He's also very useful with his splash damage and arcing shots instead of the normal straight forward bullets, and his trap can be a quick stun for people who aren't looking out for it

As a Junkrat main, I find that there is never a moment where playing him is not enjoyable. Although, I do feel sorry for those that aren't Junkrat mains and have to deal with the new buffs placed on him
not really, seeing as it gets multiple updates a year and also, it has a pretty large player base compared to other shooters after just a year and a half. All of this and not to mention that it has multiple competitive pro leagues. Sorry, but Overwatch is far from dead right now.
