Likely it ended up like this being towed to a scrapyard but something happened during the towing. It would be cool if the remains could end up in a museum one day.
Bones on the beach, emerging from the mud, submerging into the mud stories untold, none remember them, none care. Home, for a time, for hearty men home upon the restless sea thin steel and hard wood standing between hazardous living and certain death. Tides do more than wash the shore currents and winds steal what men have built to own the world and be immortal and make wrecks of them make bones of them. We stare in wonder at how fragile are our creations how strong our hopes and dreams moving on always to greater things forgetting those failed and lost wondering about the stories of bones on the beach.
It is U122. It was taken as reparation after WW1, bought by a local scrap merchant and broke free from it's tow to where it now lies. There's more information on the historic Medway website
It’s hard to realise how isolated something is just a hundred feet from a road or footpath
Awesome footage 👍🏻
Thank you
@@Kentfromabove-t3iYou’re very welcome 🙏
There’s another small boat between the U-boat and the bank. Awesome views…❤️🙏🏼🤙🏼
I will have to take a look next time I’m there
Great video
Great footage of both boats.
Considering her condition it seems that U-122 was partially cut-up for salvage at some point. A shame.

The horrible music is not necessary. You spoilt a good vlog.
You can’t play a drone clip with no music
Then mute the volume, idiot.
NO COMPLAINT WITH THE MUSIC FROM ME.
Where TF is "Medway"??? NO idea.

Pone donde es cada uno flaco
Wood?
I think it is the remnants of a wodden barge laying beside it that makes the wood structure.
