Don't let batteries discourage you from the Logitech K380. I'd rather change batteries once every two years than have to re-charge my keyboard every few weeks. I've had both keyboards and I prefer the K380. Especially for the price which is even cheaper now than when this video was posted.
Also, when the internal battery of the apple's keyboard gets bad, it must be a pain to disassemble it to change it... as we know apple, they don't like us doing that.
The logitech keyboard batteries last for over 2 years in my experience. Logitech also states this. I've had mine since 2019, and I've never had to change the batteries.
I use the Logitech keyboard to switch between my apple phone, windows computer, and iPad. It’s very easy and connects very quickly. It’s an awesome keyboard!!!
Thankfully the caps lock thing doesn’t bother me. and nor does the batteries so I’ve ordered a pink version of this keyboard. Along with the pebble mouse that goes with it. Thanks for the review x
I actually much prefer the Apple keyboard. I had both, but returned the Logitech because the keys are round and I just couldn't get over that fact. I do like the fact that Logitech is less than half the price of the Magic Keyboard and the fact that you can connect to multiple devices which saves time.
Omg me too, because the keys are round so it is easier to miss and hit other keys. Like the whole point of square shaped keyboards is so its compact feeling and easy to type, hence why i am also regretting the K380 keyboard.
For the logitech keyboard, that capital letter signal isn't there so I resort to using Shift and whatever letter I want to capitalise to save time and not have to worry about wondering if the capital button is on or off. So I just keep it lowercase for me.
Its a bit silly, caps lock is such a weird functionality that is still around, like scroll lock. Or NumLock, where on MacOS it's actually just always on I guess.
Thank you so much 😊! In conclusion if you have a MacBook computer you don’t need to expand to much money in apple products, we have excellent choices like Logitech k380, is just perfect !
Lol batteries in K380 are a really great thing. 2 batteries are enough for this keyboard to work for 2 years. 2 YEARS! And magic mouse need recharging and that's lame
Hi Brandy, thank you for your nice review. I have the Logitech K380, and swear by it. Regarding the batteries, they last up two years without needing to be recharged.
Got the K380 and it was an INSTANT let down. Of course it's subjective, but for me - the round keys are a terrible idea. I never in my life thought it would be such an annoyance. and to be clear, I'm typing all my life, I'm 34. The general idea is that because they are round you have less percentage of success rate in hitting the key you want... and I don't care how many years and what pro typing you have - you'll probably miss some keys due to this build up. Also, not all keys require the same pressure to press. so for example - the letters are stiffer in the travel.... while other keys are a bit less. my point is that the keys (letters) are not commutable to press on (regardless of the round keys which do make it even more annoying). Generally speaking, I think the K380 is some kind of gimmicky keyboard and it is much more worth it to get the Magic Keyboard for twice the price. just my 2 cents.
Dude, as with everything, it just needs some getting used to. I type no problem on k380 after some time. I love it because it's small, thin and super portable. The plastic material is scratch resistant and the whole thing is super durable, as testified by many who have used the keyboard for years
My problem with the K380 keyboard is that the keys are rounded, my hands and fingers are not that big but even for me the keys are too small and its because they are round if they are rectangular shaped like the Magic Keyboard then it would be the K380 keyboard hands down. Now that i have the K380, kinda regret it a lil just a little bit.
Does the white K380 get dirty easier? I still confused to choose whether the black or white one because I'm afraid the white one can be dirty/stain/yellow by time Thank you for your help!
I prefer Microsoft Designer Compact keyboard, it's cheaper than Apple Magic, has the same stylish and minimalist design compare to Apple Magic keyboards, battery last up to 3 years, connect up to 3 devices, square keys not round keys, thinner and lighter than these two keyboards. But these keyboard use 4 2032 coin battery that not common, no height adjustment and too flat, and no backlight, and lastly no wireless dongle (only bluetooth)
I’ve been looking for a keyboard for my iPad Air 2020 for ages as I refuse to buy the magic iPad one for £200+. I was looking between these two but decided to go with the apple one to match all my other apple products I also bought it for £82 U.K. bargain x
Logi keyboard its just esthetic and pretty, but at the beginning its a little uncomfortable to type in, bc its so little, and I have small hands, but I think its little, and the mouse logi also is uncomfortable but its pretty IDK! THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Just bought a K2 but didn’t love it. Today I went to Best Buy and picked up a Logitech K380. Cost 40% of the Apple keyboard, same warranty, more responsive keys and easier BT connection. I’ll save the money and get over the caps lock indicator.
Hii I have a question:) So I know you can connect 3 devices on the logitech keyboard, but what if you want to switch out one of the devices and connect the assigned number to another device? Are you able to that? And if I am able to change it, how do you do it? I really wanted to know this since I'm getting this keyboard in a few days and I want to try this on more than 3 devices :)
There’s also the fact that the Magic Keyboard’s built in battery will degrade over the years, meaning you’ll need to buy a new keyboard. I’d rather buy a bunch of batteries than having to trash a keyboard because it won’t hold a charge.
The Magic Keyboards it's loud as hell and has a build-in battery, so if that die, you need to buy another one...good luck with that. With the Logitech, just buy new batteries...
Why would it affect the WiFi connection? It connects via Bluetooth and Bluetooth is a different type of connection that WiFi. It's like comparing apples and oranges.
I have the money, still don't buy it because it's simply not practical. Logitech works with Windows and Android too. Apple doesn't. That's such a big plus!

How light is the keys on k380? Do you get tired if you type a lot?
Great review! I would choose the Logitech - more affordable, no need for charging, seamless switching from MacBook to ipad :)
Can it be used with Android tablet too?
@@dishasarkar.haven.inkonhearts Yes

Same here, I just do Shift and then the letter I want to capitalise which saves time and I love how the typing is subtle yet satisfying.

How is round keys bad?
does logitech keys are hard to press? i have logitech k380s and keys take extra pressure to press

@@artelisx haha yes ofc I don't capitalise in informal chats but yeah as a masters student unfortunately I do 😂
@@artelisx yeah, it's me

you can also use universal control if you want to use you're keyboard with you're iPad and MacBook at the same time and it works perfect
Thank you, this video was very helpful and informative for me. The quality was also very good for such a small channel.
Thank you so much 😊! In conclusion if you have a MacBook computer you don’t need to expand to much money in apple products, we have excellent choices like Logitech k380, is just perfect !

Excellent review. Just one caveat though, for Apple Magic keyboard when battery dies the keyboard dies. That's not the case with Logitech K380
@Parikshit Panwar it becomes a wired keyboard after 4-5 years when battery no longer works
Logitech battery life is 2 years

“Gimmicky” bruh the K380 is 30 bucks, you get what you pay for lol

Nice try apple 🤣 I am jk
Also do you touch type ? It makes a big difference. It could be your typing that's causing it

hello so expensive the magic keyboard, duh.. and i just found out it's disposable after the battery dies.. not even rechargeable?!
Never understood why the enter button is smaller, than the right shift button. Looks weird for me
Really good comparison!
Great review. You got straight to the point.
Thank you so much, the comparisons were straight to the point…
hii if its ok to ask what did u search to get ur laptop wallpaper?
is there a "home" and "end "button there?
Does the white K380 get dirty easier?
I still confused to choose whether the black or white one because I'm afraid the white one can be dirty/stain/yellow by time
Thank you for your help!
No, not at all, and if it is, it'll be very easy to clean (I've used the white one for 6 months)
correction:
With logitech options you can see the icon on the screen. (Maybe that was what have you meant with the "look at the screen" part)

I have the black one. What I hate and don’t understand is why they switched the Fn button for the control.
What's the name of your macbook stand?
The QWERTYUIO keys don’t work sometimes (and sometimes the #1 & #2 keys) on my apple keyboard. What’s up with that?
Great review! ❤️
CanI know where did u purchased the iPad stand raiser from
I’ve been looking for a keyboard for my iPad Air 2020 for ages as I refuse to buy the magic iPad one for £200+. I was looking between these two but decided to go with the apple one to match all my other apple products I also bought it for £82 U.K. bargain x
or spend 30£ for the same experience with some minor details missing...
Does the ESC button on Logitech keyboard work properly when you use it with your macbook?
Yes it does.
Yes works with my mac Air.
exactly what I need , thank you a lot for sharing

i use this one for mobile use
my k380's 'a' and 'n' buttons stopped working for me within 2 weeks of use. wouldn't recommend it at all
I bought the Logitech MX keys for MAC it has backlit keyboard and much more better than Apple Keyboard.
I just bought a keychron and I think I would have been happier with that flatter vibe of these two. 🙏

just press the button that youd like to use for 3 seconds
I think the batteries aren't a problem for the logitech K380. Much more hate charging the magic keyboard every other day.
You won’t be charging it that often. More like once a month if that. Possibly even better depending on your usage.
There’s also the fact that the Magic Keyboard’s built in battery will degrade over the years, meaning you’ll need to buy a new keyboard. I’d rather buy a bunch of batteries than having to trash a keyboard because it won’t hold a charge.
In the logitech keyboard, the battery lasts for more than six month. Much better than charging your keyboard every week.

No it should not impact either connection.
my k380 suddenly stop working properly after mac os bug sur update
Oh no baby girl you shouldn't have given away the Logitech because those batteries last for 2 yrs!!
Best choice 👌👍😎
Logitech Keyboard battery will last 2 years.
Yes minimum, I haven't changed since 3 years with good usage
i would go with APPLE i always go with apple my bank account is crying
nice video , thank for sharing
You have nice hands

All these people saying the Logitech is better 🤣
If you had the money for the the magic keyboard I guarantee you would buy it
No
Maybe if Apple makes different colors for their keyboards, otherwise that’s a hard no
I have the money, still don't buy it because it's simply not practical. Logitech works with Windows and Android too. Apple doesn't. That's such a big plus!
The Logitech is considered better cuz 1) - more colors and 2) very imp- can connect to multiple device rapidly.
I have the money. And I buy the Logi
logi is better
