Thanks, just came across your channel by looking at reviews and such on this light. I just got mine today and was just looking around for operating tips, and things like that. I have several other Olights, and LOVE them. I have some rural property which is why I wanted to get this light. Can't wait to use it up there! And yes, like you say, this light is QUALITY. I thank Olight for putting out lights like this for a fraction of the price that others offer. It's not ANY less quality than any "American" brand of light.
I bought the Warrior X Turbo a couple of months ago and it like holding the sun in my hand. I also bought 2 Javalot Pro 2 for my boys. Unbelievably bright.
Curious how this cuts through the water compared to the Marauder 2 (14k Lumens) for bow fishing. The Marauder 2 is great for lighting up the water. Not sure if the throw on the Javelot would cut through the water or just reflect off. Hard to tell in the video let me know which one you prefer for spotting fish at night thanks!
I just sold my Javelot pro had it for about three years. Still worked great. Just had a couple scratches in the paint from dropping. Lol. But I’m looking to get the newer version. But I’m deciding between this and the nitecore p35i. I love with Nightcore did with that. But I’m nervous if I’m going to get let down because the spot beam has no spill but you can use the mixture of both but it is about $100 more than this and I know I won’t be let down with this.
@@GhidulDslr yeah it's pretty big, I have the m2x that has the same glass and is the same size and after a few years and alot of use it has still has no marks
The wind was blowing straight of the water yeah a bit choppy, I was going to go where I normally do the torch vids but it's under water, the Murray is super high at the moment.
I do a lot of hiking in the woods, and during the winter months, night comes early. I own several Olight products... Freyer, Warrior X, Warrior Pro, etc. I usually use my Freyr for hiking. But am considering the Javelot for extended night time hiking. Is the Javelot too big for hiking? Or is is "ok" hanging off the belt?
It's pretty big on the belt but it depends on the person as to is it to big or not, the warrior x turbo is a great compromise with similar throw in a smaller package
I'm not a hunter....but I was just thinking....using any light of any power....would that not just alert your "prey""??? :) HERE I AM!! :)) Deer runs away....heh....maybe you could explain why you'd want this light on a rifle. :) I'm vaguely interested in flashlights....is why I came across your vidoe....not randomly trolliing people out of boredom...heh... ALso I was urious to know what kind of candela's the other modes put out....L/M and H
well mine arrived today there was a problem I sent them a email cause they do answer the phone then after repeated emails no resolve just being straight up here
Great review, very interested in these guys products. Do you think you could use this light as a replacement for a hunting spotlight like a Lightforce etc? Often do a bit of spotlighting from the ute, usually out for a few hours, but was considering one of these as a “modern” replacement, that would also be useful for those dusk hunt walks where it gets dark on you and you know you’re targets are still there you’re just unable to see them.
I have a small 170 lightforce spotlight and I don't use it any more, the javelot is brighter and shines further. You would need to buy extra batteries for the javelot if you were spotlighting for the whole night.

Nice. I love my olight torches. I have many, but not a javlot. Looks good Daz. Might have to ad another to the collection.
I use the javelot torchs the most of all my olights, I rate them highly as a hunting light.

I think a broad beam would be better over water as a thrower with the tight spot sort of blows my vision out

It's an anti reflective glass, it seems very strong
