Xpedition Xlite 29 Set Up

The Xpedition Xlite 29 has arrived for testing. This is the 7th of 8 hunting bows that will be part of the 2024 ArcheryTalk Hunting Bow Shootout.

I hope the Mach 30 makes it into the review this year. The Expedition and the PSE were my top two picks for this year

Sadly, I couldn't get anybody at PSE to respond to me this year (or last year). This year I have bows from Mathews, Hoyt, Bear, Bowtech, Elite, APA, Xpedition, and Prime. It's the most I've ever had in for testing at once.

On these cams, you can't over rotate them so you can play with the mods and stops a bit. Set the mod to 29.5 and leave the stops at 30 and it will give it a large valley and around 90% letoff. I find that I like how it feels better that way.

I love bows wt a 30 ata or around there I have a 28.5 draw. And those bows just work great for me.

My preference is 32-33 ATA, but I can definitely see the appeal of shorter bows.

I would love to see a video of you putting on the rest, I tried for the first time with the same one and the rest launcher keeps creeping up

The issue I have with the rest is how the string that connects to the limb is tightened. It's set up so the as you tighten the screw, the string wants to loosen. You may be able to reverse that, but I haven't tried as I figured I should follow how it was set up out of the box. While I'm tightening down that screw, I have to pull on the loose end of the string quite firmly.

Another small bow company. Hope they don't close down to a patient copy of darton or pse? Athen archery made nice bows too but closed to Bowtech suing Athens over a copy right.

Speed comes with a very distinct cost. If I don’t feel that cost in the draw cycle, I start to get suspicious.
