    ISP has been around for 30 yrs. maybe 35. The Episcopal is Anglican, not Catholic. Started in about 1960.

    Good topic since I hear more families are coming down with kids. If you have more information of schools on the coasts and in the mountain regions, that would be great. It is good to hear that there are different tiers. I have seen a few webpages for schools and they tend to be in that 1k/mo price range which is a little discouraging.

      Hey Jeff, absolutely. It really depends on which areas you are looking in to. There are a handful of schools in the beaches area near Coronado including Coronado International School, Panama Coast International and Five Stars Academy.

      @PanamaequityRealEstate . I think the Canadian International School 🏫 of Panama has one and of course the Academia Bilingue Panama para el Futuro has one but that is a public boarding school, follows the IB curriculum and is very nice 👍, in Chiriqui there is one called Colegio Adventista which is a private boarding school, la Normal de Santiago has one but it is a public boarding school and needs some repairs still it looks pretty decent. A new public boarding school called Academia de la Juventud might be built in the future. Sunset Bay Academy is a private boarding school in Panama too but it is for rebellious kids.. AIS, the Metropolitan School and the International School has hosts families that board international students, Balboa Academy might build a dormitory to allow international students to stay. Meduca has 8 public boarding schools 🏫 throughout the country but only 2 or 3 have been remodeled..not the other ones. Encontrando el Nuevo Camino, Jose Dolores Moscote and Jose La Escala have rooms,dining areas ,classrooms, etc. Colegio La Auxiliadora has residences for girls in Capira ..way out of Panama City. A school called Forum Academy or Forum Foundation in Panama has some rooms for students who have need to study at the buildings of the school,dine,use their library, etc. It is very simplistic nothing fancy ..mainly for very low income smart students who have no access to schools close to them. Hopefully more international boarding schools open in Panama.

      Hi there, Im not aware of any public universities in Boquete where English is the primary language, sorry!

      No public schools or universities are taught all in English. There is an affiliation of one University with Florida State in the capital. But it is not a public university that I know of. It does have some reciprocity with the Florida State University in the US as the one here only goes to a two year degree. There is also the University of Louisville branch, but again, in the capital. You would have to reach out to them.

    Can you share the names of top rated Catholic or Christian English speaking (preferably American) schools anywhere in Panama? I will buy real estate near that.

      Sure good morning, there are quite a few. La Salle is Catholic, Colegio Episcopal is almost Catholic :) and both are in El Cangrejo / El Carmen areas. Panama Christian school is in Albrook where a number of other very good private schools in Panama are located

      The Episcopal School of Panama is the worst private school in Panama. Teachers don't know that much, there is no discipline in the school, kids can have no sympathy for other students. The school offers nothing compared to other schools. I think King's College School in Panama is #1, I thought maybe they were a boarding school because they have all the facilities those schools have, do they have a dorm?? Which school in Panama has a dorm besides Sunset Bay Academy that is an international school??? Though I graduated in 1992 in another school I regret going to the Episcopal School of Panama. I would have preferred to finish my senior year in a boarding school in Louisiana even though I couldn't get usted to been away from home and the supervisor was strict but my room was nice, the food was delicious and we could go ice skating at times in Houston plus my books were so beautiful and they smelled like roses. The place was so quiet,no one yelled at me 24/7 nor controlled me. We could not go out always and had gates closed sometimes and only 1 washer/ 1 dryer but I learned more than in the porquería ( terrible) school I went to. The cafeteria closed me the doors one time on me of my boarding school,but they didn't do it again and invited me again the following year.Too bad they are an expensive school. How many times did Luby's closed the doors on me and didn't let me eat? Three times or more. I recommend King's College School in Panama, it looks like a great school, International School of Panama and Boston School International are great too but do ask many times for transcripts from their Meduca curriculum and their transcripts in case they don't.

    Are most private schools religious in nature?

    • @PanamaequityRealEstate
      @PanamaequityRealEstate  4 роки тому

      Hey Matthew, most of the private schools in Panama are affiliated with a religion however some of the top rated ones are not. These include the International School of Panama and also the Boston School, among others.
