Really liked Slovakia's playstyle here, if they could keep that up then they should really come 2nd in the group. Romania seem unstoppable, but I guess Belgium could still pull something outta nowhere. We shall see!!! This group is certainly turning out to be much more hype than Group C lol.

I doubt Romania will beat Belgium. Anything is possible tho but lets be honest Belgium got extremely unlucky in their first match and a repeat is unlikely. This match could as well have ended 4-1 and if it was replayed 100 times Belgium probably wins it 95+ times.
Also Romania was good, but looking unstoppable ? nah, Ukraine was the worst team yet in this euro.
I still think Belgium is the best team in this group. but anything goes in these tournaments. there is always upsets.
I don't think Belgium would fair well against a stronger side like France, Spain, England etc tho without pulling a miracle so chances are they will get through the group stage and then get eliminated shortly after.
your analysis of the game is much more accurate then what we get to see from traditional media in belgium.
our midfield in the first half was non existent. we had 6 defenders on a line at the box and 3 offenders on a line at midfield with kdb swimming in front of it and no connection between defense and offence. it did create chances but was painful to watch and surely felt like a tactical blunder.
the renewal under tedesco for our team should have been in the offence and less in the defense, in my opinion. we keep holding on to lukaku when we have talent like openda, bakayoko and de ketelaere.
anyway, Slovakia also performed very well. they held like lions, made us dig deep and earned this one!
Belgian here, I think starting Carrasco at LB is a drunk decision, De Cuyper should always have started, Doku on the left wing was way better, midfield was not organized at all, defence deserves some credit for such youn inexperienced players. Was sad to see everything had to go through KDB who could not carry all the weight. But most importantly i'm very dissappointed with the officiating.. so much bad/wrong calls, the handball ftom openda i can understand, but man was mid duel having to fight with his body for the ball, which caused the ball getting caught on his hand unfortunately. But if you blow for that handball, you should be consistent and blow the one in slovakia's box aswell. The ref was simply not good enough, too many bad calls. The goal to Slovakia was a mistake deservedly punished by Slovakia but Belgium deserved more 2nd half, 2 more matches, lets hope they learn form this and prove the haters wrong 🇧🇪👏

@@MichaelTalksFootball1 I personally don't think the defense is to blame, other than Doku's pass where Faes should reconsider his positioning (what actually never should've happened bc Castagne should've just thrown it to Faes imminently) Slovakia had two other good chances where Casteels made good saves and one of those saves fell into a Slovakian player who scored so I think they held off Slovakia's offense pretty well. Just on the ball they miss Theate or Verthongen who create different passing lines bc they're left footed

The first disallowed var goal was on Lukaku. How does a striker not know he's offside. He had plenty of time to take a step back. The missed chances are his signature move. The amazing part tho was, in 15 minutes it became apparent he had the pace to beat his defender, and Belgium still didn't manage to score. Even when Slovakia kept pressing high and leaving spaces behind.
Slovakia left tons of space for Lukaku Doku and Trossard and they couldn't capitalise

Tedesco really screwed this one up. we finally have a left back who's actually a leftback and left footed! first one in 20 years or so! and what does Tedesco do? put in carrasco! Genius! Decuyper in for carasco now! and leave Doku on the left side for crying out man.... doing stupid positional changes are no substitute for real tactics mister Tedesco. not fighting with courtois after 3 days together would have been a great too.
I can't believe this is the 4 coach in a row who's gonna mess up my country's team. We have had the talent for years now but there is just no coach able to make them look like the team they were ment to be.

I am sick of the Lukaku hate. He misses lots of chances mostly in big games. But scores also a lot of goals. His finishing might not be great every game but he keeps the ball well, he creates space for teamates and every team could use him on the field. He is still one of the better strikers at this tournament and all the other teams execpt France, Portugal and England could use a striker like him.

@@MichaelTalksFootball1 He did score twice. Just got unlucky wit the offside and handball. In the first half he missed 1or 2 chances but in the second half he was good he had good linkup play didn't miss any big chances and got unlucky with the offside and handball

@@MichaelTalksFootball1 Everyone focuses on him but i think that Trossard was way worse mist a hard shot at an open goal and was invicible and most of the plays and bakayoko should have scored his shot at goal that was cleared by the defender by taking less time. Lukaku was not bad. The problem the belgium team had was that the midfield wasn't able to provide a good link to the attack. You could see that on The Bruyne's Face. That's why I would have liked to see De Cuyper at LB as a person from Belgium. He is used to play that position. You could see Carrasco was afraid to make mistakes and didn't dare to make a more dangerous offensive pass just like the other defenders .Wich didn't help the Belgiums with creating oppertunities
@@MichaelTalksFootball1 Lukaku's problem isn't scoring in friendlies and qualifiers he scores a lot. I think he wants to prove the haters wrong and tries to force his play to much pressuring himself wich causes him to miss more and look stupid in the games wich matter the most when the world is watching. The way he looks also makes him an easy target. For example Kane was invicible, if Lukaku did that everyone would be talking about it

Slovakia got lucky, they won because of a blunder. Belgium should have won any day of the week, they would have if the turkish ref wasnt so one sided, (he didnt give a full on penalty, disallowed two goals of which one valid, wasnt consistent with his yellow cards.) go back, watch the replays and debate me on it.

Man, he was the first good referee of the competition. The first Lukaku goal is invalid, on the second one the ball is clearly deviated by Openda and there wasn't even a controversial penalty situation.
On the yellow cards, that was an absolutely normal game except for the Lukebakio one maybe.

Lukaku's second goal shouldve counted because openda was pushed into the ball, the contact there for was unintentional. The rules state that ''If an accidental handball by a player other than the goalscorer occurs in the build-up to a goal, the goal should stand as long as the handball did not create an immediate goal-scoring opportunity.''
To end of, the (lack off) yellow cards iam referring to is similar tackles by both teams within minutes of eachother, not being punished the same way.
