This is what I envisioned when Hercules fought the Maestro the 2nd and last time....with Maestro and Hercules being more evenly matched in strength but with Herc still coming out on top by virtue of superior fighting experience.

Strength for strength should be counted but, after that it should be fighting ability; tactics, adjustments, etc. Hulk is just a brute, and he would take the case only cuz if the fight lasted long. Herc, Ares, Sentry and any other powered beings should able able to fight Hulk head-on, but the longer the fight, ultimately the Hulk prevails.

Greek and Romans mostly copied all the Egyptian gods and their gods in turn are most likely based of real people/ humans. Because they match the hebrew depiction of Adam & Eve and their children very pretty accurately and even have matching names. Admittedly Greek Gods are a way bigger mess and often combine various stories and legends into one character and make a bigger "mess" of it all then some older mythologies. But of course even the egyptians ended up worshipping humans or spirits as gods and later also made a big mess of it but not as big as the greeks or romans I'd say. (Scandanavian, Germanic, Native American, Chinese also all seem less messy but of course it gets messier over time) But sure as a fictional character you can make Ares as Strong or as Weak as you like. All I was saying is that it's kind of weird that the writers would make the "god of war" this weak. But suppose a human exist whom ares was based on... in a fair fight? I doubt you'd win because the average modern human has kind of devolved compared to our ancestors. Over several pages!!! Hulk only lost because he got weak because he was seperated from Banner.

First off, Gamma radiation gave you super powers. Ok fine. ill buy into it. You can absorb solar radiation and use it to boost your powers? Ok, i'll buy into it. What I dont buy into is that both Bruce Banner and Clark Kent when not supercharged are human level. Bruce has no strength, and if Clark was drained of all the suns power, he'd be human level too as we've seen countless times when Luthor beats the hell out of him. So, Kryptonians and Bruce Banner are human level. So the problem is that absorbing even the tiniest amount of sunlight gives Superman the power to HOLD A BLACK HOLE? FLY SO FAST HE CAN REWIND TIME? OUTSPEED THE SPEED FORCE? OVERPOWER AN ACTUAL GOD? And for Hulk all he has to do is get kinda peeved and now suddenly he can defeat THE GOD OF WAR and THE PRINCE OF POWER. Its just ridiculous. Hulk, known as Worldbreaker Hulk at one point, can shatter a planet. He can go toe to toe with Thor albeit Thor holds back, still theres no reason why a little gamma radiation should take a human and make him 50 quintillion times stronger. And, A kryptonian, again, is only human level, its the sun that gives them the super powers. So with the tiniest bit of sunlight Superman goes from human level to being strong enough to beat Darkside. Its ridiculous. Their powers were realistic back when their first comics came out with Superman being faster than a speeding bullet and able to overpower a train, jump over a building. Hulk could throw tank and tank tanks. Fine. But cracking planets? Holding black holes? Surviving a star? Beating Gods in tests of strength? Its just ridiculous. In dragonball z, Goku had always gotten stronger through training, and there was a reason given for every single jump in power. No such explanation was ever given for why hulk and superman have "unlimited power" despite being human level characters. Goku, eventually, gains the power where he goes from being a solar system buster to being a universe breaker. Thats a ridiculous jump if you look at the size of the universe and run some calculations using NASA data the jump Goku gets from End of Z to Start of Super is fucking insane. From barely surviving Buu to matching Beerus is ridiculous. But they gave an explanation. He performed a ritual of divinity that elevated him to God Class Strength. There you go. An explanation. You can disagree with the logic but at least they gave a reason and have been consistent about it. Hulk and Superman on the other hand are human level characters who have unlimited strength for no fucking reason and they keep getting stronger because "hulk always mad" and Superman has "unlimited potential". Why should I ever care about hulk or superman? They never struggle. they will always be immortal and will always be strong enough to win any fight. Goku however, lost to Krillin. Lost to Tien. Lost to Roshi. Lost to Vegeta. Lost to Ginyu. Lost to 19. Lost to Cell. Lost to Buu. Lost to Beerus. Lost to Jiren. Fuckin Goku has lost more fights than he's won and they actually give a reason why his power keeps growing. @@kenb2671 hard to say on one point. First yes, compared to DC Ares he's a joke. But DC Ares has a number of very low showings. It's hard to say sometimes how powerful he really is. He varies from Skyfather (low/mid) to herald (mid).

This is false. Hercules was holding back, because he didn’t want to kill Banner and the fight ended with him about to finish the Hulk off. That wasn’t a clear win for him, because he didn’t fight alone. But that’s very different from the Hulk soloing the Avengers.

You know That feat never made since to me anyhow, as impressive as it is Like, what’s hercules supposed to be holding the heavens off of? What happens if the heavens fall? Assuming the heavens can be equated to the universe there’s nothing to really fall into. He’s also holding it like it’s a flat surface and not some mass that surrounds him at every corner.
In any case, if we must assume he held the weight of the universe, that’s not exactly something hulks never dealt with before.

lot of people realy like hulk because he's so over the top strong but this is the exact reason i hate the hulk and superman as characters. their powers dont make any sense. not like -any- powers make sense, but these 2 have powers that -really- make no sense.
First off, Gamma radiation gave you super powers. Ok fine. ill buy into it.
You can absorb solar radiation and use it to boost your powers? Ok, i'll buy into it.
What I dont buy into is that both Bruce Banner and Clark Kent when not supercharged are human level. Bruce has no strength, and if Clark was drained of all the suns power, he'd be human level too as we've seen countless times when Luthor beats the hell out of him. So, Kryptonians and Bruce Banner are human level.
So the problem is that absorbing even the tiniest amount of sunlight gives Superman the power to HOLD A BLACK HOLE? FLY SO FAST HE CAN REWIND TIME? OUTSPEED THE SPEED FORCE? OVERPOWER AN ACTUAL GOD? And for Hulk all he has to do is get kinda peeved and now suddenly he can defeat THE GOD OF WAR and THE PRINCE OF POWER. Its just ridiculous. Hulk, known as Worldbreaker Hulk at one point, can shatter a planet. He can go toe to toe with Thor albeit Thor holds back, still theres no reason why a little gamma radiation should take a human and make him 50 quintillion times stronger. And, A kryptonian, again, is only human level, its the sun that gives them the super powers. So with the tiniest bit of sunlight Superman goes from human level to being strong enough to beat Darkside.

Their powers were realistic back when their first comics came out with Superman being faster than a speeding bullet and able to overpower a train, jump over a building. Hulk could throw tank and tank tanks. Fine. But cracking planets? Holding black holes? Surviving a star? Beating Gods in tests of strength? Its just ridiculous.
In dragonball z, Goku had always gotten stronger through training, and there was a reason given for every single jump in power. No such explanation was ever given for why hulk and superman have "unlimited power" despite being human level characters.
Goku, eventually, gains the power where he goes from being a solar system buster to being a universe breaker. Thats a ridiculous jump if you look at the size of the universe and run some calculations using NASA data the jump Goku gets from End of Z to Start of Super is fucking insane. From barely surviving Buu to matching Beerus is ridiculous. But they gave an explanation. He performed a ritual of divinity that elevated him to God Class Strength. There you go. An explanation. You can disagree with the logic but at least they gave a reason and have been consistent about it.
Hulk and Superman on the other hand are human level characters who have unlimited strength for no fucking reason and they keep getting stronger because "hulk always mad" and Superman has "unlimited potential".
Why should I ever care about hulk or superman? They never struggle. they will always be immortal and will always be strong enough to win any fight. Goku however, lost to Krillin. Lost to Tien. Lost to Roshi. Lost to Vegeta. Lost to Ginyu. Lost to 19. Lost to Cell. Lost to Buu. Lost to Beerus. Lost to Jiren. Fuckin Goku has lost more fights than he's won and they actually give a reason why his power keeps growing. Superman and Hulk just, "get angry" and "use their real strength" so glad that superman can relax on a beach to get his powers back. Its just ridiculous how insane their strength is when they are HUMAN LEVEL.
Hulk and banner are not the same they are two different people as said by the beyonders. The only time they are connected is when Hulk takes on smarter personas such as Professor Hulk or Mr Fix it
