I'd like to see a tutorial on how to paint orange armor without having to use Contrast paints
I'm asking this since I'd like to try out painting up some Orange Space Marines sooner or later and I'd like to use a combination of stippling and drybrushing for a quick and simple orange armor scheme

@@ChaseDaOrk3767I do briefly talk about this in my Orange video, I’d probably start from a red basecoat and just build it up from there - circular motions on curved surfaces, and take my time to get a smooth finish.

What an interesting technique. Luckily when building terrain I don’t have to be so detailed with dry brushing. But your video shows how well it works.

Dry brushing is great on terrain, I’ve got a video on how to use oils for really quick terrain if you’re interested (on my channel) and I dry brush in that too

@@cat_or_rabbit Sorry. I should have been lit clear. I don’t know if you need to be so meticulous when dry brushing terrain. But maybe I am wrong; I will go find your video.

When it comes to scenery I’d probably not worry too much about a smoother finish if it’s suppose to look a bit beat up, for buildings with lots of flat surfaces I’d damp the bristles, but that’s just me and it really depends what you’re going for

I always just wanted chilled videos that people could enjoy, I used to play guitar/bass but I cut my index finger off on my left hand and it severed the nerve endings and I’ve got no feeling in it, I gave up as I couldn’t feel if I was holding the string down. Great video. Do you wash your drybrushes off after using them? Ive tried rinsing my dry brushes off in my water cup (which would have paint in it) and it ends up making my nice army painter dry brushes get very stiff.

I only clean my brushes when I’m done with drybrushing, if you need to clean them, exactly what @minacarina7671 said, however a good alternative is just a hand soap bar with is moisturizing (something like dove) I’ve been using it for a while and and it cleans the paint off really good and keeps the shape.

    'Anything can be a drybrush'
    Your instructions are unclear.
My wife is not happy with you after that. I picked her up, turned her upside down, and tried to use her Barnet as a drybrush.
Still, I did discover that her ginger hair (she is a day walker ginger; red hair, but able to develop a lovely tan when the British sunshine stays around long enough) makes for excellent terrain tufts. However, she now has to guard her bonce so I don't sneakily cut bits off... I'm obviously joking; I will shave it all off while she sleeps 😂
