too forcefully.

    If I’m unable to remove the old backlight without destroying it, can I install the keyboard without the backlight ? Would it still work correctly without it? What does the backlight even do?

      if you purchase the keyboard and take it to the repair shop, they should not charger no more than 35USD for installing it. anything over that is expensive, because you giving them the keyboard they are not selling it.
