Gabriel Martinelli’s goal, right at the start of the second half, was enough for Arsenal to earn all three points from a dominant, if not full-flowing, performance at the King Power Stadium.
The Brazilian - back into the starting line up - latched onto a wonderful Leandro Trossard pass before squeezing his shot home.
Trossard himself thought he had given us the lead in the first half, only for the goal to be ruled out for a foul on the goalkeeper after a VAR review.
It was a well deserved win, on an afternoon when we restricted the home side to just one shot, and takes us five points clear at the top, before Man City’s game later in the day.

Did you see how Ndidi stamped on him for no reason? That should have been at least a booking for him. But he got away with it because they only care about what can go against Arsenal

Btw I’m gutted for Trossard, he scores the winning goal against Brentford but then they manage to equalise a goal that should’ve been ruled off as offside. Now he scores a beautiful goal and it gets ruled out for the bare minimum. The assist was magical though! What a bargain he is, absolute baller. Love him 🫶🏽!! And imagine how tired we all are of these refs and VAR, trying their best to stop us.
Look carefully..Ben white was holding the GK hand. You cannot do that 😅😅, it's a foul. He's genius though, I almost missed it too

That Saka goal should have gone to VAR to check whether Martinelli was truly offside, rather than just call it offside. Saka should have had a penalty and Trossard's goal should have stood. Ndidi should also have been booked for stamping on Martinelli. But thank God we still came out with 3 points despite all the major decisions going against us.
Watch again, White is holding the keeper's right hand. That's why he couldn't hold the ball.
@@kaffelatte2 Said this to another person but I understand that it’s a foul, any contact on the keeper is a foul right but how come when Ramsdale was getting manhandled by Kamara (which was worse) earlier this season, then it's a perfectly fine goal. And then Saka should’ve had a penalty bare minutes after. This is the issue, we want consistency, & lately a lot of calls have incorrectly gone against us, which matters (especially in a title race). It’s absurd!

It’s crazy that Martinelli was the only player who got booked during this game for the bare minimum too especially when Leicester players did the same more and less and ended up not getting booked. How they’ve got no yellow cards is beyond me. For instance, we had two yellow card challenges on Xhaka within 1 minute yet no yellow card shown. The inconsistency is insane. But either ways, yes thankfully we still came out with 3 points. I think questions should still be asked regarding these calls, all we ask for is consistency.
@@mayred0101 You're completely right, but White did still commit a foul. There's a lot to complain about the refereeing on this game, but that goal shouldn't have stood, and it was the correct call. Consistency is what we wish for, though.
Jorginho and Troussard are superb, both fit in well in the team. Jorginho was important to slow the game down when leicester were pressing. Also his passing is so nice.

Starting Trossard allowed Martinelli to play better.(Not saying Nketiah shouldn’t start) But it clearly helped us and helped Martinelli switch easily from LW to St whenever he sees the opportunity. Unlike having Nketiah playing with Martinelli.. Well played Trossard..

@@JuiKuen Fans are so fickle. Two weeks ago all I could read is how when Jesus comes back, Nketiah should remain as a starter. Nketiah is still our main striking option, Trossard is a good player, but he can't win the ball and hold up play as a centre forward. Nketiah can do that

So VAR meticulously spots Ben White holding Ward, but turns a blind eye when Saka was pulled to ground? This is getting ridiculous. Kudos to the team for winning and keeping a clean sheet intact. Jorginho seems a bit shaky at times but he's played some really impressive passes, so I am pretty sure he's only going to get better! All in all, it's another solid gameweek!

The referees were trying hard to disallow Arsenal's goals. It can be 0-3 for Arsenal, with Trossard's goal was incredible! Anyways, grateful for the win and always keep humble. We focus game by game.

The goal Trossard created and scored for himself had nothing to do with the incident between Ben White and the keeper. The "hand grabbing" did not lead to a goal and it did not affect the Keeper's ability to defend his goal. I find it ridiculous how they cancelled that. That should of only been cancelled if the goal was scored in the same phase of play which did not occur.

If an opponent is grabbing his one hand, that's impeding and a foul, period. In this case, if his hand wasn't held keeper could've grabbed the ball or punched it with a lot more power, the ball couldn't have reached Trossard that quickly. VAR had made the right decision. There were few instances in the past were VAR robbed gunners a few points with bad decisions but not this time

Trossard scored a stunning goal, and they went right away to investigate all possible points of contact to make sure it didn't count. Remember Douglas Luiz's goal. Then Saka was legitimately tripped in the penalty area, but not even a VAR review was called. Arsenal is the target of extreme bias.

Trossard goal should have stand, if this kind of similar situations happen anybody could have complain about it and avoid the goal. It is two different situations between Ben White challenge and Trossard's goal. The goal keeper already punch the ball outside of the pinalty area, it is another player efforts to put the goal in. Saka challenged should get a pinaltyas well, Var even didn't wanted to go and double check it for the review and just let it pass by just like that. FA is so corrupted week in week out gosh.
The goal keeper hand was held by White, that's impeding. Otherwise, keeper could've grabbed the ball or punched it with a lot more power, the ball couldn't have reached Trossard that quickly
