So enjoyed this. I owned one which i pushed home because its owner had taken the motor apart because a piece of the barrel had broken off. Then I got a frame and sub-assembly, then another frame and motor. I was still at school and was only able to start restoring many years later but ended up selling the whole lot to an enthusiast.
Currently rebuilding a huntmaster H C 8 (which was an unexported Cyclone. ) Don't let anyone tell you they are an A10!!! I am growing to love the idiosyncrasies of this sweet machine after owning 4 A10s (2 of them RGS)
In my student days, a lovely Huntmaster, same colour as yours, used to park on campus. I had an old, 1961 3TA in dark blue at the time and the Ariel looked so good in it's deep red paint. I never found out who owned it but it looked classic next to the archway on the oldest building.
Good job training the next generation he will be a great mechanic in future
