My AD handles a “waitlist” no longer than one year for every model. They only accept a certain amount of orders per year and when they have enough they stop registering new people requesting a certain model. So it’s not impossible to get, but very unlikely because the amount of requests is pretty high depending on the model/configuration. I managed to get one, had to pay 10% in advance to show “commitment” and will get the call in about 2-12 months. It’s not that hard, just have to be patient and find the right AD, because some of them are scum and some are actually really good and honest.
I appreciate good info and have watched this channel and many others for some time. All while (I can say from experience) the wait list is by no means over, per no calls from trusted and longtime relationship (2004) at local AD where I have heavily invested proving my Rolex brand preference and loyalty. I will say they have had some restructure at that local AD which I would hope for us to have not been forgotten. So far they have missed a special occasion communicated months prior and with another one coming up in a few weeks of even greater importance (also communicated months ago) I can only hope it is not disregarded.
