My favorite thing about this channel is that you aren't promoting the feel-good, "you go girl" sentiment that has infiltrated both the secular and religious worlds. I'm so over the Instagram backslapping, thinking that that's the cure to depression, anxiety, and suicide, all while the rates continue to skyrocket. More like...God. Purpose. Duty. Responsibility. Working your faith out in fear and trembling. Thank you, and keep up the good work, Allie.
The opposite of self-loathing is not self-love but self-forgetfulness! Love this concept! So many need to hear that. Thank you Ally! May God bless you and your endeavors in this decade and beyond...
One thing to add about God's grace. Many people treat God's grace like a wage that he owes us. Yet, the fact is, he doesn't owe anyone grace and doesn't extend it to everyone. If he owed us grace and had to extend it to everyone then it wouldn't be grace.
I love your Biblical teaching! A friend shared a link to this video. I’m glad you summarized the first three as well. Three myths Christian women believe: 1. “You are enough.” HE is sufficient. 2. “You have to love yourself before you can love other people.” It’s self-forgetfulness. 3. “Be you.” Authenticity is not good when used as an excuse for sin. God is not limited by our personality type. Three more myths that Christian women believe: 1. “Give yourself grace.” The Bible doesn’t say to do this. It’s God who gives ultimate grace. HIS grace is sufficient. It saves, sanctifies, strengthens, and sustains. “You shouldn’t feel guilty.” We should be ashamed of sin and hate it. Paul admonished that they should be ashamed for their bad behavior. Godly grief leads to repentance. We don’t wallow in shame, but we should grieve over and repent of sin. 2. “Take up space.” “Assert yourself.” Don’t belittle yourself either. He must increase and I must decrease. I take up less and less space. HE makes a way for us. HE values us. We’re free to be content. 3. “Your feelings are valid.” Yes, they’re real, but not always valid. Weigh them against the Word of God. E.g. depression. Our emotions can be manipulated by what we read or music we listen to. Our hearts can lead us astray. Wow! Lots to think about. Many of these I had thought about but never heard anyone come out and tell the truth about these. I want to look up your coming book on these and additional myths. Thanks so much!!!
I’m praying for the right time to share this and the first episode with my fellow sisters in Christ that have built a complete following based on these false myths.. I constantly feel like the Debbie Downer because I will not ever engage or justify those types of conversations and posts BUT I am grateful to stand alone with Christ in my inner circle and feel so blessed to see the truth of God’s Word and not “my truth”. I hate that phrase lol
Oh man, thank-you. I've definitely been susceptible to this feel-good stuff. Best point that hit me from this video, about the easy yoke of Chirst, versus the burden of self-worship: "You are not a good god." Oh man, SO TRUE. I am not a good god. Thank-you for the reminder to follow Christ at all times -- and THANK-YOU for having the courage to say things that may sound unpopular to those without ears to hear. This encouraged my spirit though, today. Thanks.
Allie, I have had so many "aha" moments from your show! You helped me search for a biblical perspective instead of a selfish or cultural perspective, thank you! I have an idea for a show topic that I hope you would consider covering: women's modest dress--you briefly touched on it in a previous episode, but I would love to go deeper. A youtuber I saw answered a Q & A about her wearing a headcovering and mainly skirts, said that she grew up Amish and left the community..that she is Christian and encouraged viewers to read 1 Corinthians 11. I did, and now am wondering if I should go more towards dresses instead of pants. It has me thinking about what "image" or association could be assumed if I wore, for example, the popular distressed jeans. It draws to my mind someone that is wild or rebellious. Does that glorify God? Does it bring attention to God, or to my body? I know that we put on pants without even thinking now, but when they first got to be popular for women, was it a rebellious thing? What type of woman started the trend? I try to have my focus be on growing more in biblical literacy and honoring God and my husband with my body, but I do feel a sadness when I think of how I used to dress in my college years. Or if I see young girls dressing or dancing inappropriately now, it really hurts my heart. I would love to hear your input and advice. Blessings to you, I cannot wait to read your book!
I currently attend a gynocentric church. And I'm working to change the culture. All of these myths are prevalent in the church. Not just mine, but in general. It's reassuring to hear you say things like this, it's good to be reminded I'm not crazy.
I am so glad that I found your videos. I am leaning so much that I should have a long time ago. I know exactly what you are talking about getting emotionally involved with something. I had this happen with a TV series. It was crazy how it effected me.
Thank you Allie. I wish you would cover the tragic epidemic of divorce that is rampant among church going Christians. To hear you expound on the sacredness of the wedding vows. For we as Christians, divorce is allowed if one's spouse is given to adultery or desertion. It is still best not to divorce the wife or husband of your youth. Christians should not have any strong friendship with those that interfere negatively when it comes to another married couples holy union. The whole "You just need to be happy" is a lie from the pit of hell. Happiness is fine but is not what it's about. It's about doing what is right before God and mankind. Of keeping your vows before men and God. Doing what is RIGHT.
Thank you so much for making your videos and being honest with Christian Women. I love that you stand behind and for God's word where we as Christians struggle with in this world. I know that I am never enough and I need HIM always and all the time.
Another really good video that I am very happy I clicked on. However, once again, I look at your recent videos and I wonder why I haven't been watching any of them. And I come to the same conclusion as before that your titles are too vague and are discouraging clicks. Also, after watching this video, I can't help but think that it could have been split up into smaller parts which would be more digestible for everyone or at least that the review could be much shorter. I sincerely hope you continue doing well and are able to reach very many people. This channel is a blessing! Please put some more thought into how you are promoting your videos though. Thank you so much for the thoughtful discussion. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the insights that you provide. Please keep it up! God bless you!
We are loved by the King of all Kings, why do we have to take up space to have value? Thankyou, I love that!❤ I do think a couple of the points made were a little more black and white than they needed to be, but for the right audience I can see where you are coming from.. thankyou for being a counter cultural voice in todays world
Hi Allie, thanks for sharing the unpopular truth. I know you had mentioned in a previous video that you and your husband struggled at first with getting pregnant. Did you ever stumble upon the infertility community on Instagram/UA-cam? There are like most of the "communities" out there people who don't appear to have a genuine relationship with the Lord sharing "truth" and Christian sounding encouragement. But the real problem I've seen is so many Christian women who are posting half-truths galore (lots of declarations "my body can hold a baby" "I will be a mom", "angel" babies). I would love to hear your thoughts on God's sovereignty and biblical truth in regard to infertility, IVF, etc... It is a topic that is often tip-toed around due to the emotions involved, but as a Christian struggling with infertility and miscarriage hearing some biblical viewpoints is refreshing.
My wife and I had our first baby no problem in 2013. Then we had 6 miscarriages in 3 years. We eventually found out she had a blood clotting disorder. Just keep praying, stay in the Word, and don't just pray for a baby. Pray that God will softener your heart and make you humble and willing to accept His will, whether it involves a baby or not. I hope you do get a healthy baby. But we just tried to keep the mindset that we aren't entitled to anything, and if it wasn't meant to be, we needed to accept it and praise God. Job lost basically everything in his life all in 1 day. His children, servants, animals, etc. All gone. His wife told him to "Curse God and die". "But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips.” Job 2:10 ESV Concentrate on the blessing, keep a grateful heart, and pray to be confirmed to His will. I pray He gives you comfort and peace no matter the outcome.
The root issue to all of this is people just being selfish! They will look for any narrative to continue serving themself. Whether they twist some scripture for justification, or they quote some life coach guru. They’re all just looking to continue in their sin.
It’s all in the wording and perspective... changing the context of the words around “you are enough” can make it true. For example, “with God by my side I am enough” (because he makes up for all I lack) this only adds two words but changes everything. I loved hearing your perspective on each of these areas... yet I don’t think it is quite as black and white as you’re making it out to be on a couple of them because of all the variations in context when some of these are said.
Allie- 24 year old female college student here.😊 I have faithfully listened to this podcast👌🏻 for almost 2 years now. I became more concerned with my faith and Christianity when my brother passed away from a heroin OD August 1st 2018. I really needed to figure out the real truth about who God was and what He wants from us in the church. I have heavily agreed with TULIP and I loved reading the history behind it. However the more history I digested the more I realized there was. Over the last month or so I have undergone the most intense changes in my thinking regarding the Catholic Church. Specifically, The Blessed Mother. I wish I had the time to type my entire testimony out here in this comment but long story short: I am becoming Catholic! I truly feel that I am in the palm of Gods hand and that His son and Mary are right here with me. Protestantism led to me to the Church, and it also lead me to have a really healthy relationship with the elements of the faith as a new Catholic. Praise Jesus!!! I will be praying for anyone who is considering coming home to the Catholic Church, please read your history!! It is so so interesting and you won’t be able to see the Church the same ever again . 🙏🏻💜
Be very careful. Catholics believe in a work based salvation, and there is no where in the Bible that tells us to pray to anyone else but Jesus. He is our sole mediator. Mary being an extra mediator between us and Jesus is a completely non biblical doctrine.
I didnt say I agreed with everything the Catholic Church teaches (as I am obviously coming from a Protestant world view) and I don’t believe Mary is anything but Jesus’ mother... but in heaven I think Jesus mother will be by his side.. can’t think of anywhere she would be, and I will have a relationship with her and Jesus in heaven. I can’t wait to ask Jesus to show me his life as is it happened from his birth until his homecoming, I can’t wait to actually get to know him. We really know very little about Jesus and I can’t wait to know about all of it!
Welcome home! I’m very excited for you! I came from the Baptist Church 12 years ago. Best decision ever. Don’t worry about the people who have misconceptions etc. My prayer is to be a bridge to show that we’re all Christians (Christ followers) who have more in common than not.
I like the recap of the previous myths. One of my favorite has been the very first. We are not enough. God did not create perfect humans... He created us to be perfectly human. All of our flaws included.
Actually he did create perfect humans and humans disobeyed him. Those "flaws" are are called sin. I only point this out not because I don't know what your point is in making this statement but because she was taking about myths we as christians take as truth/ gospel. Unbelievers will read a comment like this and run with it and never understand the need for a savior because that statement makes it seem like even in their sin God is perfectly happen with them. Again I know that's not the intent of your statement. It just reminds me of the whole "God knows my heart and the bible says don't judge" comments people make with no real biblical context.
@@deeadra4844 This makes little sense. If humans were created to be "perfect", then why did they sin? That's like calling a calculator flawless in its calculations, except that it sometimes gives you the wrong answer. My point was that absolutism is, by its very nature, extremism. It is also false logic. That is true regardless of how strong your faith is. Faith without basis in something, is not faith. BTW... it is OK to discuss this philosophically. God fearing, good-minded, faithful people have been discussing things like this for a very long time. I know there are people who are afraid to discuss matters of faith, I am not one of them.
Shame is interesting. It's important to separate shame from guilt. Shame attacks the identity/character of a person, while guilt attacks the behavior/actions of a person. We should be guilty of sinful behavior, but we shouldn't be shameful of ourselves. Shame makes us withdraw and hide our wrongdoings, which is counterproductive. Guilt, on the other hand, is like many negative emotions (e.g. anxiety) - it produces motivation to rectifies our wrongdoings. Guilt is adaptive and we should embrace it, even though guilt feels terrible. I say this as a psychology student.
Amen! This is the Truth. Christ is King. We are called to take up our cross and due to self. Not to torture yourself but to die to it. I like your focus on self-forgetfulness.
The “give yourself grace” myth... yes!!! As a Catholic, grace comes from God. And self criticism is “working out my salvation with fear” as the Bible says. If I need grace I can’t give it to myself. I don’t have it to give! I run to God and the Sacraments he provides through His Church.
What does self-forgetfulness mean. When i do things that are pleasing to me i always feel bad and guilty cause i know its not righteous, and i self loath whenever i am resisting temptations, and you said self love and self loathing are the two sides of the same self-centre coin. What does that mean?
I believe by “self-forgetfulness” she means to take yourself out of the equation. To not think of yourself so much and instead shift your attention and focus from self to God! Self loathing + Self love is on the same coin bc it evolves around self and feelings rather than God and truth. In addition, shame and self loathing are not of God but from the enemy! 1 Corinthians 10:23 "I have the right to do anything," you say--but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything"--but not everything is constructive. You can enjoy things that are pleasing to you! The problem arises when the intent behind doing what pleases you becomes contaminated or doing what pleases you is a sin. For example drinking wine is not a sin, some people like the taste and it pleases them. However it becomes sinful when you drink wine solely to get drunk. Wine is wine, but the intent of the heart is what truly matters and makes the difference. God bless ❤️!
If I sin then shame should be in my heart, a remorse for what I have done, if I seek the lord for forgiveness, he cleanses my heart from all unrighteousness, when this occurs, shame is removed for my heart, and I have no shame, I have peace due to the power of Gods forgiveness, if I look at my past sins then I should not be ashamed of any of them, that is, an emotional content, a spiritual content of my heart, but I do not then remove the truth that it was sin, so if I stole many years ago, I do not look at this and feel shame now, because I have been forgiven, my heart is cleansed, the forgiveness of God is not to have shame in one's heart for the sin which I have committed, once I have been forgiven, Paul does not look and his past self when he was Saul and feel great remorse and sorrow and pain in his heart because of Shame, he lives in perfect peace, because this is the power of Gods forgiveness, to recognise a truth is one thing, but to live in shame all your life with the things you've done is another, people who live in shame in this way, have not known the forgiving power of the Christ, repent to the Christ and he will remove the shame in your heart, and bring you into perfect peace.
Hi Allie, great podcast, just one little note : 7:59 you said God made us not enough - I don't think that's true. In the beginning, when God made Man and Woman he said it was very good. I think he made two perfect people, it was rather sin, that corrupted us. So it's true that in our correct state, we need the cross, but before sin, everything was perfect. What are your thoughts?
Diana Skene, I believe God created us to have a dependent, trusting relationship with Him. Cooperating with Him, walking in agreement with Him, in fulfilling all His purposes for us. They listened to a lie and went their own way, so sin separated us from God. So sad. Such good news that Jesus provided the way for us to be reconciled back with God! Amazing grace!
People do need to love themselves before loving others but what they miss is that we need to love ourselves as God does. God gave us His love, or what most call law, by putting His love in our heart. This come from not understanding God's love, His heart. Psalms 119:151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth. Jesus is The Word, John 1:1-5 The Word God spoke: Exodus 20:1 The Word God wrote: Deuteronomy 4:13 and The Word God made flesh John 1:14. He is our example of The Trinity. He is The Law that hung on the cross and The Law that is written in the heart. Psalms 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. With obedience to The Father in Deut.6:8-9, The Father anoints us with His Word, putting us in His Son, The Holy Spirit. Build up the body of Christ by 'putting on' The Lord. Cling to, dwell in the law (Ten Commandments) and testimony (Sermon on the Mount). We know His voice. His words are spirit and they are life. Hear Him. Prepare for your future and the life of your loved ones. As Paul tells us, "put on Jesus." Cling to, dwell in the Truth, in life. We have to learn God's love, and put on our armour so He can teach us, before we can help or remove the mote from another's eye. We are all in the same boat, all in need of one kind or another and the only way we can help others is to first help ourselves.
@@amandalynnlucarini9517 & Meghan Fain, Hello, it seems somebody has deleted a ton of older videos of Allie on youtube, so sad. We would like those to be available :) I found two sources. Episode #85 from March 13th 2019 titled "You're Not Enough" details on one of the three points. This is available on youtube - (ua-cam.com/video/1tqFWKW3bTQ/v-deo.html). Allie talked about all three points (being enough? self love? being you?) in episode #69 from January 17th 2019 titled "3 Myths Christian Women Believe." Available audio-only here - (omny.fm/shows/relatable-with-allie-stuckey-1/episode-69-3-myths-christian-women-believe/). God bless!
My Abba Jehovah and Jesus Christ has been my favorite best counselor He's healed me from alot .He's healed me from being raised in a sexually abusive alcoholic home no therapist could dig deeper Jesus is the well that never runs dry . He's healed me from toxic self love so called Christian self help He's healed me from social media addiction and self righteous attitude the Spirit gives life not the letter of the law or sinless perfection of holier than thou. He's helping me understand He wants me to both spend time alone and Serve Him and forget myself hate my old sinful nature and we were made for Him we need both rest and work serve others and enjoy our lives in Christ its ok to take care of your self for Christ caring for Christ body our body Ephesians 5 its in our personal relationship its for both single divorced widowed and married its all for the glory of God we are here not for myself or ourselves. Gods people often walk alone full of Gods presence
I still want to have a gospel discussion especially on The teachings of Paul Ephesians and Romans the other books from These are the foundations of the gospel I wanna have a discussion because some of what you talk about is in correct lack of knowledge I have studied these books with my degree in religious studies I wanna go one by one through these books and discuss the gospel principles in the fullness and hopefully open up a decent discussion on these books Paul is hard to understand do you also have to go back to Isaiah understand the teachings
Hot take: you spent way too much time recapping the previous three myths. It would have been better to give a quick recap, and recommend the listener go back and listen to the episode. That way, you could have spent more time talking about the three more myths Christian women believe.
Alma Gordon no you don’t. You can not love yourself and still love other people. That’s like saying you need to love this person before you can love another person. They are two different people.
Alma Gordon, actually the Biblical standard is to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Christ. If we love our life, we will lose it, Jesus said. We identify with Jesus in His death (we died when He died), and when He arose, we arose to walk in newness of life. What’s most important is to receive God’s love, then we can love others with the love that He “sheds abroad in our hearts.” ❤️ It’s His love overflowing to others.
You already love yourself. This is the problem. Its way too much its sinful. Its called your pride. Your ego. The only reason you believe you must love yourself first is because you hate yourself because you didnt live up to your own standards and ended up condemning yourself. This is why we need God. God alone justifies us.
The first 'myth', 1st John 3: My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. Condemn: From G2596 and G1097; to note against, that is, find fault with: - blame, condemn. If we're capable to condemn ourselves, aren't we capable of forgiving ourselves? Honesty Allie, if you want your theology to be on par you need to pick subjects that can't be contradicted through the Scriptures.
Allie wasn't contradicted by scripture. In fact, you are contradicting yourself. If you read the verse again it says, of our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our heart. Therefore what is the cure for self condemnation? God Himself is the cure because of His grace NOT self-forgiveness.
Don't Whip The Horse, these are great verses. They don’t contradict what Allie said. They have to do with having a clear conscience before God-receiving His forgiveness. Our hearts can condemn us, but God is greater than our hearts: When HE has reconciled us to Himself through what Christ did on the cross, then we can have confidence (of being forgiven).
My favorite thing about this channel is that you aren't promoting the feel-good, "you go girl" sentiment that has infiltrated both the secular and religious worlds. Exactly. The only wages we've earned is death, through our sin.
Grace means to give someone what they don’t deserve.

"But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips.”
Job 2:10 ESV
Concentrate on the blessing, keep a grateful heart, and pray to be confirmed to His will. I pray He gives you comfort and peace no matter the outcome.
What a good word. Glad I listened. Sad to here about these myths. There is only One Truth.
Love this❤️❤️ Thanks for being visible for Christ.
Allie, you should do a video with Melissa Dougherty, Doreen Virtue and Chris Roseborough.

Allie- 24 year old female college student here.😊
I have faithfully listened to this podcast👌🏻 for almost 2 years now.
I wish I had the time to type my entire testimony out here in this comment but long story short:
I am becoming Catholic!
It*=his life
Welcome home! I’m very excited for you! I came from the Baptist Church 12 years ago. Best decision ever. Don’t worry about the people who have misconceptions etc. My prayer is to be a bridge to show that we’re all Christians (Christ followers) who have more in common than not.
@@MansterBear the Bible tells us to pray to the Father in the name of Jesus.
Love the video!!! Your microphone stand looks nice and sturdy!
How did you get this smart at such a young age? You're awesome. Keep seeking God in everything ❤️

GOOD VID! Some of these lies I never heard before! Also, great job breaking down the lie on Grace.
Ally Beth: you done went from preaching to meddling!!
😂😂😂
Go, Allie!
1 Corinthians 10:23
"I have the right to do anything," you say--but not everything is beneficial.
Well done, Allie!
This is good stuff!! Wow! Thank you!!
If I sin then shame should be in my heart, a remorse for what I have done, if I seek the lord for forgiveness, he cleanses my heart from all unrighteousness, when this occurs, shame is removed for my heart, and I have no shame, I have peace due to the power of Gods forgiveness,
if I look at my past sins then I should not be ashamed of any of them, that is, an emotional content, a spiritual content of my heart, but I do not then remove the truth that it was sin, so if I stole many years ago, I do not look at this and feel shame now, because I have been forgiven, my heart is cleansed,
the forgiveness of God is not to have shame in one's heart for the sin which I have committed, once I have been forgiven,
Paul does not look and his past self when he was Saul and feel great remorse and sorrow and pain in his heart because of Shame, he lives in perfect peace, because this is the power of Gods forgiveness, to recognise a truth is one thing, but to live in shame all your life with the things you've done is another,
people who live in shame in this way, have not known the forgiving power of the Christ, repent to the Christ and he will remove the shame in your heart, and bring you into perfect peace.
Considering covering the Christmas myth and how it's not mentioned in Scripture.
*courent
Diana Skene They were sinless but not complete without their Creator. Our need for our Creator remains because we are not enough. God is.
Please have Dr Michael Heiser on your show ! He is a Biblical Scholar , he would explain why Paul says we will judge angels
People do need to love themselves before loving others but what they miss is that we need to love ourselves as God does. God gave us His love, or what most call law, by putting His love in our heart. This come from not understanding God's love, His heart.
Psalms 119:151
Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.
Jesus is The Word, John 1:1-5
The Word God spoke: Exodus 20:1
The Word God wrote: Deuteronomy 4:13
and The Word God made flesh John 1:14. He is our example of The Trinity. He is The Law that hung on the cross and The Law that is written in the heart.
Psalms 40:7
Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me
Hebrews 10:7
Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
We are all in the same boat, all in need of one kind or another and the only way we can help others is to first help ourselves.
good work!!
fantastic!!!!!
Outstanding!!!
Awesome video!
Do an interview with James White!
Wise words.
I can’t find the first video :(

God bless!
So hilarious to hear projections on the cusp of 2020.
Hebrews 12.15 see to it that NOONE misses out on the Grace of God.. that includes yourself
I’ve got to know!!! Why will we be judging Angels?
Shame pushes us away from god. Conviction draws us closer to him
My Abba Jehovah and Jesus Christ has been my favorite best counselor He's healed me from alot .He's healed me from being raised in a sexually abusive alcoholic home no therapist could dig deeper Jesus is the well that never runs dry .
I can't find episode 69
Check out the Bible app. It has really helped me read more. God bless.

One way for a man to love himself is to love his wife😀
This sounds super nit picky bc I’ve never seen these phrases used in the contexts you’re commenting on.
Luke Ontiveros expound, please. Which phrases, which contexts?
Right at the 7 mintute mark... What if you are a reprobate?
Wondering if you have heard Mo Isom and if so your opinion?
Hot take: you spent way too much time recapping the previous three myths. It would have been better to give a quick recap, and recommend the listener go back and listen to the episode. That way, you could have spent more time talking about the three more myths Christian women believe.
Well I am glad she presented them the way she did. I needed to hear them in depth.
As crestons wife God is the best counselor so is His only begotten Son Jesus Christ
If the Holy Spirit said it I believe it. But I think you're amazing. Probably smarter than five men smushed together.
8:40 you are completely wrong! You most certainly have to love yourself before you love others. And that is the biblical standard.
Alma Gordon no you don’t. You can not love yourself and still love other people. That’s like saying you need to love this person before you can love another person. They are two different people.
Dynamite Fresh oh lol ok. Well thanks anyway
#Thrift2020
My goal for 2020 is getting 100 commie scalps. And I want my scalps.
You lost me at “read the bible more”
Why? It's the word of God.
The Bible is not for everyone, it's for those who are chosen by God.
Jesus loves you
The first 'myth', 1st John 3:
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
Condemn:
From G2596 and G1097; to note against, that is, find fault with: - blame, condemn.
Our hearts condemning us is the implication of our sins. Try to read the bible on a God-centered perspective and not on a self centered one.
