Josh (who directs and edits all of TMNT, and is the voice of Krang) is absolutely incredible with his work. He wanted to bring that classic voice back to the forefront again, and he's doing so brilliantly :)
I love IDW krang and when reading krang’s line in IDW I always think of the 1980s voice. When seeing krang in IDW I always said that this is how I would picture krang would have been like if he was in 2003 (beside the cameo).
Anthony Rodriguez Utrom Shredder would probably work with him for a time, then when the turtles are dealt with and killed and US has the opportunity again to take over the world, he kills IDW Krang
What If 1987 krang clone himself to built an army and create his own utrom empire of japanese robot anime 70s, japanese robot anime 80s, japanese robot anime 90s, Star Wars separatist, covenant vehicles, covenant ships, terminator types, cylon, bionicle, zeon ship & all zeon mobile suits? What If 1987 krang had srmthfg formless of his own?
If so you should do more and different kraang voices. Like maybe Kraang subprime, or Classic kraang, or a little both. And other different voices for Kraang. Just an idea or a thought. If there are more back stories. And Utrom back stories too.
You know the best part about this is? The guy playing Krang sounds exactly like his voice actor from the 87 show Pat Fraley at least to me.

Krang doesn't have enough ooze to support a clone army.
