You are a hidden gem of a fisherman UA-camr. I watched a single video, and from that one video, I'm going to have to binge watch your channel. You have so much respect for the fish, i love that. Great technique, and you're finding lots of interesting places to fish. Not a lot of people visiting these kind of fishing spots on YT.
It amazes me to know that the Japanese culture fell in love and adapted the art of bass fishing and fly fishing for trout. They have spent billions investing and bringing evasive species of American fish. And can manage the waterways and habitat of the fish a whole lot better than we can in our own country. I love watching stuff like this. You can definitely learn something . Way to go man
Omg I was trying to find your youtube for so long 😭. I was watching a chinese fishing competition and you came up on my suggestion I got so happy!! I love ur channel and ur videos the best editing I seen I can watch for hours!! You keep grinding my man
@@williamhelmer8631 Neither. Both fish are native to Japan. The first was a whitespotted char.(genus Salvelinus, same as our brook trout,) the second is a huge cherry trout, the biggest I've ever seen.
I was hiking in New Hampshire and I jumped over a small stream two feet wide, 6 inches deep. There was a large branch across the stream that made a small waterfall. In front of the falls were a 12 and 10 inches brown trout's. I had fresh trout for dinner. There was a small stream in a secluded valley in the catskill mountians where I grew up. This stream was a foot wide and full of 4 to six inch trout. They were almost black with hooked bottom jaws. Hardly any sun reached this stream, thick vegetation. We would catch and release.
Actually the waterway is not all that small....I've caught brook trout in Connecticut in Freestone and Springfed streams that were smaller (both width and depth)

how does one form that conclusion? This "habitat" is 100 percent concrete slough.....
Love that you show the fish after and the lure!! Just started following definitely a unique channel.

Cool video , interesting waterway
Lovely rainbow trout - a truly great catch! Seems like a lot of fishermen are somehow able to land great catches in some of the most unlikely places.
Not a rainbow, first trout was a Brown, 2nd one is a brook trout

Beatiful fish😁😁
Very nice fishing!💪
Perfect! The idea with the aquarium is new to me and it's wonderful. Is it acrylic?
Awesome. What type of trout were they? And how deep was the water in there?
@Ethan Roberts If he's fishing in Japan, it's probably their native species. Looked to be either Yamame or Amago to me.
めっちゃ久しぶりです!
これからも頑張ってください!

Stocked trout and still fun to catch. Keep the little 5 and 6 inch brokies they are native and taste great smoked with cherry or apple wood.
The hooked jaw is an indicator of a male trout also called a "kype" females have smaller heads and no Kyle at all
Did you free them??
What species of trout is that?
Out west we call that a fish ladder. How embarrassing 😳

As have I. A 13 inch Cutthroat for one in Mossyrock Washington, just a little trickle of a stream.
