- Pokemon Scarlet just released and they were supposed to be a huge leap forward for the Pokemon series, but instead they were awful. Now there are lots of things about Scarlet and Violet that are awful, so in this video I will be talking about the 10 worst things about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Are y'all enjoying Pokemon Scarlet and Violet nearly one month after it released??
Yes it’s a great game
I am definitely enjoying the game. I think a lot of the complaints around the games are a bit weak, but that's just my opinion. The bugs are definitely an issue, although I have not run across any in my playthrough, I have seen the videos. I will say that I am completely fine with the gyms being the way they are. Most open world games that I have played always have areas that you get into and realize, "Oh, I need to do some work before I come here.". I think that's the same here, and I really enjoy it. I go to the ice gym and think, "Oh Crap, this is crazy!". Then I come back later after putting work in other places, and wipe the floor with them. It gives the sense of accomplishment.
This is bait, right?
It's not the best game, but there is no way it's as bad as this video makes it out to be. Some of these are subjective points, e.g. pokemon design
Others are cool extras which don't particularly detract from gameplay necessarily
Team Star might be my favorite group of hoodlums in the series.

A lot of decent points made in the video. I agree with majority of them:
- While I can overlook the wild pokemon not scaling by levels due to say territorial and habitat hardships and to give a wild experience, it absolutely doesn't make sense for level scaling to be absent for Gyms- especially when we confirm in post game that they can go harder depending on the challenger if needed. The reason why level scaling is important is because while you feel triumph from overcoming a challenge you werent supposed to- too much of it just makes the ending anti-climatic and ruins the experience a lot of times, making it feel boring or like a chore.
- Voice acting is ABSOLUTELY needed. As of recent, and especially SV, the story and dialogue has been written as if it SHOULD be voice acted.
- Open world absolutely lacks landmarks and iconic locations. Everything is just X habitat and sorta a bummer. Even the legendaries are stuck in random wallsides.
- Graphics and performance is horrible, no words to be said.
- Quite a few Pokemon are literally slot fillers: Finizen, Gholdengo and Paladean Tauros (all 3) to name them. They just serve no purpose
While on the other side:
- Team Star is a good take imo. It never made any sense why in each region we somehow ended up foiling plans of organized criminal groups. Team Star being a team of kids not only fit the theme but also made the most sense a 'rival' team has so far.
- The intro was honestly not too bad- and would've been no problem at all if it had voice acting.
The worst part about this is that SV is actually FUN. I enjoyed it. It is exactly because I enjoy it that all these flaws piss me off more because a lot of these would be easily solvable and make the game 10 times more memorable if Gamefreak just put the effort to.
Saw this guy calling Pawmi the 3rd dog Pokemon and not Maschiff.

None of Legends Arceus is improvements. My advice.. get the new Pokemon, add them to your living Dex and forget about these game. Maybe game freak will get it right in gen 10 but don't pre-order
