The one way that the Big 12 is healthier after TX and OU left is: Everyone in the Big 12 is roughly equal in terms of market value so no individual school can throw their weight around. It's more of a true partnership.

I think Texas and ou in sec...usc and pac 12 teams will regret their moves

Doubtful. The PAC doesn't even exist anymore, so it makes no logical sense that it was a mistake to leave it.

I'm an OU fan **ducks flying fruit** but I think the new Big 12 looks like a fantastic conference, and will be more fun to watch than the ACC. I think the future is bright for a third conference, that already has a lot of quality programs, plus possible future acquisitions from when the ACC folds.

They put on a band-aid. The next few years is auditions for the limited slots available for the super league. Love the Big 12 but you can't replace those brands.

The Big XII did as good a job as it was possible to do after losing Oklahoma and Texas. Say what you want about their new commissioner, but he knows how to get things done and they are in a good spot. Better than before? No, probably not. But better than anyone expected a few years ago.

As others have said…. It’s audition time for any remaining golden tickets to whatever the top tier will be going forward…
Get your makeup on. Time to look as pretty as possible over the next 5 years or so..
