That “baptism tray” is modeled after the Manhattan Bridge. It’s even the same blue color.
It always sounds strange when Trogly says "it looks like someone has been playing this guitar, it's got to go" 😁
Motorcycle (or motorcycle-styled) jackets have longer sleeves so that when you are riding and your arms are extended, the sleeves still cover your wrists.
Agreed. The jacket fits the way it is supposed to which means the sleeves are the correct length when you extend your arms out in front of you. Great when you are on your motorcycle, super frustrating when you reach for a coffee cup and dump it over. :(
I got a bong full of holy water.
Those Les Paul Sr.'s are pretty cool guitars. Would be nice to see them made more often
The motorcycle jacket sleeves are supposed to be longer than a dress coat’s. It’s so they don’t pull back short when your reaching out for the handle bars on your motorcycle.
MC leather jackets like that were $34.00 back on delancy st in NYC,way before Slash ,he was about 6 then🙄
The sleaves are motorcycle cut. If you put your hands strait forward they come up to correct length.🤘🏴☠️🎸
That Paul SR and that custom Strat are fantastic specimens. I would have been very reluctant to let those go. Hope they found good owners.
Trogly's a curator more than anything else; solidbody electric guitars have always had a mystique to them that makes them art objects as well as work tools, and he selects interesting ones to show us. It's something like an auto museum having a never-used NYPD 1963 Chevy Police Interceptor or a mint 1946 Checker taxicab. The museum pieces are to be preserved and admired, and only occasionally and lightly played . For the gig, there are lots of production pieces and reissues.
Yes
@@Gordon-ss9ss My brother in Christ he is curating a museum. You sound bitter for no reason
Someone that gets it. You don't hear someone whining, "You bought Elvis' gold Cadillac and don't drive it to work?!?!"
Why would anyone need to ask why you prefer to collect clean examples of guitars? Seems rather obvious.
Which is probably why he has to, a lot of people are missing this thing you and I refer to as "common sense".😉
I mean, as a collector Trogly obviously wants the best-looking guitars. If he was a player like Agufish (just look at his two Norlin-era LP Customs) he wouldn't mind dings, scratches, or non-original parts.
I think a lot of people just lack critical thinking nowadays.
Or.."derp..where do you get all this money??" As if he doesn't sell these guitars and do a UA-cam channel every day.
I collect records and comic books and guess what? I also prefer to purchase clean instead of busted. Call me crazy! 😂
Because people want guitars that look like they’ve been played hard, an aged without actually doing the work. I wouldn’t seek out a beat up guitar, but I know I definitely play the crap out of mine, and don’t care if it shows it’s age
0:26 Looking at the tone and volume controls and referring to the website, I think this is the 60's Les Paul standard exclusive purple burst. 🤔
Collecting the guitar because of protective film on the pickguard…that is a level of OCD I’ve never heard of
While I appreciate the efforts to try and collect mint examples, it is simultaneously sad to know those examples will likely end up just sitting untouched for potentially decades. Same with folks that buy limited run cars and park them in a garage with virtually no miles.
I low key loathe mint guitars. Nothing detracts more from a playing experience than having to constantly worry about the dead mint condition being tarnished trying to actually use the thing as intended. At that point, it is basically just art.
So many interviews of folks getting rid of 59’ Les Pauls and alike because they could never enjoy them fully due to the high risk of damage and or theft that could be financially crippling.
Trogly a tip I got from my luthier for my matte neck that can become glossy with play is to occasionally gently sand it back with 0000 grade sandpaper. Works well. Try a test area if you're not confident with it, but it'll bring back the matte without taking finish. Never tried it with unglossed necks though myself, just matte necks
Bucket head guitar needs to be built more
I love the stories behind the guitars!
There’s no such thing as a “clean” factory reliced guitar.
Wow, I've been watching your show for a couple of months now and somehow I was not subbed. That has been corrected! Thanks for showcasing the sweet gear, and for the sharing of all that knowledge! I respect fellas like you who have niche mastery of certain subjects and choose to share it with the world. Guys like you are a treasure to humanity, thank you!
That is a really snazzy Tele. Love that finish and the maple fretboard. Yummm Oh.
I collect dirty guitars. I’m gonna muck em up anyways because I play everything. Feels like I’m adopting an unloved puppy when I put some work into a neglected axe.
Seriously getting some CUBAN vibes from that first thing-a-majig...
Wow, that is such an awesome looking guitar. I absolutely LOVE that purple flame top. Gorgeous.
That big blue thing looks like it may have been some sort of disply item for cigars ar maybe a piece designed for a smoking room.I've got a bomber type biker jacket that has pretty much most of the same style of the jacket you have but it's a heavy piece of material made by Diamond Plate. It's a company that does bike wear and other items motorcycle related.
I love the reliced Joan Jet guitar. Very cool.
...Joan Jett.
Collectors are such a pain.
I love the Joan Jett guitars!! So nice!!!
I love that she got the attention and respect that goes along with getting your own signature model. She been cool since day one. 🙌
Buckethead is awesome
If the jacket was actually made to ride a motorcycle, then that would explain the longer arms
Why dont u just changee the pick guards on the Joan jet?
That senior is killer
I liked some of these collectables!
that Flying V is nuts!
I don’t smoke Drew Estate. I like Marcus Daniel Cigars out of Naples Florida.
I thought you preferred Bances there Sarge! 😉
1K in shipping for the "baptism tray"?? 😵💫😵💫😵💫
4:54 - Problems, problems, problems.
Anybody else point out that the cars are going backwards in your Sweetwater add?
I fast forwarded too quickly.
Do you know what kind of keyboard that is?
The soloution? Keep all 3.
That's a beautiful color 👏🤘👍
Drew Estate. Honkin Cigars brother.
Thanks for the Epi greeny Trogly's / Austin it arrived in excellent condition
that Purple Les Paul is nice........Trogly's guitar water?
What does it mean that that is a baptism tray?
I had a 2002 prs dragon, blue,it was such a pristine piece that I really did not want to touch it,sold it for a good buck, let the collector appreciate it hanging in a glass case in a wall
I love me a blue PRS! I have a lovely aged Custom 22 in Matteo Blue around that year that I'll never let go of.
That brand new purple burst Les Paul of Curtis' at the beginning of the episode is a beautiful guitar congratulations! Also liked the V and one pickup Les Paul senior custom you sold, awesome!
A humidor goes on the 2nd shelf, I have something similar only mine is a pipe cabinet. I don't understand yt's having a problem, but they also work in mysterious ways.
Is there a way to reestablish the stain finish? Always dislike seeing you sell bh studios, I think your on borrowed time to find clean ones.
Trogly in the future when you fart in a video you don’t have to announce it. We can’t smell it.
Where are you getting the Purple LP? I want one!! But in a 60’s neck. I looked on Gibsons site and I didn’t see them… Maybe I’m blind… Lol.

Hey there
Old Gibson guy, Really enjoy your content, Thank you Sir.
Yo
Oh no, are you a freight forwarder?
Mark Agnessi wears his Slash jacket everyday
Sup y’all 🤘🎸🤘
Ashtray.
"Pen mark" on the back of the neck....Trogs, you need some professional help! ;-) ;-)
Can't mention a cigar but you can talk about molesting guitars lol
👍
Hey!
Collector problems: "This thing has screws in it, can't be Mint!!" Haha I got a key board too, still boxed; major can of worms.
And the worst part of being G.A.S. -ed out, declining direct offers - something has to go. I wonder if Reverb has a "nope" list of those who decline, so won't get offers? Ü ♫
Man what was that person smoking ( Bug Spray ? ) who chopped up the RD Bass !?...The Purple LP should be called ' The Orchid ', I love that shade of purple ( more like violet ), I also liked the Blue Strat with the Gretsch type pickups , nice top ! Thanks Trogly !
Z is for late
Always awesome but this episode covered so much..very cool..thanks dude!
Boom
Goodbye Buckethead... see you soon !
I'm a priest, and those holy water trays are glorious! Peace be upon you, brother Trogly! Thank you for helping spread the good word across the globe.
I'm confused... Is this some 'misdirection' or 'code' that I'm not familiar with? The other item looked like an 'ash tray', are you not allowed to show ash trays in a UA-cam video? Or is it actually a 'baptism tray', and YT just doesn't like any religious associatons?
@@StreetPreacherr Just a hilarious euphemism to avoid any detection of tobacco or smoking promo by YT's sensitivity bots.
Tune in to WOWO Ft. Wayne on the way to Sweetwater & call in your opinion about construction of the new jail. Inmates must wear purple.
The 1st section you killed me with the narration overdubs, lol
Ngl, i giggled every time you went "Baptism Tray" 😂
Same! Gotta admit Trogs is pretty quick with wicked zingers sometimes. 😂
❤
Oh my god the YTP-style editing during the BAPTISM TRAY section had me rolling, great job editor!
I don’t like Joan Jett either.
Aw Trogly, get to that synthesizer soon. I realize this is a guitar show, but I'd love to hear and see what you do with that synthesizer.
Im all about baptism trays 😂. I always appreciate these types of episodes, since we get to see many different and sometimes weird things all in one. Loved the gorgeous '54 Senior! It was just a bit spendy
The Joan Jett Melody Maker is a perfect argument for why I don't like relic'd guitars: It's supposed to look like it's been played, and my favorite collector (Trogly, of course!) is combing through these looking for a neck that doesn't look like it's been played!😅 Love the shows, carry on 😊
And to call raw finished guitars relic'd is a tad redundant. Just being in the case will take that thin white finish off. A $500 guitar at best and Epiphone level people pay crazy money for.
That Sr. Is the top dog for me. If ever I had the disposable income, that’s my dream Les Paul. In Purple, yeah.
XL is one of the most popular sizes? Lots of fat Slash fans!
Nah, just for people much taller than him.
@@cataclysmicconverter what height is Trogly? He doesn't seem like a midget to me either, though.
Trogly did you see that silverburst baritone Gretsch Custom Shop over at CME? It had your name written all over it! ❤❤❤
He loves Gretsch! 😂
Lol. Some bogan's buying Jimmy Hetfield's *BAPTISM TRAY*.
You should get that jacket tailored. It looks good!
Or just one in his size 😅
✌️
Mr. Trogly did you send Pete from Anderton’s taunting picks of this purple awesomeness.
I’m shadow banned
badge of honor
I am too sgt?
Why I collect unclean guitars ? Why don't catfish have kittens ? Why why why ?
Nice skeleton outfit
Would like to buy that jacket. For sale?
It took me a solid 3 rewinds to figure out what you were rambling on out with the "baptism" tray haha
OCD show :)
If it makes you feel better , I think the bucket head guitars look ridiculous.
Much like the artist?
I don't get the appeal of the Buckethead Les Paul's either, all white, no fret inlays and an arcade game "fire" button. To each their own but I'd rather have a nice standard if I were in the market for a Les Paul
@@jimmyjames2022 I was trying to be nice but ya .
"BAPTISM TRAY…" Hilarious.
T
Baptism Tray 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Baptism tray😂😂
Baptism tray lol
First!
Plenty of cigar channels making YT money. Cigars are not illegal provided we aren’t talking about Cubans in the states. Don’t get any of us started on that nonsense.
I have 2 of those Explorer ash trays. They are great!
I made a prediction for 2024. Trogly talk a lot about a new expensive purchase for next year. A real Snakepit?? 🤔
“…but to find one that hasn’t been molested..” IVE NEVER HEARD A BETTER TERM TO DESCRIBE WHAT SOME OF THE GUITARS OUT THERE HAVE BEEN THROUGH, IM DYING
Actually a common term for condition purposes on items. It's often taken only in the context of relating to people.
