Penn State scored on WVU in the last seconds to cover. Neal Brown said they haven't forgotten that the other day.

@kevinchandler179 Keep dreaming, you think an improved offense from last year at home is going to score less points than it did in Beaver stadium last year? Give me a break lol.

Yeah but we have two new coordinators, so you are essentially playing a different team with the same gap in talent as last year.

OSU’s roster is one of the best in the conference. OL and LB are both debatably top 10 units in the country, the WR corp is absolutely stacked (especially with Stribling back), and Ollie Gordon needs no interdiction. Keep in mind Alan Bowman couldn’t start to really build chemistry with receivers until he became the starter in week 4, and Stribling (who seemed to be his receiver of choice) went down early in the season. His TD/INT numbers are really bad at face value, but when when you consider that OSU had the best RB in the country to hand the ball off to for an easy TD, and fact that the INT/Attempt numbers weren’t awful, it paints a much better picture. The only potential weakness I see is DL, but assuming their new DL coach pans out well this year, there shouldn’t be any glaring holes in the roster

OSUs 2021 defense was one of the best defenses in the nation. Last year was year 1 of going to a 3 man front with a new DC. Regardless, Phil Steele ranks OSU in the top 15 most improved in all defensive categories. He also has OSU as his number 1 projected offense in the big 12. Idk how some of you guys think this schedule is harder this year than last year. It's easier for OSU. No OU, TX, KU, or ISU. The only ranked games will probably be KSU and Utah. Anything less than 10-2 would be a letdown.

Yes, we did lose to OK State and Penn Stat. Both games WVU had a chance to win going into the 4th. The oklahoma game was the only one that was completely out of reach. I like your channel, but maybe do more research. Good video. Thanks

It's the premier nonconference game the Big 12 has against a ranked big 10 or sec game in week one. The national narrative of the Big 12 will be judged by WVUs performance against Penn State. If you all are Big 12 fans you should be cheering for WVU cause a big win over Penn State looks good for the conference as a whole.

Look at the end of the Rich Rod era/beginning of the Dana era, that was enthusiam. Brown didn't exactly hit the ground running and the fan base sorta simmered down..not saying he's beyond redemption, but one decent year does not a program make. Saying all this as a WVU fan, just a realist.

Penn St lost a ton of talent and got 2 new coordinators. Not sure how people expect them to take a step. I believe PSU is only being picked as a pre-season top 10 team because they avoid Michigan and Oregon.

@@CouzsCornerSports Top 2 DEs, Top 3 CBs, Top WR, Top TE, Top 3 OL, and a LB that most thought would get drafted. Brought in Harris and Fleming who are excellent, and Rucci who hasn’t lived up to his HS ranking. I love Abdul Carter, I think he is a top 10 pick for sure. Penn St’s 2023 team was their most talented they’ve had in a long time, the draft proved that with 8 guys being selected and 2 who signed UFA contracts. I think their offense takes a step, I believe in Allar more than most, but their defense will not be elite like it was last year, It’s definitely not top 3 in the B10, maybe not even top 5.

This is a Trap game for Penn state James Franklin is notorious for disrespecting/overlooking teams. Garret Green will respond to a great Morgantown crowd. WVU has a real shot. Having attended WVU as an undergrad and Pitt for law school the Pitt game at Acrisure Stadium is not a real road game. Even dating back to Old Pitt stadium that crowed has always been a majority WVU fans. Pitt has poor attendence, WVU travels well and people love going to the "pro" stadium. The rivalry is much more importiant to WVU (Pitt sees PSU as thier big rival". WVU has hone field advantage in Pitts house.

As a WVU fan, NB wasn't ready for P5 football when he arrived. My honest fear is that he overachieved last year and we return to 6-6 on a pretty soft conference schedule. Hiring his buddies, no real offense mind, and lack of enthusiasm around the program is still scary. Oh to have the choice between NB and luke f. again...hope I'm wrong, commenting for a friend

      1) They didn’t pick Brown over Fickell. Fickell turned the job down or wasn’t interested. 2) we have arguably the toughest schedule in the league. 3) Lack of enthusiasm? Where have you been? There is all kinds of enthusiasm.

Not on the same level "on paper" but upsets happen. Former Pitt QB Tyler Palco made a forecast on his Saturday morning FAN radio show that WVU will upset Penn State as the Nittany Lions play a rare OOC road game against a P5 team. Although PSU was successful a couple years ago at Auburn, Palco says they lose in Morgantown. Glad to hear you were able to secure a ticket since so many PSU season-ticket holders, especially from W. PA, received a rejection from their ticket office.

We hung with you all in Beaver stadium last year until the last quarter with an untested young team and have greatly improved since last year. You are playing an opening road game infront of 60k plus juiced up mountaineer maniacs with a more experienced confident team after finishing the season strong at 9-4. You are all only kidding yourselves acting like this game isn't going to be a barn burner.
