Thousands had already forked yuzu before they shut down as well. Once it is on the internet, its always there. They shutdown the entire z library but all the books are still there, just under a different site name.
I understand it's about them making money but I played because Retroachievements. So Nintendo Playstation came up with a real solution. It's expensive to play with Nintendo online Playstation now and there aren't that many games, it's called AZ. 😂 Come with 60fps 16:9 and cheap prices., please. 😢

There's zero reason to be scared about the Yuzu situation. Even other emulators that earn income from them. The emulator devs choosing to take things down are doing this stuff they are just feeding into the fear mongering and giving Nintendo what they want. Yuzu devs are especially stupid by sharing the switch SDK. Anyone doing that would be sued regardless, even if they were a legit game studio and not emulation developers. That is why they got sued.

I remember hearing the AetherSX2 project just went to a halt after some arguments between the developer and users on discord but it was still up on the market so I got it then. -Luckily I still have the emulator on my phone because I play games on it from the comfort of being in bed ahahahha-
AetherSX2 has been dead for waaaaaaay long, the day the dev added in ads was the day people stopped supporting it. The fact it's off the playstore is nothing too big, it wasnt because of the recent situation but still-- Nether is what we need, and I hope someday they crack the closed source code and start doing some major improvements 🫡

The Nintendo Switch can STILL be bought in a real store, Nintendo probably wouldn't have sued Yuzu if it wasn't for that fact. And before you say anything about Citra, Yuzu cancelled that in a panic! They didn't have to shut down Citra because the 3DS was a dead system, but that's what fear will do to you.

here's a thought, nintendo could work with the yuzu team on the continued development of the emulator, charge people a one time fee to own the emulator and all future updates, then everyone can play nintendo switch games on their pc's as well, nintendo makes even more money, and everyone is happy.
