Watching Clarke & Dawe always instilled hope in me that all is not lost as far as our country is concerned. Now there is only half of that hope left... What a character, what a wonderful and thoughtful human being we have lost in John Clarke.
Love this and I only discovered him yesterday :( Via a facebook group, New Zealand proud or something. Lived in NZ as a kid and moving from there to Europe was traumatizing. The man is hilarious, luckily there is a lot to be found online, still not so much of the Fred Dagg character. Apart from being funny he also seems like a very nice man. Hope his wife and family is okay....

John Clarke was simply a sheer comic genius. His best work was an Australian series on ABCTV called The Games, about organising the Sydney Olympics
