Hi Micael, this kind of video is the reason why I subscribed to your channel. I love it when you walk around, take photos, show the surroundings and talk about all sorts of things.
How I envy you you Micael, with such beautiful crisp and clean snow and wonderful scenary. Here in the UK the snow turns into slush and mud almost instantaneously. Out photowalking to find images for my Christmas cards is an excercise in speed and determination before it all reverts back to brown sludge. Keep walking my friend!
Haha, actually most winter days here in Stockholm is also either rain or brown sludge. It is only maybe 3-5 days per winter that are this beautiful! But in northern Sweden it looks like this more often in the winter.
This is one of my favourite lenses. Using it on a Fuji crop sensor. Image quality is just sublime and I really enjoy using the manual focusing even for moving subjects.
Micael, Great video, especially the images along with lake. Question, Exactly which lens were you using on your Sony? Thank you for your kindness and all the work you put into your passion.
Beautiful scenery you were walking through. For some of the shots why didn’t you try a vertical pano with enough overlap to work with in post? I would have like to see how those turned out. Thanks for another scenic walk that I will probably not get to see in person.
I could have done some vertical panos, but it didn't strike me during the actual walk. I only realised afterwards that I had enough photos to do a couple of panoramas.
Wonderful cold temperature shots. I think it is important to stress the importance of protecting electronic gear from condensation when returning indoors. I live in Vermont, USA, and I put my camera in a plastic bag when returning indoors from super cold temperatures. I also include a packet of silica dry desiccant. As you know, severe condensation can ruin electronics easily.
Nice walk Micael, beautiful scenes.I love those last few shots with the sun low behind the trees. What I would do for some snow and ice right now.Summer in Australia,it's 9am and 32c heading for 41c.
I assume you are aware of adapters for the manual EF lens you linked to include a short helical giving additional extension without destroying infinity focus. I don't know if these are available for Sony but it opened new opportunities for my EF Laowa 105 STM back in the flower season. Here, today, we just have dead leaves and rain which regularly defeats me no mater what the equipment. I am convinced that the old rule of using the shutter speed => focal length is dated by the super high rez sensors in current cameras. Today, I prefer 2-4x that to be safe. As pixels get smaller, safety margins get smaller. 61 is a lot of MP!
One more photo walk without a flash 😀 A 135mm Lens is often some of the sharpest Lenses among different focal length. I have the extreme sharp Sony 135mm 1.8 GM, but it is big and heavy, so now when I have the excellent Voigtländer Macro APO-Lanthar 110mm 2.5, I do not use the 135mm that often any more. I can very highly recommend the 110mm Lens from Voigtländer !
Very cool video!!! I love the panorama shot from the bridge the most! I guess you guys in Sweden took all the snow, bc we in The Netherlands got just a few flakes so far ;-) Your english is hi level btw
That was an awesome video, Micael! Love the light in Sweden at this time of year--so amazing. Your images are gorgeous, too. I see you're wearing Nike gloves and you're able to make camera adjustments with them. Can you let me know what kind/style they are? Thanks for your wonderful videos!
Солнце за деревьями в конце видео - очень красивое, мистическое фото! Поймать такой момент очень трудно. Панорама на мосту - такой атмосферный воздушный снимок. Замечательная прогулка, Micael!

Happy to hear that. I really enjoy making this kind of video.
A beautiful day out, some lovely images too. Thanks for uploading.

This type of scenery isnt every day even here. I do like the variety of getting proper seasons. Northern sweden gets alot more days with more snow.
Wonderful scenery, great photos. If FOV too narrow why not take overlapping shots and stitch them?

The sun dog 😊Missing the bus was fortuitous!
I've got the new 1.8; looking forward to seeing what I can do with it.
I loved this video. Just beautiful.
Thank you so much!

I am using the Samyang 135mm f/2 manual focus lens for Sony FE. There is also an autofocus version these days, but I’m using the older manual one.

Your gear reviews are excellent and have led to a couple of my purchases, but this type of video has to be my favourite.
Happy to hear that, because I love making this kind of video :)
Wow my new canon rf 100mm macro lens f2.8 is outstanding... the bokeh is incredible

Thanks Micael. If you use auto ISO, you won't have to worry about minimum shutter speed.
Great video. Is this shaper than the Loawa 90mm?
This is the sharpest lens I have ever used, so yes.
What a lovely video. Some of those low, sunlit shots of the trees were very beautiful. Thank you for sharing your time with us.
Gr8 stuff!

Wow that's a bit too hot indeed! I remember when I visited Sydney in the summer, and it was so hot in the day, we had to go up at 4 am to explore.
I am so jealous of the weather you have, all I got is rain lmao
Time to do some outdoor waterdrop macro photography 😄
@@MicaelWidell will do when it’s not too wet for my video camera 🤪
Stunning shots!
Thanks man!

Yeah I have helicoid adapters like that, but they don't do much difference on this focal length unfortunately. But they are great on wideangle lenses

I also own the Sony 135mm, probably my favorite portrait lens in the world! But sometimes it is more fun to just use a simple manual focus lens!

Thank you for the kind words. We have unusual amounts of snow this winter, which I am happy for :)
A lovely ending and lovely music
