I just love how Lion-O's father was voiced by the original Lion-O. That is just awesome.
Having met him 2x was awesome. And hearing him do a line from the show made me a kid again for a moment.
He actually said at a comic con that he’s passed on the thundercats catchphrase to Will Friedle(the voice of lion-o in the 2011 reboot) and now when fans come to him for it he says “I’m sorry but that phrase belongs to Will now.”

@Shaiane O Hara as someone who grew up with the original Thundercats. I thought the 2011 version wasn’t all that bad though I have only watched it through one time. Would’ve liked for it to get a continuation. Even if you don’t agree with that though, you have to agree that this version is light years ahead of the newest one, Thundercats: Roar. That one is complete and utter trash.
Fun fact: the guy who played Lion-o's father is the guy who played Lion-o in the original series. Btw, this was an amazing series and I honestly hate Cartoon Network for canceling all of their great shows, this being on my favorites along with young justice and teen titans.:
Yeah then they make shitty reboots *cough* Teen Titans Go *cough* *cough* they're making a new Ben 10 series and so far it looks stupid(it hasn't even released yet) but CN does make good shows here and there, and the only good show I can think of that's newer than the others is Steven Universe, fandom is a little more then expected, but overall the show is great

coreydaprince Yup it really does. Even though the animation isn't anything to die over it still seems like it'll have an actual plot, and character development, but hopefully the jokes will at least be decent because with animation like that(plus the trailer) you'll know there's going to be jokes

This show could do well (possibly) on a streaming service since they don’t care about toy sales but then again it is animated so idk. But I would think that they’d only really care about viewership. Either way, I think it’d be great.

This was such a momentous occasion. Not just for Lion-O as a character, but for the show's remake as a whole. Literally paying homage to the original show and its fans (with Larry Kenney no less, and what more appropriate way to do it?), and passing the baton to the next generation of cast and fans. Brilliant first episode and it's a shame they cancelled this show.

Of course they know each other they've literally worked on tons of shows with each other. You realize the creators of gravity falls and Rick and Morty worked on a shows like fish hooks, the misadventures of Flapjack, and adventure Time (shows that are very good even though I know you're going to b**** about their art styles) before they even were given chances to make shows of their own. That's how the industry works you have to prove yourself they don't just give shows to random nobody's. Again, you prove you don't know what you're talking about. Capitalism has everything to do with it because as I said those shows are easier to create some more merch and make more money. also children typically don't really want to pay attention to shows that have overarching storylines overseasons. The channel wants to create shows that will get them more money for their channels and those shows will do it as everything to do with capitalism whether you want to admit it or not because the point of them existing is to make money. No merch and toy sales equals no 💰. It's common sense. And of course they went to the same school if you work in an industry chances are the top people who are in it went to the same schools

CN is rebooting Thundercats again and they ruined it.

I remember, when I was a kid, getting excited, holding up a plastic sword, and saying that line. "Sword of Omens! Give me Sight beyond Sight!"
He said it, still in uniform, grinning, at attention. Took my plastic sword and said thr whole oath... one of a thousand reasons that I knew my dad was cool.
I hear that line in my father's voice because the old man will always be my hero. As I am sure King Claudus is to Lion-O
I truly hate how this series had got canceled. It has so much potential and the first season was absolutely perfect.
Blame them wanting toy sales and then airing it on very weird ass times so even if there clearly was viewers they wouldnt catch it live so the numbers were screweed

I loved this show. It was nothing short of brilliant. Why they cancelled it is beyond me.

I hate how Modern CN treats action cartoons. Symbionic Titan also didn't deserve the treatment it got by CN.
+Monkey D. "Straw Hat" Luffy To be fair, the people working on CN back then aren't the same as the ones now. Who knows, we might get those two shows back, along with the SWAT Kats Reboot which is in development right now (I put my money on CN getting rights to it).
I think it was just too expensive to produce. Shows like this have an extremely difficult time surviving in the modern American animation business model. This is why everyone should give the Netflix Voltron show a chance. If it does well, maybe we can see more slick and well-written animation like this show. The Netflix business model makes those cartoons possible.

Trust me mate this series is a hidden gem that didn't get the recognition it deserved when it came out. It's pretty much a wrong time wrong place situation.

Actually it's a concies descision, for example in Gi Joe renegades duk is played by Jason Marsden, he's father is by Micheal Bell(the original G1 duke from the 80's!)

Great animation, voice actors who clearly give a damn about the end product, kickass fight scenes, a Snarf whose voice doesn't make people want to off themselves and a plot that goes beyond just "adventure for the sake of adventure"?

after the crap heap that was Dragonball Evolution, i don't know if i'd want the Hollywood establishment going anywhere near the Thundercats. i was a kid back in the 80's when they first came out and even now at 39 yrs old i still watch the cartoon and have spent thousands on collecting the original merch so if they delivered a film as they did with DB : Evolution (which i don't know how they screwed that up! they had the perfect story and fan base but still crapped all over it) then i'd lose my shit! and might have to catch a case beating the sense into the writers\producers.

Well i'm not a fan of 60's batman. I'm more a fan of 80's and 90's camp.
Well... even the original series first showed Liono as a teenager... sort of. I don't remember the specifics, but the first episode explained to some degree that he had the mind of a teenager but had the body of a fully aged 30 year old man - had something to do with his cryo-chamber failing or something. If I'm not mistaken, it showed him as a teenager at first, though.
