Great video Mr Caffrey. I just found your videos here but have been on KD forums for a while. It's nice to see what other makers do and the time they put into each piece.
Thanks for taking the time to do the videos.

Mr Caffrey where can I get one of the tools I see you using. Do you sell them? Didn’t see on your website.

Ken..... I've tried using "lube" when hand finishing a number of times, but it always frustrates the heck outta me....because I can't see whats going on where I'm sanding....so its clean it off, look, reapply, sand, clean it off.....and on and on. Because of that I don't use lube when hand sanding. Personally, I think any benefit from "lube" depends on the type a sandpaper you use.....I think it aids Silicon Carbide paper, but think it it actually hinders Aluminum Oxide papers.

Ed - what do you do to finish the spine? Bless you brother, for posting this great stuff. I will have to buy a Caffrey original next time I come into some money by way of thanks. The info you have posted will save me enough time in making my own knives that it is worth it.

One more comment 'n question - Glad you explained why you radiused the spine in the handle grinding videos.... makes sense. Now, do you ever use a liquid like Windex or oil for sanding the blade with your wet type sandpaper? I've done it both ways and can't decide. Usually it's a blend of dry and wet sanding for me. I'd just like your comment please. Ken H>

If that blade is sharp looks like your risking cutting yourself pretty bad from the tip and the edge should make a wider stem for the blade to sit on while it’s in the vice or sharpen knife after finishing that’s just me unnecessary risk of injury or someone else watching not as good as you could loose a finger or just getting hurt bad safety first brother nice vid other then that
