- Dutchman Arne Slot is expected to become the new Liverpool FC manager and it's hardly surprising he speaks good English.

I don't want him but I agree speaking fluent English if we do get him is a huge advantage, only a fool would think otherwise.
In Slot We Trust at Feyenoord so we're sad to see him go. But he deserves it and we thank him for the last three years which were something else. I've never seen Feyenoord play better than the way we did in the last three years (since 1988, my first home match attending). He will be missed. Thankfully he's on his way to Liverpool, my favourite club outside of The Netherlands. Support him, you won't be disappointed.

As a Dutchman and Feyenoord supporter I can say that Slot is a great coach and communicator who can make players better. He's the best Dutch manager since LVG. I like Liverpool and although I'm sad that Slot is leaving us, at least he's going to a great 'people's' club, that is very much comparable to Feyenoord. He'll be doing great! Off pitch he's just as good as on pitch, ask any player who worked with him... the guy is seriously talented, and gets the best out of every player.
You should see watch his speech in the Arena after the match against Ajax last season.
Maybe the best coach Feyenoord ever had, hope he will concede his success in Liverpool, and for sure I’ll support this great club Liverpool weekly.
I've always admired the Liverpool fans' support for their manager. Kinda sad that Klopp didn't win more trophies. I'm a Real Madrid fan and I still wouldn't have minded if they had won one of those CL finals. Especially the first one which Ramos ruined with his act.
The best thing that ever happened to Feyenoord, I'm 42 years old and I've never seen them play as good as last 3 years. Also the beef with Simeone & Mourinho was interesting to see, they were annoyed by his skills and Feyenoord's strong play. Like many people from Rotterdam I am a dedicated Liverpool Supporter, Im sure he will do great and you guys will love him. Not easy to follow up Klopp but I think he will do great. Cheers!
Don't say he's the best thing that ever happened to Feyenoord, when your only 42 years old. For example you missed Happel, Coerver, who became champions and won a Europacup 1 and a UEFAcup. Even van Marwijk won a Uefacup.

Slot his strength has been his amazing capacity to play beautiful high pression football and buying players that fits perfectly into that system , i see a lot of people hating without even knowing him but with a budget that Liverpool has I'm 95% he will succeed. ETH is a whole different trainer , slot has always been different. His playstyle is way more advanced and 99% of the Netherlands loved watching his tactics and adaptability. I have seen people say stuff about his lack of leadership and charisma but i think 100% of the Netherlands can agree that the way he speaks and present himself is pure class and leadership.
I think Slot will easily succeed at Liverpool so stop trying to talk smart if u have no idea what coach he is!
People actually compare him with Guardiola because of how smart he and his team behind him is.

This man is so good at communicating and in good English, the press can expect answers of 3 minutes with detailed explanations. And always with a smile and has an answer to everything. He will surprise you

It's a very different football style compared to Klopp's idea, but maybe the right next evolution step, and hopefully a nicer person than Tuchel, who successfully followed him twice before, too.
Still, you'll always miss Kloppo, no matter how much games you win afterwards, that's a Dortmund fan speaking from experience.

Dutch and English are very similar languages if you listen to Dutch you can pretty much listen and decipher which word it is in English.
I think this guy will be a good coach for us. He seems to be successful in every team he's in
Would be sad to see him leave at our beloved Feyenoord, a club who was in need of a man with vision. Slot made Feyenoord re-enter the mainstage in the Dutch League. Feyenoord fans re-joyed due to Arne. Slot would suit Liverpool well and we wish him the best. I hope he will join Liverpool but he could also run a club like Barcelona. Don't under-estimate Arne Slot.

Speaks well, I'll be honest I know f all about him, but will support his ideas, hope he can get the players running through walls again, showing some grit.

His style of play is great in the farmers league Netherlands, what's to be seen is if he can transfer it to the premier league, Dutch managers have never had a good time in England

@@faustino974well dont be surprised if he is the first one to break this record. He is the one that can make something out of nothing. Of course the level in the PL is different but with better players he could reach far. If the at least the players want to adopt his style. Its very demanding and “stars” are not always willing to deliver when it comes down to dirty work, pressing the opponent and hunting them down 90 minutes on the pitch.
As a lifetime Feyenoord fan I hate to see him go - but he deserves it and I wish him the absolute BEST with you guys at Anfield.
This is a smart, stubborn, well spoken, EXTREMELY meticulous (yet team-player) coach that will
a) get along perfectly fine with all the usual pressure (off pitch) that comes from being at one of the greatest clubs in the world.
b) get along perfectly with the "powers to be" within overal club management.
c) get along with the players because of his honest and clear communication. None of that ETH weirdness in him at all.
Klopps´ boots are certainly hard to fill but I have absolute fath that your new leader will get sh*t done and improve Liverpool even further!
I respect your comment, ludo. As a Liverpool supporter I trust the club to make the right decisions. I for one, will support him and give him a chance to be successful. I wish other people would as well. The man hasn't even had a training session, and these muppets seem to be writing him off before he's even step foot on the training ground.
He has made a big impression at Feyenoord in the last 3 years with 2 prizes. He makes players better, they are much fitter. He always has his say in the media and is very intelligent in his answers. When Slot is thinking, he usually picks his ear or nose or first takes a sip of water.
Too bad he's leaving us, but I hope you have fun. I wish all the fans of Liverpool great succes the next season.

What suprises me is he even speaks English in the dressing room of a Dutch club.
Maybe that's just because Trauner, Hancko and Gimenez are from Austria, Slovakia and Mexico. It is rare these days to see a club team at Europa League or Champions League level where more than 50% are from the home country. What surprises me is Slot's humanity and sympathy with the opponent. He is Klopp's cosmic brother.

Feyenoord fan here, he is not like Ten Hag at all. DOesnt mean he will be a great fit for liverpool but giving him no chance because he is Dutch and bald just like ten hag is not fair.

Him vs ten Hag is basically De Klassieker (Feyenoord vs Ajax, Netherlands' 2 most successful clubs, kinda like El Clasico in Spain and Der Klassiker in Germany) but in England, and coincidentally it's between 2 of England's most successful clubs that hate each other

The most important thing about Slot needs to be that he is a very very good coach. He doesn't have to have the grand father personality of Jurgen because its actually not necessary. Jurgen has things about him that are not necessarily needed to make us a winning team. Id prefer a good coach who maybe has more ideas than even Jurgen, than the personality of Jurgen. I like the look of Arne. We have Edwards and Hughes to run the club. Arne just needs to be a more expansive version of Pep Lijnders.

He is confident in his body language and intonation. English is not his first language but he is very intelligent and will improve quickly. Besides, never understood Sir Alex Ferguson without subtitles either. I’m Dutch so that says a lot but mostly managers from Italy, Spain etc coming new in the BPL are even harder to understand in English than Slot here? He is better than Ten Hag in his leadership and I am an Ajax supporter. Even we are very impressed by his work. Liverpool is a beautiful club, I really hope this will be a great match. The Dutch need some extra influence on world football because we are not the force we once were.

He gives me Klopp vibes in the open way he speaks and his confidence in doing so, very different from the cold and calculating character of someone like Ten Hag. I've never broken up with a woman, as I married the love of my life I started dating in High School, but I do feel Klopp leaving us will be as close as I get. And while it'll hurt, I choose 2 things. Im going to cherish Klopps time with us, and I choose to be very excited about our new gaffer. I like the way he sets up his teams and trust Edwards to bring in the right man. CL next season, we can really do some damage if our lads buy in.
