Amazing. This is the future. The brain is truly the best model for new research. The opportunities that this can open are almost unfathomable in my option.

My CPU is a neural net processor, a learning computer. By the Terminator model: T800.

You mentioned visual shape recognition, not color, hue, or shade. Will that be later implemented ? Since its early in development. Or is that not necessary ??

In other words, given separate pictures of, and in same position, a photo of say a bengal tiger and a siberian tiger, can your syNapse system differentiate ???

Can this combine with neurolink, put in human brain.

5.4 Transistors? What about 10.0 transistors?

Seems like nothing could go wrong ethically with interfacing with the human brain? Wow

Your over exaggerated sarcasm is fear mongering, any attempt to control our environment is risky and we should move in carefully studied increments.
What is your recommendation? Should we stop trying to understand nature because movies show us how scary they are?

Because history tells us that humans have always had the best intentions for the populous

Well put. The sinking feeling I have is...if this is what they're willing to show anybody on Earth...what has DARPA (et al) already done with these? IMO, our only hope is that the AI singularity will be followed by a similar path of less and less violence (as far as we obviously still have to go, we live in the LEAST violent time in history) in its evolution. Since it will evolve from that point extremely quickly, hopefully, it will become a "Silicon Ghandi" of sorts, and achieve enlightenment + peace. No amount of Ludditism can stop this now.

Thank you for putting these online. It's amazing to me what the scientists and engineers came up with.

Exciting! Totally behind hardware enabled Neural Networks. Will be incredibly useful for classification tasks on large data streams :)

Very Cool! Would love to see more about transforming data into retina representation and spikes for TrueNorth.

IBM! I DREAMED of working there as a young nerd. Alas, didn't get to, but it still makes me completely happy that the news / tech hard revolutionary push came from IBM and not a young upstart, LOL! Can a brother get a Compass simulator though? Can I give you some multiple of $k dead presidents for a TrueNorth chip?!
