Great review, thanks Micah! EBikes For Good is a great initiative and we're glad that the Nomad 1 here is going to a good home and get some proper use. Good luck to everyone joining the giveaway!
How kind of you to give bikes to others who could really use one. I hope you find all honest people. You’ll be rewarded for your kindness, many times over!
I agree, that yellow is sharp! I like your reviews, because they’re quick, honest and to the point! Thanks!!
Bright colours are the way to go. I'd also advocate for marine solas rated reflective tape too.
Oh man what a beautiful bike! A bright bike is easier for motorists to see, making it inherently safer for its rider!
Don't let them push you around, I like the Yellow too!!!! :) I also like the top loading of the battery. I use to think that the bottom was better because water would be less likely to collect, but a friend had his bottom battery fall out which caused him to have a really bad accident. He hit the ground hard and ended up with a broken collarbone.
Holy crap I hope he's ok
I have owned my Nomad for awhile now and Love It! I have a Mango Step-Thru. I love the bright color! People can see me a lot easier.
I agree, of all the bright ebike colors this yellow is perfect. Thanks for the review, Micah!
Nice to see some affordable e-bikes with style. Clean design, no tacked on looking battery pack, cool colors.
Really like the concept of E-bikes and solar power use, these kind of knowledge will help us to build a sustainable future someday!
Great job on the video Micah! Thanks for making it.
Yellow is such a happy colour, i t looks fun and bright! A real advertisement for Ebikes as it stands out. I like your reviews, they’re quick, honest and to the point! Thanks!!
I really like this ebike... love the yellow and black combo... this thing is sweet looking.... the UL listing is great to see...
Your unboxing videos are always entertaining. Would love see a video of you repacking/reboxing a bike for shipping to the new owner! Nice bike and video.
Pro tip: since you don't need to really carry an all-in-one tool like someone going on a long bike ride, a great way to save your wrists and time would be to get a cheap electric screwdriver and a bit set that includes at least 3, 4, and 5mm hex bits.
I like the fact that the price of Ebikes is coming down, although still a bit over my budget. I wouldn't normally buy a yellow bike but this one actually looks really good with the yellow/black color scheme.
I clicked on the link, but only got the "Something went wrong" message on YT... Thank you Micah for your videos, always enjoy seeing the different styles colors and drive trains... L'Chaim
Seems like a good value, i Like the yellow. I think the 'fake mid drive boxes' are becoming popular because downtubes with internal batteries are so chunky. Seems like its easier to build and more structurally sound with the fake mid drive box. I'm not a big fan of that look either but theres a reason they do it i suppose
Great color and good visibility for safety.
Love the color.. Like a ray of sunshine ..
Just started watching your videos, pretty extensive on your testing, keep up the good work!
That is so cool to just give a bike to someone. And a free book. Sweet!
This e-bike looks awesome.
Good review mate like always and great looking bike too....And i like the bright colours myself.......That yellow really pops mate.......
Black bikes are great for eluding zombies. The bright colors scream out, eat me!😂
Thanks for the review.👍🏼
I used to have a car that color. I'm so glad bike manufacturers are adding more choices.
really cool bike ! Looks very well built .
I have to say one of the selling features of my Elby was that it came in orange!
Good job on this review! Yes the color makes that bike pop out!
It’s a great mango adventure bike, but you read my mind about the awkward controller box in the middle and I love the color and the price is good enough
Cool that you’re giving e-bikes away. Good for you!
That sure is yellow. I wouldn't mind that at all. I love that you are giving away some Ebikes. I got my fingers crossed.
This is a pretty decent one! Nice video. Always look forward to your videos, including chang Li truck videos! The boat was super dope as well 😅
I like the hydraulic disc brakes, UL battery and front fork.
Love the yellow bike !
I agree with you on the bright colors for bikes
I also love that color...is there any way to upgrade the speed limit via programming? Another great video!!
That's a sharp looking bike and love the color.
Would love to see a new video for entry level (cheap?) ebikes. Your last video is 2 years old and it's very likely many thing have changes (esp considering covid supplies etc). Thank you and Toda! 🙏
Seems like a fun bike and I love that 🥭 yellow colorway!
Yah! Always enjoy your vids and find the information super useful. Wondering what your absolute favorite is nowadays?
That yellow looks amazon on that e-bike! The contrast between the black and the yellow, yellow jacket hornet e-bike...
I love the color as well.
Velocity + Electric = Velotric?
Love the yellow... like bubble bee transformer 😂😂
Between this and the Fucare Libra, which would you prefer? I'm looking to get my first ebike and I've narrowed it down to these two. I have the double whammy of an auto accident several years ago and a hip injury repairing said car. An ebike seems to be the best way for me to get out and see the nature sites around my home.
They def prefer two different environments. For city riding the Fucare Libra is probably better. If you do more off-road riding, then the 26” tires and better pedaling geometry make the Nomad better, in my opinion.
Something that slightly bugs me, why do pretty much all ebike makers mount the headlight on the lower part of the suspension where there's the most amount of vibrations? Why not mount it to the upper part where most impacts are dampended out? I've been dealing with my 'upgraded' headlight coming loose because of how heavy it is so little things like the mounting location have become more apparent to me.
i LIKE THE yELLOW ALSO same color as my favorite bike growing up. I plan on putting together a e trike eventually to get around town.retired, then had a stroke i could possibly use a step through bike .I still have 1 good leg to supprt myself with
Love the Yellow!
The yellow looks nice
That yellow in that bike looks good but im sure it looks better in person
Don't worry about the grounds crew. It's cool.
Nice bike, but I’m looking for more of a cargo bike with a mid drive. Love that yellow.
There are many other e-bikes that are less expensive that are class 3 (28 mph) bikes so I don't understand what Velotric is afraid of. Maybe there's a code to unlock the higher top speed? Either way, it's a good looking bike and it's nice that it has hydraulic brakes.
Yeah, 25mph is odd. Not much difference in safety, I doubt that it would add that much more wear and tear to drivetrain components. Considering the size of the bike and it's a "dual-sport" style, maybe they don't think customers will hit that door much anyway?
Great video! It's nice that you're having a give away contest. Thanks!
Seems pretty good. I've been looking at these to buy at some point. Definitely cool.
I agree with you about the bikes needing to have colors
E-bikes for good = Micah is awesome. Very nice!
Lotta nice tools come with the bike.
Construction zone yellow makes the bike 125% safer
🚧💯
Yes. But that's less true in areas with real bike infrastructure. That's a whole other video though
I love the color of this bike.
Great review! Maybe you could a Vedic on E-bike fat tire for Short 5 ft 2 or below? There are not many options, keep up with the good work!
I bought an electric assisted bike last year. We live 5 miles from town (down the mountain). We live so far from town that we have to drive to the post office and pick up my 85 year old dad’s medicine.
We bought the bike so I can ride it into town but need assistance coming home.
Some of the “S” curves are blind so I have to change into oncoming lane to stay safe.
I'd probably go for the DIY solar. Interesting stuff. - John G
Nice Color....keep giving them away
Is the ebike giveaway for the US only or is Canada included?
The older of us here in the UK might call that colour 'corporation yellow' as it's pretty much the colour that a lot of public utility vehicles used to be. I think it's a great colour by the way.
it looks like caution tape to me.
This is very nice e-bike , love the color 12:56
Hello Micha. I have an interesting question for you if you see this reply: do you think fat tire bike manufacturers should start offering thinner tire options for the same bikes?
There are a lot of great fat tires ebikes that would be wonderful normal tire ebikes.
Most people don't need fat tires anyways so many manufacturers would be smart to see if non-fat tires sell. Plus easier to find tires and most likely other accessories too.
Thanks for the Video! Nice Bike. I really like fat tire bikes, but I don't have an e-bike with fat tires. The Velotronic bike seems really good!
hey I actually prefer the brighter color.
my bikes have been black od the last bike is dark green/black and it can be hard to find when left by the trail as walking is often a way to step out there to see the lake, river or whats under that tree over there?
Ive actually lost my bike a couple times and required a bit of looking to find it again. lol
Informative quality content as always. I hope you can review the dual motor Vanmoof V when it releases. Thanks for all you do
Another great review - I agree with you - more colorful bikes would be nice. I don't need a free ebike, but I'm super impressed you do these giveaways.
Always enjoy your videos. Great review.
Great color. 100%
The festive Mango color does make the bike seem a little happier than a bike wearing dour colors. One aesthetic that I kind of enjoy on that bike is how they have stylized the stem to look very sleek . So much so that until you tightened the headset I thought that they were using threaded forks. Most threadless headset bikes still tend to look more industrial and chunky above the headset than the Nomad does.
Im not a fan of the way they made the seat tube in the shape of an Alsace wine bottle though. It just looks like there would be less engagement with the seat post than I want to see or think about.
I ALSO LIKE THE COLOR CHOICE.
I'd ride that bright yellow!
Very cool what you're doing.
The Velotrics can be turned up to 25 mph in throttle and pedal assist!
That's a real sweet bike!
Nice bike, nice color!
Is there a safe way to upgrade that bike to experience it's potential 28mph? It has a 750 watt motor. I recognize that with the name, "Nomad," it is probably designed for a long distance ride. How far can it go on a charge?
You just email Velitric support and they'll send you the instructions to unlock class 3.
Nice Bike would be great to have to get back and forth from work Great channel
Nice touch in giveaways.
No rear suspension or optional front/rear rack options? Can the bike be unlocked for a higher speed too? TY & luv ur reviews. 👍✌
There is a front and rear rack option. Plus the bike can be unlocked
congrats ricardo
Velotric has a policy of not posting negative reviews on its website. However, I purchased two bikes and left a one-star review for my purchased. After that, Velotric sent me an email stating that they reserve the right to select which reviews to post and which ones not to post. Thus, it is important for buyers to be aware of this policy.
That is a very Nice Bike. Thanks for Sharing.
Very cool! Love that color.
Love the color 👍
Great vid , and also real cool bike the Nomad 😁👍🚴🚴
Can you make a video about how to calculate the range of an electric skatebored?
Hey there Micah.....is it possible to wire two 36v20ah lithium battery packs in parallel? i was quoted $2700 for a 72v30ah battery by an EMMO service tech...he says my ebike scooter is a 72v system...but the charger is 60v20ah.sla batteries....im not even sure there are 5 sla batteries because its all hidden behind body panels. But now i must take all the panels off and see whats in there ...including the motor controller rating so i can try to convert it to Lithium battery pack...say its a 4x12v so 48v system....would the 60v20ah charger it has work ok? because i think they are old and froze over this last ontario canada winter....last year i could go about 10 km on full charge...this year maybe .5 to 1 km...so something happened...also do you believe sla batteries can be reconditioned like i see on youtube with desulfators and addind distilled water to each cell in the battery? i even seen some add epsom salt...so...i dont know what to believe anymore lol....regardless i cant charge sla batteries because there are no power points outside of where i live....so im forced to go removable lithium pack....i just want to know exactly what specs i need to follow for a safe conversion....hope someone can help answer these questions...i could use the ebike alot at this time of year! so thanks to anyone who can help if Micah is too busy or doesnt even see my post....
I like the bike but in my case need step thru. I been watching you and other here on You tube I am trying to save up enough to buy an ebike. I will be 65 in few days being on fixed income its hard yet the bike will be my main wheels to get around. The Car market is beyond affordable for me now. I need a cargo so can get food and other things. Till I got enough funds still exploring all bikes to educate self on them. For me its not the speed like some want I want something with good distance good hill climing cause alot of hills in my small town of 8000. Also hope one that can get me to city and back 20 miles from my home. Thanks for all you do!
This bikes color is awesome
I like that yellow. But I also pick bright colors when buying a car.
Not crazy about the yellow, but a green or blue would be sharp.
i have been waiting for this video for a while ♥ ♥
Thank you lord
They make any of these things not crazy fat tire and with a mid-drive?
Looks great 🍻
