Your daughter looks like her Father. Thank you for this beautiful capture of your landscape! I do all of the things you do, except my children are young Dogs😂. We have NO snow in our yard. And no sun for so long except one afternoon. It's overcast here. It is very very strange. We should have weather like yours. Wind, snow, blizzards, cold, lots of snow...but it is mud season all winter. We need some winter or let it be spring!

Concerning the old protected pine forest: Both the fjord (Forfjorden) and the valley (Forfjorddalen) with the pine forest has got the name from the pine tree. In Norwegian is pine =furu ....but in dialect is furu called forra ....hence the name For-fjord---...
Wind are measured in m/s (meter/second) and those "categories" you come with are for classifications of tropical cyclones that hits for example Caribbean and south/south-east USA. Such weather systems never come into the Northern Atlantic and to northern Europe and Norway. Norway only get high winds caused by frontal low pressures ....and there are only one category for hurricane force wind .....which starts with 32,6 m/s. For the storm mentioned in the video the strongest wind was measured to 54,5 m/s. The sea outside that area had waves up to 25 m. Within a few days they had 2 - 3 such weather systems passing through.
