After watching this I chose the pro 2 as my dedicated hunting light for its larger hotspot. The deer I’m hunting at night are 200m or less and I’d rather the buffer of the larger hotspot should my light get knocked while walking or something. Plus larger hotspot is easier to find animals when switching from the thermal to the light to take the shot. Cheers for the excellent video, it’s the only good one comparing the two directly that I found in my months of wondering what one to buy.
👍Great review. Even as a former hunter of many years the Pro-2 seems to me to be a better light, bigger Hotspot and more spill. The extra distance factor is moot, who hunts at night at 1000 meters 😉 🤣.

It would be interesting to know size of the hotspot in metres at 100m range on each. If using on a scoped rifle, the measurement would help a lot to choose the spotlight with the hotspot that most closely matches the field of view of your chosen scope - no dark around sides, no light wasted outside field of view.
I have the older now SR95S Intimidator (not produced anymore), it's a bit bigger. It's not for guns, but I wonder how it compares to Javelots. Thx for your review.

Dammit just ordered the turbo now ama have to have both. Luckily i can find them pretth cheap for just over 100 bucks so im not crying.

Not in Australia but I rarely hear about someone taking a shot more than 100 yards (91 meters) away.
When you say 5 mins at turbo what does it mean? Overheating or battery?

You say that on the turbo it lasts 10 mins on turbo setting. What happens at 10 mins? Does it turn off? When can you turn it back onto turbo?
No it just steps down to another level. I mention that in the video.

Either is a solid option. Nitecore has more modes like the SOS so that is cool i think
