Donn great guy I bought a Tama Artstar 8x14 Cordia snare from him in 2000.Got the kit 13,14, toms 18 Ft and 24 bass drum in 1996 and now have every size in the snares, toms F toms and bass drums except 6'' and 8'' toms.
@@darellbell605 Tico’s endorsements of yesteryear. Personally I’m a system guy and would take the Joey Jordison (RIP) approach to setup. Because it’s Pearl, I would prefer the Pearl ICON Rack system to go along with their drums.
I'm right handed but had my kit set up backwards like this kit and Jon Dette. For some reason I played goal in hockey and play drums as left handed and footed, as a skater in hockey I shoot right handed, I even use my computer mouse in my left hand, but everything else I'm right handed. I can play on a regular set-up but I'm more comfortable as a lefty, I have no idea why.
I had Paiste 2002s, the best cymbals ever made, also because Alex Van Halen used them. My kit was Tama, Dave Lombardo and Nicko McBrain used them, they also used Paiste cymbals, all my favourite drummers use Paiste. I don't plan it that way, they just do. Eloy Casagrande, Aquiles Priester and Luanna Dametto all use Paiste too, and you just gotta love that Brazilian metal drumming, Luanna's blast beats are amazing!!
Noticed the hi-hat is on the wrong side so must be set up that way for when Ian Paice drops in 😉 Nice kit and never been much of a fan of the big hair bands but Tico always sounded like he could really play unlike some of the others’ who spent more time on stick twirling.
@@ochocabra1542 Ty my friend, says this drummer. Mind you,I've seen Bon Jovi many times, and enjoyedthe shows, but his kit sound doesn't do it for me. Just saying is all.
That kit can be made of gold and it means nothing if the drummer can't even keep time, which is the case of Tico. One of the worst time keepers in drumming.
Awesome! I met Tico when i was younger at Loria Music in Rahway NJ through my old drum teacher Russ Moy rip. Joe Loria rip

@@MarkBrydondrums85 I feel MORE COMFORTABLE with Pearl. I have three Pearl drumsets
He was using DW Hardware even before switching to DW Drums.
@@AJLeonardo84 I am going to get DW hardware for my Pearl set DW 9000 Hardware package

Wow! I remember seeing that kit. Amazing.
Wow, the free floating design came from CB-700?! Cool (my first kit was a CB-700)!
I had no idea about that as well. CB-700s were mainly entry level kits, but those snares were really innovative at the time.
I’d love to see a review of Ticos gold “hitman” kit from the New Jersey syndicate tour
That kit still looks and sounds great after all of those tours. I didn’t know Tico got the kit just after Runaway broke.
The old wrap that was replaced was probably pretty well beat up.
Superb video and nice playing too.
Well I went to the Bad Medicine video and it was a black Pearl kit with different lugs lol
Well that’s because “Bad Medicine” is off of the album “New Jersey.”
It is in the 'you give love a bad name ' video and quite a few live tour concert video on youtube from those years
You go Chris
Sounds great!

Got an old export in the same sizes, has the full length lugs with the chrome metal wrap, still sounds great
Sounding great!
Awesome more more🤟🏻👏👏👏🥁🥁🥁🇨🇦
Nice ring off the toms in the end
I need to put my sets in Don,s drum vault
😎👍DONN! Really bummed we didn't get to meet in May!
I am getting my Pearl sets ENLARGED 2 18x22 bass drums, 2 11x12 Tom's Tom's 12 12x13 Tom's 2 16x16 floors ALL my Pearl sets
Voglio quel rullante a tutti i costi..!!
I enjoyed!!!
Is the new drum vault at Bennet drum shop in Bellevue?
What are the chances that those jackets would fit you so well?
Awesome!
I had my pearl set done in RED
Displaying Tico's kit, yet it's set up left handed, where Tico is right handed. Just weird.

The whole kit is setup for a left-handed drummer.
You are right!
Cheers Donn
Wow, i recognize it from the runaway vid but can’t believe it’s maple???! It looks like a cheap export lol
Those cymbals sound like pouring water on a hot frying pan lol
yup. they're the real stars of this video. the drums bored me.
@@ocho611 I hear ya... I had a Black Double Bass Pearl Export kit,but Tico's tunings do nothing for me.... No bounce at all.

Why is it set up lefty? Tico is a right handed player, right?
The set is set up Left handed for the left handed drummer Chris Hankins who demoed them in the video.
Mine is Red Color.
Why is it set up backwards? He plays right_handed!
the hoops are made in japan....
Why is it setup left handed?
Because the drummer who demoed them in the video (the amazing Chris Hankins) is left handed.
How is it “very easy” to set up both right and left handed while keeping the badges facing the front? Am I missing something?
Its backwards lol
Bad Medicine video. Tico played on a black pearl set. I,ve seen the video
He never plays anything dbl bass

Camera isn't backwards but I thought he is a right hand drummer and that kit is a left hand.
