So if you can make a circle then you can make a wheel. And in a wheel the center hub can be integrated with the cables. And then it might be possible to make a variable rigidity wheel by changing the cable tension dynamically

Every time I see a tensegrity structure i am amazed by how just a bunch of "strings and sticks" can make a solid structure, even after learning the physics behind it it's still amazing!
    Also really great video!

    Thank you! Very understandable.
I like your design of the compression members: adjustability and ease of application. I like how you pre-configure the net of tension members, independently of the compression members.
Are the tension members made of Dyneema (UHMWPE) or the like?

The magic of tensegrity is "lost" when you make the structure too complicated. The "beauty" and the "wow factor" is the immediate feeling of awe of something being "flown" in the air without suspension. The complexity took all of that away.
