We live 20 minutes away from the stadium. When i saw the game on TV and it was raining in Frankfurt there was still sunshine at my place. Thanks to the tv stream i knew i had to close all the windows in about 10 minutes haha

It doesn't really matter that you won the group. You have the Dutch, which is not an easy opponent. Everyone had 4 points in the group, so everyone was equal.

@@apomalachel8787 Truth to be told, the spot does not matter that much as all future opponents are pretty tough. England, France and Netherlands are all pretty tough but we all need to play our chances and hopefully we can get through. In the perfect world, we meet again in the final.

So happy you decided to see this match and not the other one same hour. Our national stadium in Bucharest is copy-pasted after this one so on that day every romanian on the field and in the stadium felt like home and the lads brought the qualify home. The most underrated team at the Euro made everyone home proud ❤. Btw, when you see the name Hagi, that's Gica Hagi everyone is thinking of at first. Ianis, his son, still has to prove himself worthy of the legendary name.

ENG FAN HERE: theres no way teams trust eachother enough with the positioning and poss goal diff in teh group decidiing so much to allow a goal then hope the other team keeps up the 'agreement' esp if YOU made it (look at England this time and their route to the final vs if they finished 2nd aka Denmarks path, STARTING with Germany) we avoided Germany/Portugal/Spain/France - and - instead of netherlands in round of 16 we got arguable the best option aka Slovakia....too bad we ALWAYS play down to the level of our opponent but only in the tournaments when it matters, in qualifiers we'd win 5-0 prob cuz we actually experiment and play people like palmer/bowen/gordon etc
I was flying to Frankfurt but the storm made us redirect to Munich 😢

the reason its hard to believe in fixing a match is trust:
someone has to score first, how do you KNOW theres gonna be a way to create a goal to equal it/what if the other team is just like 'PSYCHE!' and keeps playing...you'd feel real dumb as a coach and it'd be your fault - usually one of the teams has incentive like a better side of the bracket/matchup in the next round
