Why is it so dark in their house for godsake. "Let me know if you need anything" yeah more lamps and lighting would be very nice thankyou.
this is the main reason i don't play these games... the stupid darkness makes them nefarious and crippling more than scary
That officer probably has 6 in his basement
And that's being generous.
Get yourself a man that smiles at you like the policeman in the thumbnail
Hahaha
"Dear men, what is preventing you from looking like this?"
(Show the policeman's face from this game.)
@@RaccoonGrrrl Not having one million dollars?
Lol
*no thank you*
This monster has better be the man behind the slaughter.
I didn't read the full title yet and I already assume that officer is guilty of something.
Yes. He saved you in first ending!
Indeed
No, you delusional
This Game is the same creator of "convenience store"?
Yeah it's the same devs. :)
@@AlphaBetaGamer How 'bout dat! "Convenience Store" gave me a chuckle. I wonder what they will do next.
best explains the whole head texture in an oval head with less than 3 polys
@@tonkotsuramen8453 bruh lmao
They did a great job on both. I hope they do more.
I find this game to be really bittersweet. Even if you fail, which is a reality for many people, you can still stand up and not lose hope. I also love how the dev added so many supernatural elements (the dog one was my favorite hahah)
Lovely game. Had a lot of scary and psychological horror elements which I really, really love. Great Job to the dev 💖
4:53 "(He's still breathing)"
Me: *Sigh of relief for game doggo*
This Dev (Chilla’s Art) has made some of the highest quality and most legitimately scary games in recent history.
I’m personally curious to see if this dev’s going to release some kind of magnum opus game that changes the face of horror, similar to how games like Slender, Amnesia or Outlast did.
true!
Right? He/she did a really amazing job with the subtle horror
Eh, wasn't really scared or creeped out by the covenience story and the tunnel one. Horror is subjective of course.
@woooudo those games might be stupid but that wasn't what he said. "Changed the face of horror games" was his words. I think Slender is a horrible game, but everyone tried to clone it thereafter. Those games took the genre in a new direction.
@woooudo I never liked Amnesia either, but it was hugely successful and a lot of people did.
It was the epitome of all atmosphere and no gameplay, and back when it came out that was more of a novelty. Since then such games are a dime a dozen. But the problem with being a trendsetter is you often get retroactively lumped in with the trend.
The officer looks like someone who would stand in the corner of my bedroom and stare at me all night
Bruh
Tbh i wouldn't mind staring at u all night long without even blinking once
@@Canenobile you really tried to shoot your shot there huh
prod suga Damn😂
@@denji5426 aight u got me, but for this lady I'd be willing to drop a nuke there like Hiroshima's one if a single shot isn't enough y'know
Don’t look now but...
He already is 😳
Sometimes true horror is reality itself, I kept waiting for monsters, ghosts, something paranormal and instead got something sad yet optimistic
I know this is like, ten months late but...
You did see the dog with a person's head yeah?
@@finalhunter6177 isn't it some sort of Japanese demon or similar entity?
@@finalhunter6177 What the fuck? Where?
The police in the thumbnail radiates "it's my turn on the Xbox" vibes so much lmao
That "horror movie" poster tho
Just a typical media example of Japanese using English words to look cool, yet not quite knowing the words. Lol.
Honestly, it makes it feel more like Japan, which is fine by me.
Seems like a movie I would watch. ;)
Well I was also wondering why he lingered in it
When chilla art can make and finish a game 10 times faster then yanderedev
A 1 hour game and a 8 hour game would also require different time to make it, I guess. Never follow or played yanderesim though.
10 times? You give yanderedev too much credit!
@@ebc6970 dont defend yandre dev trust me he deserves the shit hes done some horrible stuff plus the man took like 6 years to add one main villan

29:29 Ah yes the man face dog (Jinmenken) ghost
I cant imagine if it's me who accidentally run into a dog shifting into jinmenken like that...... i may immediately faint on spot, or at least be paralyzed due to maximum shock....... 🥶🥶 i applaud the protagonist could be that calm as if nothing happened and just continued her investigation.... 😮 unbelievable 😮😮
From the lore i've seen (from other game)
That yokai only appears at night just to scared people then run away, but there is also another one that killing people....
But yeah it might be still scary looking thing you saw at night 😂
@@neppurushadowheart 😨 only to scare people away or not, it's still a bad luck if you happen to encounter one......their image will keep haunting you who knows for how long... much much better not to go out at night, whenever possible... lol

So at 15:31, you just gonna grab her facemask and walk out her residency while staring at her? that, my sir, is the ULTIMATE power move
SKSKDKS THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING
Purge the elders, embrace the youth.
Thank you Alpha Beta Gamer for not putting commentary in these videos. It makes things more better and peaceful. Hearing someone screaming or talking through certain parts is annoying as hell. So thank you for that. I appreciate it. Oh and this game reminds me of SIREN. I love that damn game
the npc faces are really unsettling
I'm pretty sure the dev takes inspiration from the first PS2 Siren games for this
At 16:22
When the guy asking for beer exited stage right I could not stop laughing 😂
21:49 "But that was when she was when she was a child"
Japanese horror games are the best
I will not try to change your mind
No, it’s definitely Antarctic horror games that take the cake.
NO!
Ha take that just disagreed with you.
MWHAHAHAAHA!
Nah, Slavs make the best horror
These games are really good at taking "the feelings" to gamers
Im a simple man.
I see *chilla's art*
I click
Funahashi was my solace through the whole game. Seeing his face was calming.
25:33 tfw you give your crush a love letter
Love these games. Vintage looking horror games always scare me more than modern ones lol
Most modern video games concentrate too much on jumpscares, instead of its ambience. That's just my opinion, tho.
I actually have a theory about that. Horror needs to be "bad" to a certain degree, because overproduced Horror clearly is made to scare you and thus loses impact. It takes the wonder out of the equation.
Same
Lewis what was that for u spoiled it
I just played blood breed on switch - discounted right now. And legit it got me so spooked and its the most low quality ps1 vibe ever
I'm amazed that nobody has translated what Kanae's dad was saying. According to a friend, it probably means "Please come back".
It says ‘Tenochikiteyoaohiharo’. It’s rubbish haha
Thank you
The girls' backstory are very sad. Mitsuki had a overprotective mother who doesn't like her boyfriend so she start making fake letters in order to have them break up, and it hurts her heart. Akiko's parents probably abandoned her and her sister. And Kanae run away becuase she accidentally heard her parents argue about her being unwanted child.
"they pay me well. 100 yen an hour"
......93 CENTS! This game is scary but damn the mistranslation!
What you talking about? In his last job he was getting paid just 500 Yen's per week.
I don’t think it’s a mistranslation. I think it’s just a joke that the old man is in such a strange situation of working poorly for a chore he’s severely underpaid for.
2:03 I see you are a man of culture
Lol
Everyone talks like Jaden Smith in this game
That officer's face in the thumbnail is me when i see ABG new upload
39:58 when it says "It wants me to offer more..." The player looked down and it looks like Alpha tried to offer the protagonist blood or something lol
Nice atmosphere I do wish the subtitles were more clear about what character is actually talking. it was confusing at times.
main character talking without quotation mark.
How is she gonna be able to explain all this to the police? "Okay, so first I gave the snacks to the random kid and she gave me the dog food, and THEN the dog dug up a box with a note in it--honestly, this is pretty standard investigation stuff..."
Why they investigating this case when it's dark, just wait till it's daytime man
Well, the girls would obviously be dead by then. It's standard operating procedure to work around the clock on any missing persons case, anyway.
Because of the plot
i feel kinda bad cuz a lotta vrtubers mocked her voice acting (which was clearly amateur) and she seems to have omitted it in this game
What you guys talkin about?
Damn, rude asses. I liked her voice personally but that might be because I don't understand the language
15:36 HA I took your box. What're you gonna do about it? Hmm?? Nothing?! Okay I'll stop. Have a good day.
Is this by the same devs as that of the convenience store game?
yes!
that kid following and going away when u go closer to the car in the park was so unsettling for some reason
Scariest thing is when an ad suddenly pops up. The hell how many ads were on here? Had to stop watching at the middle because of it.
He have to eat
When the cop said I'm not good at this sorta stuff that pissed me off more than a horror video game should 😂
29:26 ... WTF... THAT DOG IS A...
... it's a JIMENKEN (a human-faced dog)
6:32 lmao this officer looks like he's having the time of his life.
'uhm... we don't have a grandma', holy shiet
Game: children went missing and it has horror vibes
Police officer: :)
he's just smiling the whole time it's creepy
That Kanae's house really is in a creepy spot
I love these games, hope the dev keeps making new stuff. The creepy real stretched faces are such a cool trademark. The super market one is by far my favorite so far.
27:40 went spooky so fastly
22:29 So I used Google Translate and it said: "Come on later, Seiyo Haro."
I think it was trying to say, "Come by later, say hello!" but I'm not sure...
40:03 Were you supposed to put the snacks on the altar?
I think there's a yellow propeller toy somewhere...
Btw, thanks for the translation!
its windmill toys
This was interesting but feels like something is missing. So much weirdness, those... "people" in the park, the non-grandma... I guess I was expecting the missing kids to have a more supernatural reasoning behind it.
4:04 I tabbed away real quick and almost heckin died.
Why hello there
GENERAL KENOBI
Old sport
*characters are Japanese*
Japanese Dad at 22:30: *says something in Japanese*
Character who's Japanese: What's he saying???
Clearly, in this universe, Japanese is English and English is Japanese.
It's almost as if people who speak certain languages may not have the mental cohesion to speak clearly, or something.
that weed puller dude gets paid horribly wtf ¥100 is like $0.95 wow
I think I'm missing something 😅 in the second ending to the left of the girls, there's a body in a trash bag. Who is that meant to be? I feel like its just glossed over in the text
I seriously thought this was some supernatural horror stuff because of the of those radios or recordings appearing in each child's house. And the grandma they never explained her why was she there (Not sure if im stupidly slow or the game was just all over the place) either way it was a nice game.
Also the clues were all over the place, that one girl being bullied hence the bag with graffiti, the parents fighting in a diary and of course the abusive(?) mother who loathes the idea of her daughter being with another guy.
Grandma is just ghost, which tries to help you solve problem.
I was watching Jay from the KubzScouts playing this game when this video showed up
These connections man....
How short is the player’s character lmao
FYI Chilla's Art are not actually Japanese, they're just asset flippers who claim to be Japanese because weebs I guess.
Where'd you get this piece of information? Because from what I've seen they're Japanese.
This game’s awesome, though I do think there are some things that could be worked on a little more. For one, the tasks that you have to do for the characters are weirdly set up, it doesn’t feel natural. I think that the reason for this is because the dialogue in itself is a bit janky. It was hard to immerse myself in the game :(
so who is pushing MC to the lake in bad end ?
Hmm... wrong house
*attempts to go around back*
Who is the real monster I wonder?
Don't you just love JP Horror games. They're the best.
2:04 can anyone tell me why there's that kind of poster on a police station wall?
Japan
15:10 the first lines, i can relate :(
So what was the deal with the offering part and the disappearing grandma? Also what was the big round thing that pushes you into the water and was sitting next to the kids? Is that something from Japanese mythology?
don't have a clue about the pinwheels or the grandma, however i think the big round thing was the protagonist's son, or at least his soul? perhaps he's punising his mom for failing in helping people yet again
Grandma is good ghost (or some kind of spirit) helping you find those children.
Grandma was a good spirit!
I read from other post that the offerings are for the god of protection of children from miscarriage. And it works for living children too.
29:31 the dog turns into an old man 👴
Jokes aside this game does subtle horror really well.
Yep
I love how the lady just teleports not even bothering to open the door.
Why is it always the Japanese who make the best horror games?!
Bro I swear you find the creepiest games. I love it
このゲームはすごい見います、おめでとう!
Jumpscare at 36:10
Damn, the flashlight is weak af
In the first ending 2 dark figures are the kids but where this officer go after you heard that breathing and saw this following you strange figure.
Is this game a continuation of something? I want to know more about the takumi incident...
How bloody creepy were the graphics 😨😱
Is this from the same makes as the convenience store Japanese horror?
Both ABG and the Kubz Scouts uploaded this game today... I guess the universe really wants me to know what this game is about
That dog must be real vintage if it hasn't woken up by walking around it,
Officer said: 👁👄👁
9:58 the grandma walks through your body 0.o
I love this dev, really solid games, definitely wanna see more.
I like how this game taught some morals to the players.
chilla's art always has such good atmospheres
This one is so fulfilling for having a happy ending
100 yen an hour is terrible...
The characters remind me of Goldeneye, on the N64.
they likely are based off of that.
The officer at the thumbnail looks like an oblivion character
I swear to God that creepy ass policeman in the thumbnail 100% looks like my ex..
2:03 Oh no, I'm shakin' in mah boots!
The Dev (Chilla's Art) is one of the prominent makers of retro horror genre. They really do come up with some soul chilling Japanese games.
I'm very surprised this detective could accomplish so much WITH FUCKING CATARACT. I SWEAR, IF YOU LOOK DIRECTLY AT A LAMPPOST THERE WILL STILL BE A DARK OUTLINE SURROUNDING THE CAMERA.
Is this the people tall or the player is short.... :V
With games like these, commentary only ruins the atmosphere - thank you 🙏
Japanese games are on another level... horror mixed with sad stuff, like silent hill.
This game is pretty peculiar, considering the suicide theme and that Japan has a high rate of suicide, no. 1 in the world if I remember correctly...
@Alex Jung correct, I don't remember where I heard that it was no. 1 though but that's wrong.
I'm going to assume this is the same person who made the scary supermarket game too
yes, it's the same devs!
2:27 ngl but a face like yours seems to be the reason kids in schools are struggling
How tall is the protagonist? It feels like playing as a child.
17:06 underrated moment
The way they got the faces like that really reminded me of Forbidden Siren
