Did Samsung do enough with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 to entice you? Based on what we know so far, it will definitely have some advantages over something like the Moto Razr Plus, but it still needs to catch up in the style department. How important is that to you?

I like the 3.9-inch outer display...I was starting to get worried.
The trade in offers on samsung are probably insane again. Getting freedbe like headphones or a watch and storage upgrade and almost 100% trade in credit. That will be a no brainer to upgrade from flip 5 to the 6.
In Australia they offered me $440 for a almost new flip5 512gb,I will keep it,I also have a razr 40 ultra which I prefer more than the flip 5,it's my daily phone the Samsung I use it now and then, but I will not trade it in for 440 I can sell it for almost 700..
@@knighttemplar7617 u have to wait until he actually pre order trade in is happening then u get the deal.
Idk Moto doesn't have the consumer loyalty or trust that Samsung does. You also can't really build an ecosystem around a Razr that you can with a Flip so I think should be accounted for too. It's literally a battle of style vs substance in this case. You get more style with a Moto, sure but you get more usage out of a Flip IMO.
Agree with this and of course the difference in build quality
I bought both last year, still have them but the Razr gets the majority of the screen time, just find it more fun to use and the outer display functionality and navigation works and integrates flawlessly with its program. I like the new Razr and I am not a heavy user so the beauty an design experience of the Razr makes my screen time more enjoyable and thats all that matters to me. If Motorola offers a trade up program that is anywhere near as good as Samsungs then I will upgrade, I hope so as I want to support Motorola, I dont miss the updates as a casual user.
I have had both phones, and I like the Motorola better.
I wanted dex on the flip 6 and it still doesn’t have it.
Updates and support is what granted Samsung a strong place in this market
they haven't really added anything to functionally cool to the flip 5 software wise since launch. I wish they'd do more with the cover screen
@@wmurch3 that's a different topic, what I meant is that Samsung keep your devices running the latest software and security patches for long which when you pay 1000 plus for a device it's the minimum to expect from the manufacturer.
Making a clear distinction with what the cover screen does (widget type experience) and what the main screen does as samsung did is something that i think is a better implementation than using apps fully on the cover screen which to me feels like a gimmicky experience. Although i do agree that more apps should have been supported without using goodlock
Absolutely 💯
If companies like Moto keep doing this they will be obsolete. Software is where it's at. They better jump on board or sink its up to them.

Maybe just a personal preference, but the Razr+ wins in the aesthetics department. That lovely Magenta wins big style points. As for software updates, I received the official Android 14 update this morning.
I agree i have both razr 40 ultra and the flip 5,the razr is my daily phone bi monthly uodates have been good for me,im in Australia,my flip 5is on Android 14,,ui6.1 the difference between both operating system i cant really tell, but yes Samsung updates are always in a timely manner..My razr 2020 got the os update basically at the end of life for support,my razr 2022 got android 13 last year, security patches turned up whenever and never on time, this will be my last razr, the 40ultra,if by some miracle Motorola/Lenova start getting better at os updates i may purchas a 2025 model untill then im going to use both these phones to end of life, unkess they fie before hand..
I was definitely one of those I don't care about the updates as long as they come person. Now I am more concerned about software updates. At least apple Samsung and Google have that part right. I love my Motorola stylus 5G 2024 but to be sitting at the February update is crazy. At least it does have the play store May update.
If they are going to keep making the same phones. Just buy the one a year before or two it's cheaper
I’m still wary of buying used foldables but if you can get a new old stock Flip 5, go for it
i like the flip better! cuz im not a fan of motorola software and fewer OS updates
Motorola reminds me of the early days of Samsung. Renaming variants for no reason, barely any software support. Market will force them to change like Samsung, I hope. Samsung needs competition.
Razr has a better cover screen and better use of a Flip phone.. But Samsung has better support and trade in credit.
Unless one is completely a Samsung fan, it is hard to swallow in buying the new flip if the looks and functions are more or less the same as last year, at a higher price than last year's.
The Razr looks far more sexy.
100%
Moto doesnt come in white samsung it is.
I don’t think the Samsung does either…
everyone else is saying flip6 is 4000 mAh
It is, I don't know what I said there, but it was a misspeak.
I haven't bought a Moto anything since 2014! Its cause Moto acts like Sony.... 🙃
Yeah, Sony is another odd one with support. Among other things with them.
Ill tell you exactly what they are missing.
I've had a z3 flip for the last 3 years. Never felt compelled to upgrade.
i bought the moto razr+ last year for basic andriod features samsungOS fails to offer on the foldables, yet i still main the z3.
so you wanna know what these clamshells lack that holds this market back infintum huh?
a flip button that springs the phone open. crazy right? sounds like a gimmick. not only is it stylistic, but it is also functional. this is the truth.
