Her beauty has had me enamored since I was 6 years old. I'm 31 now and it sounds weird but it sort of hurts that I will never meet the Charmian of 1965. RIP Liesel and thank you for this incredible time capsule.
I just turned 31 over a week ago and I know how you feel. The Sound of Music to me is a semi holiday viewing tradition. It was first and last for Julie Andrews as Maria. But as I got older, I got to appreciate certain other aspects even more.
thanks Charmain Carr and the and may your soul rest in peace .I enyed the views and feel that i was there too thanks to the production Sound of Music is perfectly a classic musical movie of all times thanks for sharing this ❤️❤️❤️
RIP to the beautiful Charmian and Heather and of course the one and only Christopher. You brightened my childhood and that of my children and you will remain forever young. God Bless all, such a wonderful film.
Charmian is so beautiful, it's almost painful. RIP good soul. To Christopher and Heather RIP as well. You will literally all live on forever. This was great of you to post. Thank you.
What a great time it was to be alive. I live in Austria, but I have never seen Salzburg like this. Thank you for this treasure Charmian, one of the most beautiful people to have walked on this earth.
Wow, what a special gem to watch! A docu-tour of beautiful Salzburg, Austria in 1965 and special behind-the-scenes of "The Sound of Music", beautifully narrated and hosted by the lovely late Charmian Carr! 💚💛💙💜💗🌷🎵👒
I did 3 tours of the Sound of Music while stationed in Germany. I loved the city of Salzburg. The food was great every where I went and heard music at various places. I don't think I have seen a more beautiful place in my life.
what a beautiful gem to share with us! I always loved how gracious Charmian was of her "Liesl" legacy. Being grateful was one of her most beautiful traits. How lovely she got to be a part of such an iconic movie and city.
A sincere thank you for this upload. It's absolutely iconic. Felt like I was right there with the cast and crew. Beautiful Charmian Carr had such star qualities, what a class act. She looks like a supermodel. I loved the conversation she had with Julie Andrews on the set, so sweet. What a fantastic documentary of masterpiece film "The Sound of Music." This film inspired me so much that I traveled to Salzburg and other parts of Austria and even got to work and live in a village in the Tyrolean Alps close to where Maria Von Trapp is from. Love Austria and love 'The Sound of Music." Julie Andrews is a gift to the entertainment world, as was Christopher Plummer. A big thank you to the late Robert Wise for being such an awesome and brilliant director.
15.FEBRUARY.2021🇦🇺🇦🇺✝️✝️🌹🌹DEEP IN MY HEART AND SOUL HAPPY VALENTINE TO ALL WHO MADE THE SOUND OF MUSIC UNFORGETTABLE AND MYSTICAL. EVERLASTING MEMORIES CHARMIAN, HEATHER AND MR CHRISTOPHER YOU ARE NOW IN OUR CREATOR'S ETERNAL PALACE. YOU WILL BE TERRIBLY MISSED. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🌹🌹✝️✝️
Where can I find the instrumental of my favorite things that plays from 0:00 - 0:27 ? I can’t find it anywhere. I believe it plays at the beginning of the party scene In the movie too. This version seems to be heavy on strings: I adore it!

Missing some members of the family. RIP Charmian, Heather, and Christopher...
So beautiful! I can’t believe I’ve never seen this until now. RIP Liesel
A fascinating documentary, beautifully photographed and superbly narrated by the late Charmian Carr.

I’ve yet to make it to Europe and my parents are hoping they’ll take me someday.
i'll never forget you Charmain Carr

Thank you so much! I love anything The Sound of Music related! I love Julie Andrews so much! 💜💜
RIP Charmian Carr I love Julie Andrews too
The most beloved family... And the girl who's forever 16 going on 17...
Charmian Carr is so gorgeous she didn't need any makeup at all. But I love this movie just the same.
Missing Liesl Charmian Carr brought me here..I miss her R.I.P. the iconic eldest sister of the Von Trapps 😭😢⚰️💤
這是電影史上無懈可擊制作,令人一看再看的驚世電影,1965年我是15歲,今天大家都垂垂老矣,各演員亦一一離世,也是不能避免!
Thank you for uploading! I had this on DVD as a kid and loved it ♥️
Stunning!!
Watching 2021 is the town still looking dreamy?
Yes. With a whole lot more tourists and The Sound of Music busses/ bikes running through.
i can literally hear her talk for days my gawd
Amazing video thanks so much for posting :)
I love the little differences in her accents. Her real accent and her transatlantic accent in the film
I’ve never noticed it
Excellent thx!
You bet!
Liesel von trapp ❤
Charmian carr ❤
Gracias por subir estos vídeos maravillosos 👏👏👏👍
Amazing

Is this available without the surround, i. e. just the video that's in the little box?
Sure. On the dvd/ Blu-ray.
What a sweet girl!

@@TheJulieAndrewsArchive Yes, thank you!
This is cool! :)
Who's the couch at 3:59 please?
I have no idea. Neither does a quick google search bring up the name.
Her name was Pamela Danova, originally Matthews. She passed away in 2005 in Mijas, Spain.

Nice documentary, but who the heck wrote those subtitles? 😀
UA-cam.
If you are bored, you can always write real ones in text format and email them to me.
Thanks!
You can turn captions off anyway.
Hey uploader, can you upload the extra "From Liesl to Gretl: A 40th Anniversary Reunion"? I googled it but couldn't find the video.
If this isn’t the one you want, then no.
Salzburg - Sight and Sounds (1965) as seen by Charmian Carr ua-cam.com/video/tB6IAVRrYp8/v-deo.html
Its all a bit maudlin - but - a fascinating bit of film history nonetheless
My subtitels Said: see, you can’t sing
Very Nice of them 😔
That is kinda funny.
Please send your letter of complaint to UA-cam. Seems like their automatic subtitles aren't the best.
